Tory Lanez literally held a gun at Dax (u can hear him saying hes strapped) rather than actually replying in a track. Dax threw some big shots and none of Tory's ghost writers could write a response
Yep personally I thought dax made Tory look like a fool. The existence of rappers like, Dax, Hopsin, Token, NF, etc., is why I think it's so offensive and disrespectful when people try to label J. Cole and Tyler The Creator as corny. 😅 Jokes aside, I actually don't think people should let any type of "corny" public perception stop them from enjoying an artist's music. There's a lot of songs that I enjoy from artists like Logic, Joyner Lucas, Chance The Rapper, Wale, Eminem, and others who often get labeled as corny (right or wrong).
@@ThisOrganiche used to diss rappers for not being good at rapping and their fans didn't like that basically 😭 also a lot of rap fans will label an artist "corny" simply cause their music isn't ignorant and actually has a message 🤦🏽♂️😭
@ihonestlydontevenknow4359 Yall actually wild if you wanna call Hopsin corny. Say what you want, but the bonafide GOAT Eminem himself passed his torch down to Hopsin, so hes grandfathered in whether you like it or not as one of the greats.
Well, good thing he’s a changed man in most eyes. 100x better then his past self (late 2017-2018, maybe early 2019). Examples of change in music and content: dear god, to be a man, dear alcohol, I don’t want another sorry, depression, gods eyes, album - pain paints paintings, and a real man. He’s overall a great person to his past proclaimed self image the past few years. Ain’t dickriding, I see a changed man when I see it.
I'm happy that Dax blew up, since I've been keeping up with him since his SoundCloud days. Back then he seemingly really cared about the community and his fans, I remember he'd talk to just about anyone who shot him a message. I can recall whole ass conversations I had with the guy and he seemed humble and down to earth and gave good advice to people who asked for it, but he really switched up and became obsessed with fame the higher the numbers got. I hope he gets his ego in check and makes amends for taking advantage of people in his past.
@@bigbeans6776 He’s 100x better person today than he was. He’s made amends with many people. Dax is a very good artist honestly. I saw him live in October.

@@onyi4180 I'm going to be honest with you man, Dax is corny ASF no cap. He has an ego, and D rides Eminem as much as Tom MacDonald does. The Joker performance type song is overrated and overused. Not trying to start beef between me and you, but if you actually listen to Dax willingly, you're as much of a clown as he is.
When crypt dissed him saying they would never work together again I was like sick, then they worked together again in like a year, and it was like ohhh RU-vid rap just isn’t it.

Dax scammed a lot of rappers out of money a lot of which appeared in a crypt music video about this very thing. It was a big deal, crypt doing a song with him in a year is not forgiveness it’s cash.
@@jasonmurdoc9533 I think they both respected each other's talents, regardless of what happened in the past. I honestly can't speak much from Crypt's perspective, but I have heard his Dax disses and his side of the story. On Dax's side he claims that he was only paid half of what he was told, so he sent a half-assed verse. It's hard to know who actually did what, since the real story would be in their DMs, however, knowing what I do know about Crypt, I don't think he would be the type to lie about it, but maybe he isn't telling the whole truth either. Dax did seem to do this to a few others, but I haven't heard of him doing anything like that recently. I was there when he was doing his reinventing his image and it looks like it wasn't just for show, like when Kanye tried it, but did the same thing, just with a gospel choir. Dax really has changed as an artist, and as a person.
Dax found a secret most people for some reason cannot figure out, the best way to succeed in life is to simply be different from everyone else. He is authentic, he does what he wants to do, and he built a loyal and dedicated fanbase doing it

I'm glad he managed to fix his career and clear his reputation though because he has proven he can make great music and be a great person he's recently released another Dear Alcohol music video this time based on the mega remix and pretty much he was the one who offered to get them all to travel to LA and make a professional music video and he even paid for their hotel rooms and he offered lunch too so it shows how much he's changed and matured since then and most of these rappers can prove they have what it takes to have talent they just choose not to because of the fanbase preferring the kind of music they're used to from them which mostly is fast rap or music that's country based or even political based music and it doesn't surprise me that there's alot of Dax fans who are Tom fans since they collaborated 3 times already so im sure Dax's new fans are mostly Tom's fans that didn't know about him prior and speaking of Tom you should do a video talking about him showing his music prior to making his current songs then show how he is in the present with his political style!

I've known about Dax since around 2021/2022ish and he tears the industry a new one on almost all of his songs, especially with his positivity in his music which I can't remember hearing anything like it elsewhere and it's inspiring and life changing lyrics vs just more ways of saying again about all your racks, guns, b*tches, and the club and whatever else type of stuff like that. I don't agree with Dax's past scummy behavior but I think that he's gotten much better in the last couple years and I know he's changed people's life around completely with his lyrics and for the better (mine included).
That’s not true. He’s not a poor mans Kendrick and Kendrick didn’t learn story telling and rhymes from em. He said once he learned how to pronounce words better by listening to ems music, that’s all. Doesn’t get deeper than that

I don’t like the idea that the “lyrical miracle” style of rap is the opposite of artistry. Lyrical miracle rap can be just as artistic as any other kind of rap. Just because you don’t like the style, doesn’t mean it can’t be done well. It’s just overplayed and a lot of it is corny. But there are people who do it very well

You have to be cocky, egotistical and think you're better than everyone else in the rap game. And the more people that diss you is a sign you're doing everything right.
He's a cornball. He rode that "janitor" trope of his as hard as Logic rides his "half black" trope, which is why Logic is also a cornball. He wave rides & panders to trends. All the same shit that makes people like Tom MacDonald also cornballs. Lyrical miracle rappers with no real substance & catered sounds.
It's business to chase trends and ride waves, don't get me wrong. It's a solid move for their bottom lines. But that doesn't make them any less corny in the end.
I feel like dax is a guy who shouldn't have blown up as much as he did and is still trying to hold on to that viral appeal no matter what genre he makes
