Hi Shorn, thank you for painting Jamaica in a most beautiful manner. As with any where else there are ups and downs, good and bad. It's all about the narrative the presenter wants to portray. From the eyes of Shorn, Dee, Moya, Trudy from Africa, they truly are exposing Jamaica to the African Diaspora and the wider world. The exposure given, the Jamaica Tourist Board could never pay for this.
@Halfwaytreeclock Yeah, we've been famous for rastas, ganga, murder, and shacks. We are famous for what the white media wants the world to know about us. These UTers show the raw, natural beauty and friendliness of Jamaica and its people. This should not be taken for granted,it should be appreciated.
Am a construction worker from mandeville Manchester and if you come and see some homes here your jaws will drop no white people area in Jamaica you have your money you live were you want
You are a very smart lady, I am happy that you are showing this part of Jamaica too and not just Trench Town. You are a blessing for the tourism of Jamaica. Jamaica is a very beautiful Island with a lot of very educated and ambitious people.
I live in Jamaica and let me tell you, the beauty of Jamaica cannot be filmed nor photographed. You need to experience it in person. I am sure the beauty of Kenya is beyond what we see in videos and photos too. I want to see the beauty of Kenya and other stunning places in Africa too. I also love the way Africans treat their guests. It seems very similar to how we take care of our guest. I love how we are uniting with Africa too.
Black people Jamaica are very progressive there is a lot of Black Jamaican who have business in Jamaica the Caribbean and in America and England if Jamaican had the opportunity like Blacks in America Jamaica would be the only Black superpower
Shorn people who are rich are more on the private sidr...don't want strangers viewing their property. Appreciate the vlog... the view is beautiful 🎉❤🇯🇲
They try to make out that it’s either ‘gated’ or ‘ghetto’ and when they hear and see that there are beautiful homes all over Jamaica - owned by people living and working in Jamaica - they seem surprised!
I call you Empress it is the way most Jamaican greets our Queens, Shorn Arwa You're doing a fantastic job speaking up etc.for your Jamaican brother and sister much honour l am watching you from St Louis Missouri USA One Love One 💜
Shorn, It's nice to see how happy you are to be enjoying Jamaica. Just do your thing and don't show off like you have the means more than other Jamaicans. You have to always remember where you are coming from and when you did not have the means. Love your style.
There are plenty rich neighborhoods in Jamaica that will makes you marveled. Helsire hight in Portmore, Mandeville, Red Hills, Jack's Hill, Smoky vill, Beverly Hills Norbrook , Tower isles in Ocho Rios, Discovery Bay and the list goes on. Thank you Shorn, you and Dee are the best, showcasing my country
@@august9006 hey bumbohole, I'm very sure that what I've achieved and my credentials is what you dream of having, don't past yuh bloodclaat place boy or gyal
Gungo peas is pigeon peas in America. Lots of fruits and food plants in Jamaica. Not sure where you are because they’re lots of beautiful places like that in Jamaica and some places have even more beautiful houses
I like your vibrant personality Shorn🎉🎉😅and yes the Kenyans are known for their runners especially long distance and Jamaica is famous for their athletes too : remember Usain Bolt, Merlene Ottey and many more🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖
Natural beauty Shorn Arwa. Thanks for your prayers and also for showing us around Beverley Hills. Thanks mother Teresa and the gentleman for accompanying you. Blessings to you all.
Beautiful video. Where you are is not the real rich places. It's middle class to upper middle class. A couple of them are millionaires, but not the average. If you were in the millionaire areas, security probably would have pulled up to ask questions. They are constantly on the patrol.
Hi hope you had a safe flight On the day of your departure from Jamaica i notice that you were at the Pegasus again, did you spent another night there, it's so beautiful
Those are not abandoned homes. People might be at work. Those rich people have their helpers and Gardners. Some of the owners travel a lot. That looks like Beverly Hills to me.
Yes Shorn, I’m happy you are in love with ma beautiful country Jamaica 🇯🇲….yes Jamaica have a lot of riches and good loving people…thanks for showcasing my country 🇯🇲 the father land… Big up yourself and thanks for Dee to inspire you to come to Jamaica 🇯🇲 one love….watching from 🇨🇦
Thats the difference with the rich area, you hardly gonna see anyone come out and talk. But in the getto people are so friendly and willing to interact.
Loooove your contents Shorn. Thanks for highlighting some areas of our beautiful island , Jamaica land we love. Blessings to you and the entire team.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹👍👍🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
That was a really beautiful area that you went through, those homes are something else. They keep those dogs for security and protection. Beverly Hills is beautiful indeed
You have raised a great question in the beginning of your video . . .I hope you enjoyed your walk-through where the "rich" lives. Nice video Shorn Arwa. I am glad that you accepted Dee's invitation to enjoy Jamaica. I can see that you have had an experience of a life time. Shorn it will be nice if you can extend your visit to the other Caribbean islands. 🌺🌹🌺
Inspiring and educational!!...princess Arwa, the way You n empress Dee showcase n highlight the Beautiful Jamaica you guys should be lauded by the relevant authorities. You are True ambassadors!..your Blessings shall flow like a river!!
