The Isle Evrima - Looking For Prey - Update 7.5 - Troodon 

like I said, I struggled to have fun with troodon this time. it's the dino which probably needs a pack the most and there are barely others around but, I didn't meet many players in general. which is also tough to get footage. so, probably a mix of both

yeah, I seem to have a talent to find places where you can get stuck in the dome tho, I didn't want to call an admin. this was totally up to me. if you glitch somewhere through, then it's up to you the end was really sad. could have become a good battle

like I said a couple of times before, no need to hurry or even more sorry. I will welcome you anytime my troodon is named after a famous singer of your wonderful country you know who I mean with troocelli, right?

honestly, I was surprised how easy it is to cross the map. they are so fast even while trotting. so, that didn't bother me. but yeah, 75 minutes is too much for little ones. I really don't mind the longer grow time on bigger ones, but, the likes of dryo and troodon shouldn't be more than 30-45 minutes at max imo I also can't wait and your experience of the little waterfall in there sounds great

yeah, that's why I didn't call an admin this time. it was totally my fault. if you go out there like an explorer, then die out there like an explorer

Fair! lol. Its been a couple months since I've played the isle. I'm waiting for them to fix it up a bit more. I've had some really bad luck with bugs and safe logging to fix them leads to the dreaded queue. @@da.mombie

@@Enticing_Puddle there are still plenty of bugs, but, I am quite happy at the moment. this stuttering I had 4 months drove me crazy. so, I am just happy this is gone now

yeah, normally I don't speed up more than 5 seconds. it starts to hurt the eye if you insert a speed up scenes for much longer in my opinion. but, this time it was at the edge of being acceptable (in terms of hurting the brain) and even looked quite well

let's be real, the pounce never worked properly so far. some kind of bug was always around

I ain't no fan of the new cam system. at least of what I saw so far. but, that's it. we have no idea how it will look like and so I don't worry much by now. even more since I read some comments from the devs. first of all and most important, if it comes, then it will be optional. means, private server will have the chance to keep the old system. therefore, no need to worry at all they also said they have to adapt a lot of things incl. troodons view. which they also said (and I agree) is bad the way it is right now. so, in that regard it's a good thing that they try different things. because they also said they will only change the cam system, IF it will fit with everything. like crouching, climbing, for sauropods!!! as well as for tiny dinos. so, I welcome that they try different things and right now are way too many ifs to be worried. it may end as experiment which won't even make it in the game, but, could bring some additional options to the specific view of some dinos. like troodon in tall grass

@@da.mombie I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound bitter, I had just came from waiting my full health cerato die of starvation bc it got stuck, and then I saw you falling out the map, and commented that. Let's hope the camera isn't a bad thing bc I like the game :)

@@keynadaby no worry mate, all of us are frustrated at times and you haven't been rude or anything. so, all good just a quick tip, try to reach out to the admins on their discord, if you are stuck again. I love that sound. I don't like to put sound effects and memes all over me videos. there are plenty of those out there anyway, but, a little pop every now and then, is quite funny imo jeez, you have to be really low on skills if you die to a boar but I agree, to have a proper fight you need a group and in best case with some experienced players. which is mission impossible right now. other than you are really lucky and run into a bunch of discord friends who play troodon that day.

​@@da.mombie Yeah, I don't mind the sound fx, it's just the timing for that was a perfect setup: you running away from the dilo, it is faster than you and will get you in 1-2 bites, you running in a straight line and in an open area instead of using dilo's poor turn radius against it, and then taking the camera off it. In my mind I was already estimating it being on your tail and about to snap its jaws. And then there is that loud POP! xD

thx ♥ but, don't worry about the new cam system. I read some dev comments recently and there is no reason to worry. first of all, it will be optional. so, private server will have the chance to keep the actual cam system. therefore, whatever will happen, we will have the chance to play like ever, IF it's going to be bad. the new cam can also be a good thing tho. they said troodon has a bad view in tall grass with the actual cam system. which is true. so, the new cam system will be designed to make that better, not worse. so, we have to see how it will look like. it might become much better. if not (what I doubt), well, then we still have the private server backup

@da.mombie I like your optimism and I hope you're right. My 2 favorite dinos, Herrera and Deino, won't be that affected at least. I just like seeing my dinos, both the color and animations.

