Ana: *Will go down in Dota history as one of the best players to play the game* Also Ana: "I don't even know what the fuck is going on, I can't even see my hero."
Ana comes in for his annual TI, bags multiple tens of millions of dollars and goes home into his retirement. Dude was younger than 20 when became a multi millionaire. The ultimate dota player
not depreciating ana’s skill and impact to og but if you look up his true history of becoming him a pro player(not ones that are interviews of him/his friends or relatives) you can find out quite a shadow side of him. im talking about how he moved to china and who helped him. And how he fucked up those people who basically gave him the opportunity to live in china and be invited to his first teams. He is one of the most talented players ever but not very good and honorable person. Could’ve at least pay something to his friend back who allowed to live in his house in new country and pushed him to esports organizations but he just ignored him despite they had a contract. I think that could be the part of the reason why he doesn’t participate much in interviews etc. maybe he feels a bit guilty for the things he ve done
@@fggdfgdfggsadvcvf5358 where did you get this info? Can I get a link? If this were true, I'm sure it would catch on quick in the dota community since there alot of OG haters
@@beaniekei8691 he's trolling, its the opposite of what he said. ana was a rising talent that was underpaid and had horrible contractual terms that were meant to trap him with the team and play for far below what he was worth.
Jerax has the best comment about Ana's buyback, just shows that both of them understand overview of how to win the game. But for me Jerax is the real OG magic. Sumail and Saksa are great though.
he did the math, doppledangered, microd a pl away while fighting, grabbed the bounty, sold talisman of evasion and ring of aquila all in the blink of an eye to ensure he had buyback. what a monster.
@@galax12370 you can't sell items when you're dead. he knew he's going to die he sold his items to secure buyback just in case he needs to get into the fight
Ana's presence of mind is mind boggling. The sheer processing he did on that particular moment is enormous, and it happened in just a split second just like ceb's point. Juking, micro-ing, thinking if he will have enough gold for a buyback, selling. He wanted to win, he didn't hesitate to sell his items, he didn't think about being a "full slotted" carry. He just wanted to win, not for himself, but for his team. That's a "team player" right there
When one of dota 2's genius calls you a genius, you know you're a GOD at the game. Its just crazy to see that even OG didnt realise Ana sold his items and got his buyback in time.
@@nwaarmalek6242 That's my favorite part of the whole clip lol. "I sold for buy back." "Oh you have buyback?" Knowing Ceb didn't hear/understand: "...Yeah yeah, I've got it." Just repeat the good news!
@@gorillaz9694 I remember seeing that live, as I see my screen right now. I was watching him Player Perspective in that period of the game. It was surreal. Just hearing the whole crowd in the background and the casters, as if nothing happened. I was asking myself, what just happened? Nobody saw that shit, am I going insane?
OG's previous line up had the perfect chemistry and that's what the other teams are lacking. They're good rn with sumail tbh but the magic from Ana and jerax was really different. Those 2 dude knows how the game is going and can perfectly execute strategies.
Yep you can see certain disconnection on their team play, they have lots of mechanical skills and decision making still, but mid game you can see them fumble a lot.
i completely agree. there's such a thing as team power level, and it's not necessarily the sum of its parts. OG prime roster is just a coincidental joining of skills and playstyles that gave them 2 TIs in a row. I feel that's not the case with OG's roster now. Still powerful, but nowhere near what it was.
@@jeremygonzal8603 yup. Honestly, since beginning I dont support Strongest team. team that build from all star player like secret, EG not my type. they have great skill, understanding game play but just too bored. outplay opponent with high skill farm, skill that above them, like nah. and chinese team in old good days just boring too, play really safety. OG really inspiration for viewer, and for other team too. now many organization build team base on chemistry too
from what i saw these past few matches, most of the time Sumail is just out by himself trying to get farm but end of dying and could not get online in time. So far Ceb and Topson have been picking up his slack as the hard carry, but not sure how long can that last. Sumail is a good solo player but not a good team player.
Look at his eyes as he darts from information to information. That's high scan rate. A skill that's required of jobs involving large amount of information, like piloting. And he's doing it through countless hours of practice, on his own. Amazing.
Just adding to what Ceb said. Ana was 1. Getting bounty rune, 2. Doppleganger 3. Controlling illusion 4. Manta 5. Change thread to agi (most likely to hit faster -> more chance getting illusion 6. Sold items.
Ana losing his passion for dota is quite sad but it happened to all of us and then one day you'll just miss it and go back to playing again. I hope to see Ana back and compete in the highest level, along side with Jerax if possible. It would be good if they join OG but it would be exciting if they join other teams.
He came back but maybe of lack of interest or see that maybe they weren't that stronger to win another TI(or a combination of both things) he left the game again.
I always see it as OG never being that player but rather the team. OG was Jerax, ana, topson, notail and Ceb. Replace anyone of them and they will crumble.
The most underated person here actually the one that found this miniscule details and tell us about it... If they didnt found out about it we might never knew this legendary plays from Ana
someone posted this play on reddit about 1-2 hour after the game was over..OP didnt give much description about what was happening and it took me like 4-5 replays to finally get it
What ana did/feel to be exact is -Realized that he was ganked -Pressure of being ganked -Checking the buyback amount -Securing the bounty -Manta -Faking the enemy with the illusion -Attacking the enemy with the illusion -Controlling the main hero -Going to the area of the shop to sell the items -Selling the items/cost of the items -Thread Switching (STR-AGI) -Trying to survive for as long as he can All happen in a second or two. WHAT A GENIUS! WHAT A GOD!
