As to why the Yerushalaim video made it viral more than others. I would add on top of what Yerachmiel said about having the 4 Solos in the beginning which is also true. But I think the main thing is the childrens behavior. Usually if kids are stars you see them being full of themselves and having some sort of star complex. Over here you see kids with clean and great energy. Confidence, excitement, power, a good version of youthfulness, and no gaavah. More over the world usually excepts from ultra orthodox kids to be suppressed, mellow, afraid. Etc. and here you have the polar opposite. The confidence and being comfortable in their place radiates. In a way that you just don’t any kids on stage or off stage have that good mix of confidence, humility knowing your place and more. Aside from the top notch music level which Yerachmiel installed with the choir. There is a very very strong emphasis on midos and behavior. So it seems.
I love this! I enjoyed hearing about a lot of background information! I think it's crazy that the same viral video was actually posted earlier, but didn't reach its viral status. As a Christian, some of the songs have reaffirmed to me the importance of having strong faith in these times. One of my favorite songs in Me LaHashem Ailai, and I love the line, 'Shout out, so our faith can grow.' It's super inspiring to hear these young children say those words with such conviction. Listening to MBC has truly changed my life! I can't wait for the new album! I'm so excited to see what MBC and YB do next! And hopefully you guys do a show in St Louis or Chicago!
It's very nice to hear you say that :) I'd just like to correct the line you like so much, though, not to undermine it. The line is "Shout out, so our faith will show"
Interesting interview. I love watching the videos. I am not Jewish, but Christian. I love the songs about Messiah, and it is so great to watch the kids so excited to sing and dance about Messiah coming, the Temple being rebuilt, geula, Jerusalem. The songs are catchy, the joy is contagious. My favourite song is Yavo. Very meaningful as we approach the prophesied days!
Whow what great superb interview, thank you, not only do you give out great performances, songs and production, your interviews are always so interesting and meaningful
He didn't say he's not realizing the new album he just said he's not reading it now before Purim maybe he'll release it around lag baomer or something like that and maybe release a single from the album before purin
I remember the Simcha Song Tour. You did a concert in London! I was bout 9 or 10 at the time. I went back stage and met some of the boys. I remember it clearly. Speaking with Yishai Saks and a few others. 😊 I think Robert Lowy had just left the choir at the time. Ah wonderful memories!! Then it was an honour to meet you I’m person.in London. I think in 2006 or 2007😀
With all do respect, Yerachmiel is wrong! If he wants to keep the momentum going then now is the perfect time to release a album to keep it going. If people are following you now and they don’t see new content then they will fade. Miami is not going through a new album faze now like Yerachmiel says they are going through a “momentum”. So if he wants to keep it then a new album is needed. A huge fan btw!
its funny how i randomly found this song Yerushalayim from 2008. there is so many hebrew words i dont understand. i have a ashkenazi jewish background but my grandma kinda pushed it away after the war. which i get. but now im 28 and i kinda wanna know more about my background. but she died in 2019 so guess im locked on wikipedia
I relate to you so much, my grandfather is also ashkenazi jewish, but my mother hid it from me, I recently discovered mbc and I honestly feel so sad to not have grown up with this culture. But I appreciate all the more❤
MBC was always a talented bunch and I grew up with them my whole life, but here we are going into philosophy overload. The Jerusalem song is a nice catchy piece, and that's what it is.
JEREMIAH 16: 19 O Jehovah, my strength, and my fortress, And my refuge in a day of adversity, Unto Thee nations do come from the ends of earth, And say, Only falsehood did our fathers inherit, Vanity, and none among them is profitable. 20 Doth man make for himself gods, And they -- no gods? 21 Therefore, lo, I am causing them to know at this time, I cause them to know My hand and My might, And they have known that My name [is] Jehovah! (English for YeHoVaH)
Zechariah 8 Young's Literal Translation: 22 Yea, come in have many peoples, and mighty nations, To seek Jehovah of Hosts in Jerusalem, And to appease the face of Jehovah. 23 Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: In those days take hold do ten men of all languages of the nations, Yea, they have taken hold on the skirt of a man, a Jew, saying: We go with you, for we heard God [is] with you!
