The Island Lamb Episode 36: Happy Spring & Joyful Knits

Thank you for joining me for another episode of The Island Lamb. We had a bittersweet winter. The sweet included a lovely vacation in the US Virgin Islands. We enjoyed beautiful rainbows, gorgeous weather and the company of our dear friends. My mom and sister-in-law joined us on Block Island for Easter and we all had a wonderful time together baking, dying eggs, cooking and laughing. I had a wonderful surprise from Carolyn of the WoollyNeedle in my Ravelry account. Carolyn gave me the Artus Shawl pattern designed by Natasha Hornsby. Wow, random acts of kindness are real!!! The bitter happened in February when my beloved and beautiful Uncle Kenny passed away. I have included a photo tribute of Uncle Kenny at the end of this podcast.
I'm wearing the Chauncey Pullover designed by Isabelle Kramer, I knit it in Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed.
On the mannequin is the Fern Pullover designed by Knitting for Olive.
The sweet little bunny is a Claire Garland design. I review the pattern in Episode 20.

Diane, sorry about your uncle. My elderly mother also passed away a few weeks ago. It was her time and I was able to be with her during her final days. A real blessing. It’s always difficult to lose someone.

That was a wonderful tribute, your uncle would have been pleased I’m sure. I’m sorry for your loss. Life can definitely be bittersweet. Thank you for your latest podcast. I am knitting the Artus shawl at the moment, however I’m not overly enthused about the yarn so I look forward to seeing your choices. Hugs from Calgary. Our local patriarch aged 81 of our small coastal community in the SE of South Australia, lost his 13 year battle with prostate cancer and passed away yesterday. I have forgotten what island you live on?

@@theislandlamb Your Uncle was such a lovely happy man. Sad of his passing. Seems like he had a great close family bond/interaction. I hardly knew my paternal Uncle as he lived in another state nearly all of my life.
