My adult kids took me to hear the Isley Bros in concert 4 days ago. Their father and I listened to all the Isley songs during the 37 years we were together. For the Love of You was our song. We divorced a few years ago, and he died last year. Even though we divorced, hearing those songs brought back so many wonderful memories of our life together.

The vocals, the melody, the frequency is timeless. Why is music like this not made anymore.? Today's music is nothing compacted to 70s music. Absolutely beautifully crafted. ✨✨✨

Married in 1973. Our first electronic was a stereo record player with 2 speakers. Played this album by the Isleys and their other albums. Their beautiful ballards helped our relationship through torrid times in the 70’s. It takes us back to the times when our love was young and how far we have come. It's 3:30a.m. My sons & I buried my First & only true love. We married after I turned 18. My B-day was July 18, 1975. He passed away on his B-day Mon. Feb 10, 2020. He was born 2/10. We had good times & bad times. God knows I would do anything to have the bad times as well as the good times. We had a love neither of our families understood. We married, we parted, we divorced. We remained the best of friends. I guess because we were friends, then lovers, then Husband & Wife. Apart we looked out for each other all the time. Not because we had sons together WE JUST LOVED EACH OTHER, in our own special way. I love u, Cash, forever. This was one of our songs. Show ur love to those u love, while telling them. Old,and didn't realize how much this song would play a part in my adult life.45 yrs.later I still get a little teary eyed listening and remembering all the people that graced my life!! Ron Isley voice is so smooth and hypnotic,and hooks you from the first verse!!this is the"Royal Family of soul music"!! I guarantee that you can't find a group that is responsible for millions of babies born all over the world!!! And this is the song that was playing when I got my first taste of being in love! I was born in 95 & I’m still new to Isley brothers but I’m glad I was able to discover this piece of musical gold. My generation couldn’t understand how real this is.

I wasn’t born til ‘85 but my mom played this old soul and lots of funk music when I was growing up. She pointed out particularly when I was a teenager and started listening to hip hop music how many songs sampled the beats! 😅 She just passed away in September at 68 years old from heart disease, but I am very grateful that she showed me this beautiful music 😊