@@Garian9 in general, there is one thing I've learned about that game. the meal isn't served as hot as the community thinks it's cooking. many people love to rage and let's be real, many content creators love to jump on that train, too. bashing dondi? you will get likes dondi might have some special views which not many of us share and he might not be the best when it comes to communication, but, other than everyone wants to tell me for years now, they listen to the community. they really do. the problem is, the community itself is very split about many topics. just look at the stam thing. 50% hate the new stam and 50% (incl. myself) love it. so, whatever decision they had made about it, 50% will bash them for it. I don't say they are perfect or dondi is the loveliest human being. but, this community isn't easy to handle as well there is a reason why I am so relaxed about it and why you should be too. they said, every huge change (like that cam might be, but even humans later on) will be optional. so, every private server has the chance to keep the old cam. will have the option to disable humans and so on. I am pretty sure we will have many servers in the end and the chance to chose the style which fits us best

als youtuber hat man den vorteil, dass sowas immer gutes material ist. also, mir ist es auch egal wenn ich mit einem stego aus dem spiel rutsche ja, die migration funktioniert noch gar nicht. zumindest wissen das auch die devs und somit gibts noch hoffnung auf besserung momentan ist es echt schade wie wenig die karte nutzen und stattdessen an der selben stelle bleiben als wären sie festgeklebt

@@da.mombie zum Zuschauen ist es auch von Vorteil 😁👍 ja die alte Karte wurde ja auch leider bei weitem nicht ausgenutzt, aber zumindest konnte man sich weitläufiger bewegen und ist dabei immer wieder auf andere Spieler (und AI) getroffen. Auf der jetzigen Karte bin ich oft schon viele Stunden alleine umhergezogen, da ist es wirklich schade, dass die Spieler hauptsächlich an ein paar wenigen Orten verbleiben (zum Teil ja auch notgedrungen, wenn man beispielsweise einen Carni spielt). Wie du schon sagtest: Hoffen wir auf Besserung 😁

@@jaylujay ehrlich gesagt, je besser ich die karte kennenlerne umso mehr hab ich das gefühl die ist gar nicht viel größer als spiro. ja, es gibt orte die völlig verlassen sind. aber das hatte spiro auch. das gebiet im nordosten, östlich vom east river ende war rießig und null besiedelt. ebenso war der nordwesten, nördlich vom wasserfall hotspot rießig und nie jemand dort. ich hab da mal ziegen gesucht und mich in dem wald zwischendurch komplett verirrt und wäre beinahe die steilküste runter. auch der wald südlich vom ehemaligen see (oasis) war unglaublich groß und zog sich in gähnender leere bis südlich vom sumpf. der unterschied ist halt, wir kannten spiro und alle wege von hotspot zu hotspot. haben die wenig besiedelten gebiete (wie west und ost zum wachsen genutzt, aber waren in manchen teilen überhaupt nie. wenn dann einmal zum erkunden. aber sonst nie wieder. mittlerweile komm ich auch auf gateway von hotspot zu hotspot ziemlich schnell. ich habe das gefühl man braucht nicht länger von den south plains zum northeast lake als man auf spiro vom sumpf zum nordwest wasserfall gebraucht hat. irgendwie kleben jedoch die leute auf gateway viel mehr auf einem platz. wobei ich hatte auch auf spiro tage wo 60% beim nordwest wasserfall, zuvor beim see und ganz zuvor beim south pond klebten. dennoch, auf gateway scheinen sie öfter zu kleben

@@da.mombie ja, da hast vollkommen recht mit der Besiedlung der Spiro-Karte. Auf mich wirkt die neue Karte immer noch riesig, aber ich spiele auch nicht so viel und verlaufe mich ständig 😂 und das wäre bei Spiro in der großen einsamen Waldfläche nordöstlich ebenso gewesen 😁. Die neue Karte bringt auf jeden Fall mehr Abwechslung mit sich und ich denke manchmal ist man länger unterwegs, weil das Terrain beispielsweise für ein Stego anspruchsvoller ist und man oft größere Umwege laufen muss - zumindest geht es mir so und vllt ebenfalls aus mangelnder Kartenkenntnis heraus 🙃 Auf jeden Fall hoffe ich, dass sehr bald pro Server die Spieleranzahl stark erhöht wird, das würde auch schon einiges in Wallung bringen denke ich (habe ich aber bei Spiro auch schon so empfunden).

​@@jaylujay anfangs dachte ich von a nach b dauert ewig, weil da kommt man nicht rauf und dort muss man rund herum. aber es gibt zwischen allen großen plätzen kurze wege. man muss nur wissen wo. spiro war einfacher. es war flach und man konnte (abgesehen vom dry river canyon) überall hin ohne irgendwo rundherum zu müssen. aber du wirst sehen, je vertrauter du mit der karte wirst, umso kleiner wird sie ja, wenn es nach mir geht hätte ich gerne 500 spieler auf der karte. noch lieber 1000. aber, das wird es nie spielen. vielleicht mal 200, aber viel mehr traue ich ihnen in punkto server management nicht zu

@@APeacefulPara I am a science guy. dinos? were real, so I like them. aliens? are very likely (even if we'll probably never meet them), so, I also like them. dragons and humans with magic spells? far from any reality, so, not my thing. same for horror movies. zombies? ghosts? don't scare me at all. movies like saw tho, where a human just goes totally crazy and tortures others, that's scary. there is a tiny chance that this could happen in real life and that's frightening. a ghost on the other hand, will never be my problem in real life
