0:40 right here was the moment I lost my sh** knowing that the details were extremely well done,the prototype being seen through the glass,the fight,the jaegers, better than uprising 100%.

I absolutely love the model of ‘the prototype’ and the way gipsy danger ran up to it was amazing I rate it 10/10!

10x better then pacific rim uprisings movement you can feel the weight of the attacks of both mechs if they went for this speed I think the movie would have less criticism other than the corny lines and nonstop property damage. Edit:Since most of you are complaining, Let me rephrase sure the money tag was high but the movement speed was fast yes I did enjoy most of the movie but for mechs that weight 20,000-30,000 tons it’s fast sure Striker Eureka was fast but he slowly started to a accelerate but somehow Gipsy Avenger can sprint across ice reaching max speed in about 5 seconds and if you are still reading this and not complaining rn, I have seen some good scenes with the speed just as the droid jumping and crushing Titan redeemer it was good enough and when Titan Redeemer’s pilots die his arm slowly moves down its neat but Saber Athena quite literally slashed through buildings so did all the pilots in the final battle causing 100 millions of damages in property damage. And if you don’t like my criticism you can watch other videos on RU-vid instead of trying to start a useless argument bellow a RU-vid comment section.

My favorite part is the helicopter pilot who decoyed the prototype. For a second I was like "Oh great not the suicidal-stupid pilot trope again, why are you so goddamn close!" and then realized that they were deliberately getting its attention away from GD.

Makes sense for the prototype to fly a bit backward from each blow of gipsy's attack, since it doesnt looks extremely heavy and just skinny Overall, this is better than uprising

just a tiny theory: noticing how the prototype shoulder blade on the back only fell down when gipsy ripped the severed arm in half, before that happened it was still up. my theory is that the prototype could have that arm repair itself since it seemed to stay up before ripped it half but its just a theory

This is actually very cool and well done. The only thing I think you could improve on are the little pauses in time where both jaegers stop fighting for a moment.

Lotsa people saying this is better than the second movies mechs. Let’s be honest that’s not true. This has way more effort and thought put into it, it was made by someone who likes the franchise. The sound design is great, although since you’re obviously not on a budget of like a hundred million, you can’t do the vfx to the same quality. I will say, this *feels* so much better than any fight in Pacific Rim two, way more enjoyable, but ofc it’s stuttery and jolty
