nah you got it wrong, The Room is "so bad its good" while SL is just bad

Blizzard had to change the ending because if the Jailer blew his brains out it would have been too similar to Quintus in the subway station.

To be fair. This would legit be a better story than what blizzard gave everyone. That and could be done without needing to destroy years of lore. The Tommy Jailer just wanted more people to love each other, so the world would be a better place to live. Yet a greater evil threat came, wanting to destroy the peace and unity of the world. Using their servants to twist the truth, making Tommy Jailer look like the bad guy and making everyone think he hit Lisa. Slowly pushing Tommy Jailer back deeper and deeper into a corner, than one day no one believes him anymore, so he has no choice but to go down a dark path to battle this threat he knows is real. So he does the only thing he can do. Become the villain, trying to rewrite reality to keep everyone safe but in the end fails. Yet has the last laugh as finally with the last of their power, reveal proof that shows one and all the greater evil threat exists. Which with their dying breath, Tommy Jailer thinks about Lisa one last time and hopes the evil powers that be have not twisted or tainted her fair beauty or innocent mind, hoping she reminds safe from the corruption this great evil can spread. Which just before they close their eyes for one last time. They fear the suffering that is about to befall everyone. Wishing there was another way to avoid this suffering but it is to late. For having been cut off from all former friends and allies, turn into a villain by this greater evil and label as a outcast by all, they know all two well what suffering is really like.

To be fair, Tommy would be a better villain than the Jailer.