This small thing and super genius move that no one ever thought about, gave a huge impact that they can turn the game into beautiful winning. Ana executed it very well, super fast decision making in high pressure moment. What a play by one of Legend Dota 2
Ana understood at that time something that most of strong teams didn't understand at the very least at TI10 which is buybacking to win the fight, actually OG was the first and only team to do it well in TI8 that's why they made a lot of comebacks. This shows how advanced was Ana knowledge of the game for that time. Truly genius
jerax we miss you man. hes the OG magic, the way he plays oh man its like he never made mistakes. just him rotating and enabling from top to bottom damn damn damn. probably the greatest pos4 ever, currently yapzor is the best right now
Stop thinking dota is about 1 man, jerax the og magic? OG TI 7 roster had jerax-ana-notail and they had a quick loss at TI, when topson and ceb arrived then they won 2 TI , and when ana and jerax left then quick loss again , dota is not about 1 man carrying the game, is about team work
@@gonzalos.vasquezblas9834 its actually topson jerax magic. I love saksa but he couldn't catch up with topson. Everytime topson engage saksa wasn't there. On the other hand have you seen topson and jerax destroy everything togetherem jerax perfectly respond to topson ganking. Not sayong saksa is bad. But jerax topson is something beautiful and perfect. Because ana can get all the farm he wants and cause chaos.
Ana: "I dont know whats going on, I cant even see my hero" Also ana in the meantime: *sold items for buyback, move 1 illusion to fake them, take bounty rune.
You should've know if someone barely playing any pro scene in a year then comeback on TI with Io core and wreck shit in 100% win rate, he is already a legend.
Ana is a genius, even b4 it happens he already pictured it.so thats why ana calculating if he sell his item can he have enough gold to buyback.yes thats why i love ana and the rest of og
Hey @dota2, change the description. This happened during TI8, not TI9. Apart from that, good video. This really highlights the fact that Game 4 of the TI8 finals was such a highlight reel, and certain high IQ plays (such as this one) happened which led to the Ceb call. Just God of Dota things for the humblegod.
The whole OG team for both TI wins are just incredible, it's hard to choose an overall MVP, and then the team cohesion as well is just perfect. Truly the greatest dota team(s) ever.
Ana shows how chemistry is more important than being a mechanical player. I remember one interview from NoTail where he said Ana at first didn't even knew about deny or controlling the waves but even without that knowledge he was dominating the lane. Of course OG won 2 Ti's but for me it wasn't because their were the best individual players in their role but because their were the best TEAM.
@@nakirifannn1908 Man wish I did but its from years ago, I know its from a tournament Interview but which one I have no Idea, I just remember the quote.
@@nakirifannn1908 I think it's in the ti8 movie, I remember watching it whilst bingeing OG documentaries. maybe it's in the same clip with notail explaining jerax is like a dog..
he knew about deny and controlling the waves, he just didn't know about the creep pulling which is why he was probably losing lanes and winning games back then. also he is mechanically one of the best if not the best player. he was a kid back then and that's just something he was not aware of.
Before watching the video, I knew that he had to sell some items. But that tiny detail where he micro'd an illusion to juke LGD was new information to me. That was epic!
Doppleganger Pressured by being ganked Pressured into losing the final game Check gold Grabs bounty Juked an illusion to make sure Sells Aquila and Talisman Manta to buy more time or possibly escape Switching boots to give play with his HP or increase attack speed to create more illusions All in that one moment
i have watched this game literally a dozen times. I had never noticed this and I'm glad I can look forward to it when I watch the vods again after the threepeat.
truetruetrue,if ana dead without bb there lgd will have mega creeps at the very least and makes the game so much harder for OG,or lgd can jst straight end the game and win TI
If you think about it, it's an extremely simple action: selling items in the shop. What makes the difference between a regular joe and a worldbeater is consistency, expediency, and composure.
sumail can't fill ana's shoes. ana is the most incredible carry player to have ever graced the game. effortless, calculated and precise plays time after time on the world's biggest stage.
This is the play I worry, Sumail wouldn't make. He might be better statwise. But those - "How the fuck?" plays are so key to winning TI, where few are able to squeeze water from a stone.
Holy shit, I was on a discord watching this game with friends. To this day, my proudest dota moment is noticing Ana selling his items for buyback when all of my friends missed it
How hes literally multitasking in an instant, juking thinking about not only a problem but a solution in the same instant and the opportunistic use of the shop in his vicinity its the kind of play even a pro player rarely has. It is like he is playing with time slow on.
he did all that while also thinking "shit i'm getting ganked and i'll probably die" *sigh* man he was like awe man i played that badly but then it came out as a God like play to realize that he prioritized having buyback instead of finishing his item
Dont forget in that buy back fight ana made a really good move when he retreated and hit the siege creep to gain more illusions. its so random that the seige creep was that far in, infront of the psg's heroes. By doing this, im 100% sure he survived morph's wave attack and then brought morph's HP low enough for Ceb to kill.
The most beast thing about ana is that he didnt even said to his teammates that he played such a trick and calmly says "I have buyback" like he didnt want any praising or company like its normal for him
This is why I think Ana is the best carry for OG. This is a play that even Sumail will find difficult to do. Unfortunately, Ana lost his motivation to play dota.
