Kid in the front reaction reminds me of my sons first coaster lol he was a nervous wreck before we took off but by the time we ended he was livid & ready to ride again!! Fun times!
Kid is me on Nitro at 13. First real coaster. Only went on because of peer pressure. I was TERRIFIED on the lift hill but after the second hill I was pure ecstasy. I was literally jumping up and down on my seat coming back into the station like, "Omg that was amaze! Can we do that again?"
I LOVE THE ROLE REVERSAL IN THIS CLIP!!! The son sitting in front of dad goes from FEARFUL to BLISSFUL. The son next to dad (1st time rider) goes from Blissfully Unaware to stating a Fearful vow to NEVER ride another coaster again. Great Fam experience nonetheless.🙌
Why, th first drop is the best part of the ride in the back, and you get more airtime in the back. Every coaster enthusiast likes the back more because it pulls more G forces.
Dominick has the coaster lovers twitch after they stop lol. 3:23 is the sound of a new coaster addict lol. If Nick would open his eye he'll learn to love them too. Way to go kids
I passed out on intimidator 305 at kings Dominion but not the intimidator at Carowinds two very different coasters but share the same name. Also probably the reason for the such difference in track layout it due to B&M doing the one at Carowinds and intemin doing the one at kings. Both amazing rides and recommend anyone ride em when visiting the east coast!
This ride doesn't get as much credit as it really should since Fury 325 was built next to it but this ride is still a very good ride with alot of pretty decent airtime over those camel back hills and that first drop can give you a pretty decent floating free fall sensation. I grew up riding roller coasters and Carowinds is my home park and I used to love going to theme parks and would hop on anything with no fear and loved it but this past Oct 8th 2023 my and my sister Ashlyn who also grew up going to theme parks with me took my sister Ashlyn's husband for his 1st time going and also took our Autistic younger sister April for her first time ever to an actual theme park and not just a state fair cause she had seen me watching youtube videos about theme parks and Carowinds all the time and for the past couple years she asked if one day me and her could go so I could take her for her 1st time and so she could ride a roller coaster for the 1st time as well as some other rides but due to things like Covid in the past couple years and things going on withing our own lives I haven't had a chance to make it happen till October 2023 and I myself had not rode a roller coaster si ce 2015 and honestly forgot just how forceful and the sensations they can make you feel are like and the first couple roller coasters were a bit more than what I remembered or expected but I quickly got used to it again and my autistic sister April was wanting to jump right into Fury but I knew if I let her do that not knowing anything at all about how being on a roller coasters feels that it would have been a bad idea and would terrify her possibly to the point of being g scared of riding anything at all ever again and I didn't want that so I got her on some of the smaller and less intense ones first and tried to build her up to Fury so her first roller coaster was the Flying Cobras boomerang and before we got on it and as we got ready to start the ride i just kept reminding her a d promising her that she would be completely safe and okay even if she may feel like its scary and that i would be right there beside her and with her the whole time through the whole way and she was so excited and not showing much of any nervousness altho i know she was just a lil but most of it was because she had never done anything like it and didnt know anything about what its like and once we started going up the lift backwards i kept trying to make sure she was ready and also keep her calm but she wasn't expecting the way it feels to be going slowly backwards up that lift then suddenly be let go out of nowhere to come rushing back down to be tossed upside down and as we were let go and coming down the lift back thru the station she started to freak out a Lil for only like 3 or 4 seconds but I quickly reminded her that I was right there beside her and that out sis Ashlyn and her husband Will were right behind us that she was okay and I enterlocked my arm thru her arm to help her feel more safe and reminded her that she is okay and to have fun and enjoy it and not let it scare her too much and after that she just realized she was finally doing it and it was scary but fun and her panic screamed suddenly turned into her yelling "YEAH WOOHOO!!!" and then when it was done she couldn't wait to tey the next one wich was Hurler and she didn't really freak out on it but she wanted to do Intimidator and kept asking to do it next after everything we rode and finally we did and she freaked out going down that 1st drop cause the whole way down felt like we were free falling and floating up out our seats but I calmed her down and after the first drop by the turn after where you start going towards the back of the park towards Afterburner she was okay and started doing the same thing turning her yells and screams of panic into yells and screams of fun, adrenaline and conquering a new big roller coaster. After Intimidator we later got to ride Afterburner and she didnt freak out on it at all but I've always loved Afterburner because of how its a good ride it's not boring but not too extremely intense or scary and is pretty smooth with the exception of May e the corkscrew and is just such a fun great ride. Sadly we didn't get to do Fury but I kinda worried about if she would really be able to handle Fury anyway bit I was so glad and proud of her and loved that she got to go and enjoy herself and ride them finally..
I ain't reading all that, but this is kinda the vibe I get from behemoth and Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland, although now we also have Yukon striker so they're all kinda on even footing.
I remember my first ride, Shockwave at Six Flags Magic Mountain and then I rode Riddler. I was eighteen. I feared roller coasters all my childhood life. I had no idea I would be a fan. I wish I were brave like your children.
Reminds me of when it first opened it was my first coaster and my mom had to drag me on the ride kicking and screaming the whole time and I don’t regret it once started a new love of coasters for me
A soon as it opens this will be the first thing I ride mark my words I’m so excited I’m going everyday this summer I went as a kid back in 2018 I’m now 17 and miss carowinds so bad and excited for it to reopen
Haha great reaction, very big first roller coaster! My wife closes her eyes on the ride, and I can't help but feel like that makes it scarier. You just feel the sensations but don't know what to expect, which IMO, makes it scarier. But to each their own :)
For his first time and his first coaster it’s crazy I remember fury and intimidator when I rode it. It really was fun. Intimidator is my favorite ride to though. GGs to him man he’s brave
I had a traumatic first coaster experience…someone lied to me then I felt peer pressured at the age of 8 by my brother and his friends. So I got on and hated every second of it. I didn’t ride another coaster until my 8th grade end of year trip to a local theme park and I now love them. But I think I would have naturally loved them from the start had I not been forced onto the biggest coaster in the area for my first thrill ride of any kind. The only thing I’ve done up to that point was maybe the swings or the log jammer. The only rides I hate with a passion now are rides that spin and Pitt Fall (146 foot straight drop)…the ones that slow you down a bit on the way down and launch you back up are fine but I hate the anticipation…I’ll ride them but I get super anxious and don’t really get any enjoyment out of it besides the view.
OMG LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!. I would love 😍 to ride this coaster bc of intense speed. The more speed the better. Having my stomach in my throat PRICELESS!!!!!!
i rode this last time i went to carowinds and i started crying as soon as it started moving. i had my friend hold my hand the whole time and i just sat there screaming while they were like “it’s ok! it’s ok! ur fine! one more drop! oh wait…two more but it’s ok!”
Yo I got on this for the first time Friday let’s just say my homies not my homies no more 😂nah but is was great experience too bad I couldn’t ride the fury due too the issues wit the beams connected to the tracks plus all the rides was close except for the Carolina viper and night hawk
