I saw this tonight at the theater and I thought it was fantastic but admittedly still a massive bummer. Definitely one of my favorite films of 2023 for sure. And yeah it wasn't 100 percent accurate to what happened but that doesn't bother me because it's a biopic and it even says it was inspired by a true story in the opening credits. The only problems I had with it were minor. Really due to the pacing and the awful Ric Flair actor. But other than those things it was really good.
This was my favorite film of the year as well. I thought Zac Efron stole the film as well as the three other actors who played the brothers. I'm definitely hoping this gets the best picture win and Zac Efron deserves an Oscar nomination for his performance.
1:27 I always remember that actor from both ''Fight Club'' and ''The Losers'' good actor indeed. 10:03 This sounds like what they did with Queen biopic it's a long film but there's not really anymore interaction scenes Freddie talking with his band mates/friends there's like 1 or 2 scenes at most from what I remember I do remember still enjoying the film dough despite my nitpick. 11:32 Ok I'll stop here bro and come back later after watching this film.
One of my favorite movies of the year, it even reminded me of movies like Raging Bull. The story was so good that it could've been directed by Scorsese in the 80s
The Kevin vs Flair DQ finish was booked that way to show him taking his anger and frustration out on Flair in kayfabe. The stuff backstage with Fritz and Kerry is added drama for the movie. In reality they all probably talked about how hot the crowd was for it.
Great review I Matt check out The Iron Claw Cause there’s a lot of Sports Films I Love like He Got Game, We Are Marshall, Longest Yard 2005, Goon, The Replacements, Hardball, & Coach Carter those are Solid Sports Films ❤
I saw this movie to spite WB for Aquaman 2 when they were ok to keep Amber Turd in the film. Great Movie btw. The real life tragedy was even worse in real life and the film was already tragic and horrifying as is.
I think he was supposed to win the match against Rick but lost it and got disqualified. I take it Rick would have been mad about the botched match but the fans were eating it up and Rick saw it as great for their image so he came back in the locker room and was like "that was great" and said something along the lines of "I'd give you a rematch on the title anyway. Go out for a drink?" So I think Rick didn't mind the botch and thought he did it for show. Idk just my take.
Very good movie. Yes there were many historical inaccuracies (what biopic doesn’t?). But the only major issue I had with it was the idiot playing Ric Flair! He came as a dollar tree version of the nature boy!
I have an idea for a paid request I have for you in the future if you are interested? It's called how would you change Leonardo's story arc in the 2007 TMNT movie.
