I was 16 years old on a summer evening with my cousin Randy listening to this song frying on acid! Well we listened to the whole tape! Still Life was tripping hard too!
Wow, they are awesome and very hot! I love that they stay true to the original song and don't hack it up like so many others do! I wonder what Iron Maiden thinks of them! They're probably really impressed, the Maidens sound so damn good, and again, they're hot!!
This makes me wonder if all the Dad's out there that sponsored and paid for the daughters mandatory guitar lessons would ever believe they caused this. Thank you Dad's who did! This is simply incredible......Amen
Thanks to all those dads. I got my boy a fender strat and a peavey amp with a 12 inch speaker. E drive distortion i dont know all that stuff...And he's super awesome ......at x box.
Great Iron Maiden song and a great tribute performance of it by The Iron Maidens. Listening to the guitars by Nita Strauss and Courtney Cox, without the video I would have thought Dave Murray and Adrian Smith were the guitarists. Bassist Wanda Ortiz was also wearing the same style pants Steve Harris wore most of the time on stage. :)
They're fine everyone. DJChrisMexico maybe had to alter the audio and the video itself to avoid copyright strikes. If you think they suck, then go try and see them live. Just saying :/
The singer must have listened to the Life after death album a thousend times - she does the same intro as Bruce (Revelations this one) but the base babe wearing the same black and white spandex jeans as Steve Harris back in the days is the best!
I listened to Piece Of Mind every day in late 1983 as often as Lick It Up by KISS. I love Revelation better than The Trooper because it shows what Iron Maiden is better.
i just find this so exciting to watch. something about a bunch of hot ladies playing this stuff is just amazing. so great to see and it is very sexy to see ladies doing this. they are such good musicians.
It's very cool to see this type of cover band. They really stay true to the original material all the way down to the babble by bruce from the live after death version of revelations. Sometimes it's laughable when cover bands go so outside the box that you can't even tell which song they are covering. The Singer really made the performance for me. She basically is the female counterpart of Thee Bruce Dickinson(😉). She emulated him very well and has a good voice. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening regardless of some of the timing issues mentioned. This is actually a tough song to get right. Even Iron Maiden occasionally will have slight issues with the song live. It's live music warts and all. Things do not need to be bubblegum perfect with a critically overproduced pop sheen to everything. Mistakes here and there just make it more intimate, human, and relatable in a certain sense. The singer really nails it here. The bass player has tough shoes to fill considering Steve's bass holds the band together and is such a big part of the sound along with the drummer too. so maybe thats where some of the timing lagged behind a lil at times. Also I thought the blonde guitarist was solid and held down the harmonizing guitar parts. The brunette was very cute and also had skills although she may have been slightly off at times too. I dont really care about any of that it was just plain observation. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The band is very solid on other songs in different videos too which shows revelations is just a tough nut to crack. They did a good job.
You can never get this Kind of Live Energy recording in a studio. I djyed for live bands. To follow a great act is nerve racking or spinning in between bands.
