I honestly think necrosleep is really good, especially as it can be read as dead sleep as if the person dies as soon as they start not needing to sleep since corpses don’t require rest
necrosleep is one of the really nice creepypastas back in the day, especially in the rising popularity of it. Also, the fact that I am having basically the same sleep schedule of only being awake at night makes me relate more to the story
@@daisythegoddes3483at least Louis Cypher doesn’t instantly sound like hail satan when you read it out, worst anagram I’ve ever heard right there, there are a thousand better anagrams for that it’s crazy that’s the one they went with
Mal0 has always been one of my favorite stories, it's like a Frankenstein's Monster situation, misunderstood and as the story states, generally means no ill, just doesn't know how to interact properly. The original story unfortunately ends in tragedy if I remember correctly, but I believe it not to be Mal0's fault, they only know this one way to interact with people, and his appearance is an unfortunate hurdle
@@buckbumble1872there used to be a med like adderal that was like…a particle away from being meth. My brother used to take it and it made him a zombie, said he would never remember anything while on it.
I like to think that 1471 is exactly what the app description says, it's just leaking in from some other reality populated with creatures like that and the way it looks is just what a cute fun friend looks like in that civilization. Meanwhile in their reality the Skullhead version of SCP is researching why a mysterious app is terrifying random citizens with visions of a dancing hotdog.
Necrosleep mostly sounded appealing because I deal with a lot of those symptoms on and off anyways so it was like "Wow, more of the same BUT I don't gotta sleep sign me UP", but the ending just made me kinda Oh... Okay about it all jdfhdjhfd
It would be such a better pasta if it didn't have these weird mentions of the Soviet Ukrainian scientist (nobody who is Ukrainian will call themselves Soviet come on+it's Russians who are more known for weird experiments) and also if it didn't end up being a zombie pill. So lame lol. Don't get me wrong I love Resident Evil but man that's just cheap
I really liked the most how it started off really, the protagonist seemed relatively smart enough to not immediatelly go for the obvious evil zombie pills, and actually spent a reasonable amount of time digging up info and actually sharing his findings outside the blog. I will agree though the whole "oh yeah it came from the research of this one random easter european doctor" kinda took me out from it a bit, but even with the ending and mild satanic imagery it still felt more grounded than the Russian Sleep Experiment at least so that's a plus.
I remember seeing a narration of Necrosleep YEARS ago with fallout new Vegas footage in the background. But I didn’t remember what the name of the story was so I was always stuck wondering until now
@@YourFavoriteMrJ nope, just looked and his footage had fallout 3. The footage I saw had someone shooting gecko’s outside of a cave so it was NV I just have no clue who it was
Something I find so charming about these stories is how most of them have main characters that are kids going to and from school, because you know these are some kids' personal creative writing projects. You know these kids are now in their 20s or 30s today, and it gives such an interesting look into how the internet used to be. As someone who was in middle school during the height of creepypasta's popularity, it just feels so nostalgic and comforting.
@@ScreamingAllTheTime Also the characters being like "ooh it's so creepy" People with that strong a fear of death are funny to me, like really bro? you're creeped out by a picture of a carved hunk of stone?
It's really unfortunate how many missed potential there is when it comes to horror, the backrooms couldve been really terrifying but they had to add lore and like a million levels and outposts and crap, and I don't know much about scp but I've heard a lot about how they explained things too much, making everything a lot less scary. The confusing horror is always a lot scarier and can keep you up at night thinking of what happened or how something works. I'm not sure if this applies to this video that much but just thought I'd say it somewhere
What became of the Backrooms is literally missing the entire point of the Backrooms, it's supposed to be scary becasue of how desolate it is. Adding too much lore and entities to it ruined it. SCP works because it's at least just a collection of stories and you can just ignore the ones you don't like since there is a lot of good ones, though yeah a lot of the recent ones miiss the mark.
Ben Drowned is my go to example. Perfect story that ends on an ambiguous ending, leaving the reader unnerved and possibly confused. Then they follow it up with an ARG that's just like "Yeah it was just this goofy cult and the main character got sucked into the game, now they're fighting some cosmic horror or whatever". Just sucks all the mystery out.
Only scp I found scary was the one that was something like what you believe happens to you in the afterlife will happen, but now it kinda just brings me comfort
I LOVE MAL0 SO MUCH, she's such a good girl.. thing. creature. LOL I do like the idea it isnt aggressive or malicious, it just kinda exists. One of my fave SCPs honestly, her and 166.
Other than the cheesy Hail Satan anagram and the mediocre ending, I really liked the Necrosleep pasta. Interesting setup, just enough intrigue to keep the story going and a fitting “outsider” protagonist. Not necessarily a fan of the “oooooh this website does not exist ooooh” trope, otherwise pretty solid as far as creepypastas go
Not really related, but I appreciate the Red Dead Redemption footage. Reminds me of being 15 and listening to creepypastas while roaming around 100%ing the game.
Necrosleep is secretly a genius name. The Greeks and Romans conflated death and sleep by making the gods of those concepts, Thanatos and Hypnos, brothers. It’s a fact that’s even referenced in the famous soliloquy of Hamlet, in the phrase “to die, to sleep.”
Ngl the 3 questions ending disappointed me a lot. I kinda wish the bot was flat out just death itself. The way it described itself kinda leads you to that description. It would also explain how it knows a lot about them and how long the friend had to live. Wasn’t a fan I’d the possession but but everything else felt very much like, it’s death and not lucifer
@@Tarnished-bn5gq But the fact that it is trying to be a creepypasta is all it needs, just because it fails to be scary doesn't mean it just straight up doesn't count as a creepypasta. That's like calling a fps game "not a fps" because it's a bad game.
You ever hear the narrator Silver’s stories?? He’s read Some unique (I think?) game pastas in addition to being a genuinely talented narrator. Check it out
I could see one version of the Devil doing stuff like 3questions, like the guy who argued with God over Job's faith, or tried to swindle Jesus in the desert. Not so much the ultimate avatar of Evil, though. That guy's way too serious to mess with creepypasta websites
oh... i remember reading that unbranded laptop one when i was like, twelve. i couldn’t find it anywhere ‼️ for years ‼️ thank you for saving my life..... ♡
Can someone tell me what the background audio at 50:38 is titled? I know he put names to the audios in the description but I can’t figure out which one it is
The Necrosleep one bothers me because it makes no sense for the scientist to be Soviet and Ukrainian. Like yeah, Ukraine belonged to the Soviet Union at some point (not from their choice but it's not here or there) but literally no Ukrainian will call themselves Soviet, esp since Soviet Union hasn't been a thing for decades? Should have just kept him Russian since weird inhuman experiments were a Russian thing anyway.