🇯🇲watching from the 🇬🇧Good vlog Shorn...lovely houses - money talks! Also nice to see Mother Theresa smiling and relaxed enjoying the moment. It looks as If that weekend away in Ochi did you all the world of good👏🏾👏🏾
There is alot of places like that in Jamaica just like south Africa the difference is mostly black live in nice parts alongside whites and mix there is no white area in Jamaica the difference is whites has old wealth from long times while blacks have new wealth
Beautiful video, peace, joy, love, and happiness to all. Don't make it seasonal, We should love all around. Sinful behavior is not a characteristic of God. Let us love full time, and love is patient. Extend love to even a stranger. We are all humans.
I love that you're highlighting these ares Shorn. But it would be so great if you could visit farming areas in Trelawny and other parushes abd see real Jamaica. ❤
Yes, it would be nice for her to visit the farming areas. Also there are farmers that do well for themselves and own nice homes, for example in the areas of south st, Elizabeth.
What are you saying Shorn, that people are not enjoying their homes. These are family homes, not because you don't see anyone, or idle people like in the hood/ghetto. The majority of homes like these, are owned and lived in by Jamaicans, mainly in manufacturing industries, importing, retail and wholesale businesses, few are international business executives, and non Jamaican expats, also a few are own by Jamaican entertainers, and sports personalities, and few are owned by upper class returning Jamaicans. Most neighbourhoods are clean in Jamaica. Mostly in central downtown Kingston, and a few other places are unorganized and dirty, which there is a process to clean up these dirty areas. Also this is not Beverly Hills, this is Cherry Gardens, Beverly Hills is in another area of Kingston. Kingston have many upper and middle class areas
Thank God For you! Whites and blacks live together...Jamaica is a mixed country with Asians, East Indians, Syrians, just to name a few...why is she walking around asking people if she can go in their house?! Does she do this in the rich parts of Kenya?! Very weird...just show the view and move on. After this she's going to be right back down in the ghetto!
Hi Shorn, much of the Western media know positive and beautiful things about Jamaica because most of the visitors/tourists to the island come from The West -The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom and other countries in Europe. However,'frequently because of racist mindsets (Jamaicans being predominantly black/of African descent), geo-political competition and other concerns some of the media are inclined to unfairly focus more frequently on the negative aspects on the island. Thanks to vloggers like you Dee and others, more persons are being exposed to the more positive sides of the country. Most of the homes in the affluent areas of Jamaica are owned by resident citizens who make their living in Jamaica These are the properties of senior government and political officials, senior civil servants professionals such as educators, doctors, lawyers engineers, architects, owners and CEOs and senior directors and managers of major industrial and commercial corporations, etc Joining these groups more recently are the island's more popular and internationally known and wealthy sports and entertainment personalities. Shorn, It may be interesting for you to know that Jamaica has its own officially named Beverly Hills It is one of the island's most affluent communities and home of the Prime Minister.
People live there! they are at work, children at school and running their businesses! You went int he middle of the day! And many Jamaicans build back home, but especially in Mandeville and St Elizabeth. Those Capital city areas are well lived in
I am happy you took the time to explore the more upscale side of our country the priminister is living up that side, also our sub ten king !! Asafa powel 🇯🇲 we live any where in the island 🇯🇲 so long as you have your money i am from portland and there are big nice houses there too !! I wish you could meet Asafa , and his beautiful wife , children

Enjoy Hope you get back to to your destination safely so that you can spend time with your son, your husband, your sister she is a beautiful sister she take very good care of your son. Don’t you ever forget that keep on loving her she’s very good help to you. I love you.💕 from your one of these days I’m gonna let you come to Barbados 🇧🇧 want to give you a good tour of Barbados
There are channels here on RU-vid where people go to strangers' houses and sometimes the rich people let them in. In fact I'm subscribed to one such channel. But that's America, and specific parts of America only for that matter
Hi Shorn that thing you put in your bag, we don't eat it, that is palm tree, not a fruit tree. Those houses and communities are all over Jamaica, many years ago you could clearly identify the rich different from the poor, these days it's not like that anymore. But persons might be living there, that's the difference with the ghetto compare to the schemes and residential communities. When you will always see people on the road in the ghetto, in these communities, people leave early for work, come come from work and lock in, even when they are on a day off from work, they lock in, I live in a scheme area and when I am home many times no one knows that I am home.
Hi Shorn, This comment posted after you left Jamaica. Today is 4/16/24. I should have sent you this comment while you were in The Trench Town. There is a RU-vidr by the Name of Tom his Wife name is Ms. Madge she's Jamaican and he's American. He does Road Travels on all the Beautiful homes in Kingston, and also St.Thomas and Portland. Perhaps on your next visit you could try and connect with him and ask to do a collaboration with him and his wife. His Channel Name is "Red Button Journal". You can check him out. And he Loves Driving. This way on your next visit you may get an opportunity to see more of Kingstons Elite Neighborhoods. Perhaps you can bring your Family with you next time also. They will be Loved just the same way we Love you. Bye for now❤❤
Thank-you for visiting my country Shorn, I saw that you had fun, I hope you go back soon, the three of yours together are amazing, I hope you guys do a Kenyan/England link up in the future, I think that would be awesome. Love you Shorn Arwa❤❤❤❤ from Canada 🇨🇦🔥🔥🇯🇲🇨🇦🇯🇲🇨🇦🙏 Blessings
You bring tears to my eyes when you’re leaving that was so sad but you can’t stay forever. You have a son family maybe one of these days you’ll go back again. Take care.
