Wylie Draper was the PERFECT choice to play Michael Jackson. Everyone is well aware that Kipp Lennon did the singing, but Draper nailed how Michael speaks and dances that ANYONE would swear they were watching Michael. He BECAME MJ. Rest In Peace, both Wylie and Michael.
It was quite unsettling for me at first because the question kept popping through my mind the whole time ' Is this Michael or isn't it?". I just couldn't understand how anyone could get the moves and mannerism so right.
This brings back GREAT memories. I remember watching this with my grandma on vhs tapes over and over. She used to think it was the real Micheal Jackson, that’s how good Wylie’s acting was. I miss you KeKe ❤️
People fail to realize as usual how incredibly close Michael & Jermaine were and its incredibly hard on him too chosing to stay with Motown. People just have so much hate on Jermaine it's ridiculous smh
The only thing that bugged me about this part of the movie,was that Tito was actually on Michael's left for about a year after Jermaine had left. Randy was on Marlon's right playing the congas. In 1976,they swapped sides,and have been like that until Jermaine returned to his brothers. Still a good and classic movie.
Jermaine was a producer on this movie so was Susanne , so I wonder why they didn't do it in the movie.. maybe didn't think it was important.. I heard Michael also had a say in this movie..
The years threw me off to. They had Michael recording human nature in 1983 when thriller was released in 82. Also when rehearsing dancing machine they were having talks about leaving Motown in 1976 even though they left a year earlier
@@banditman1986 yep the actor Bumper Robinson who played Jackie said that same exact thing in the Netflix interview I just watched of him he talked about this movie I always wondered why that boy looked so much like Jermaine I know why now .
Joe made th3 best decision to leave Motown...they still seen them as little kids...they let Stevie Wonder and Marvin create more music than before but said no to the Jacksons. Joe had enough of Barry.
I was even crying like a child when I saw Michael sadly n lonely n too much depressed walking on thr beach and was crying. Right then n there i was crying. I was crying so badly cuz' once i can relate this problem to me also. Also like Mike, i was very depressed n lonely like no body ever had. Once I had taken my life, and ended in a hospital, but i hate life.

He looks and sounds so much like him. The only thing that can top this portrayal is blood itself. We will watch Jafaar Jackson BECOME his uncle Michael.

Wylie was hands down the best choice to play Michael!!! If I’m not mistaken Michael chose him (I could be wrong) that’s really saying a lot!! Also shout out to Kip Lennon doing the singing!!
