The Jackall Flickshake Is Killer! Underrated Finesse Rig?!

What's up guys, today, we are talking about one of my favorite finesse tactics and that is flickshaking with the Jackall Flickshake rig. This rig was originated in Japan and made its way here to the states over a decade ago. The rig consists of a small jig head and wacky rigging a finesse worm. Very similair to a normal wacky rigged senko, flick shaking entices bass with a very subtle fall and fluttering action due to the jig head of the bait. Is this rig underrated in the finesse side of bass fishing?

You can catch west coast saltwater bass with this technique too. I use browns/reds and razorclam colors. Super fun on light spinning gear.

Love me some Flick Shake-My favorite way to fish wacky style. I use a Baitcasting Med/Light rod, 12lb Fluro. Those JackallJapanese bait vids are like watching a video game, lol

This year I used the flick shake on a baitcaster as a topwaterish bait. It slayed. Cast out over lily pads weightless and held on!!! Bass see so many senkos switching to flick shake is like a new dessert they wanna try🤣🤣🤣. Never seen anyone where I lived in Texas or where I live now in Washington State use them

Has anyone tried the flick shake worm on a shakey head? Obviously it's primary and intended purpose is with a wacky jig head. I'm just curious about the versatility of techniques with the flick shake? Big Jackall fan, own most of their hardbaits and the archelon is one of my top flipping baits and punching baits! Cool video too and good content from the channel! TIA

I don't want to spend $8 for 3 jig heads that are the wrong size for the 5.8 Flick Shake worms. What is the best all around size for the 5.8. You said that you have to use the right size or the worm falls too fast. Is the 3.32 ok with 5.8 or should I go with the 1/16?

lmao, I feel you. no one throws flick shake on my lake. the good thing about wisconsin small lakes is everyone throws the same thing because they're mostly old timers. it's a combination of a few things: mepp agilia/panther martins, the original floating rapala, Johnson silver minnows with a single tail grub, or little cleos. also, crawlers, leeches, and golden shiners. I got my dad on a the rat'ltrap and he thinks it's a secret 🤣🤣

Could you do it using casting gear? What rod reel setup would you suggest?

You definitely can for sure. Just use a M-ML rod, 7’, with a smaller 50-100 size reel and using 6-10lb flouro
