@@aresxlopez they feel almost the same as my slip ons id say but if you can try them on before you get them then I’d recommend that. Sadly my local skateboard in Alabama doesn’t sell Nike Sb so I had to order them online. But with me growing my true size they don’t feel uncomfortable at all.
I can’t believe this. Every few months for the last few years I would check to see if they ever started making these again.. just a few days ago I went to Zumiez to buy this pair of Nike SB’s that look exactly like these, wore it a few times, and now I find out that they started making the OG zoom Janoskis again?! Had to purchase them again you know I had to 😭
I don’t know about other people but it’s not the tight fit I love about these it was the shape of the shoe the flick was amazing once broken in they fit good and these can go with literally any fit lol
@@kevincollins8620 i wore them and skated them and that was like 10 years ago man 😭 hunting for them is a lot of fun tbh, just recently copped the koston huaraches and the Koston air maxes, as well as the volt reflective lunar one shots and well as the adidas puig 1 and the blazer xt highs, but now that i got them i have to make a collection... can't bring myself to ruin them yfm
I think I read somewhere that this shoe has sold more units than any other skate shoe. Just googled it, not sure if that’s true but there’s been 1500 variations of this shoe!
@@DavidBluetileThey’re definitely a popular shoe. I like cupsoles mostly. But I have a few nike sb vulc shoes and I appreciate feeling low to the ground also. My thing is if I roll my ankle on a lower shoe and the sides stretch a bit instead of tipping over, I can draw a few circles with my foot and not have to end my session.
Yeah im not sure what happened over the years but my OG Deadstock pair from back in the day fit completely different. I cant even get my foot in the RM or the OG+. The toebox is so shallow. A shame really, i was hoping these would be sized like the originals.
I just wore a 10 year old pair of my camo and gum Janoski the other day excited for the upcoming Ishod to finally arrive to me. Janoski max wasnt fitting the vibe that morning. I have a few of those. Regret passing on Koston max.
Yeah I used to basically feel the same way. It’s the punk rocker skater dude in me. Now I know to just get the thing that works for me and not worry about what other people want or care about. Truth is tons of people are wearing every shoe and that’s what it takes to make good shoes. 🤷🏻♂️ I love that energy though. That’s how new things evolve! Boom
I thought I was the only one! I always associated Nike with dunks and other basketball like shoes, so these kind of just felt like their attempt to get ahead of Vans as vulcs were becoming popular again. They must have been the most popular shoe among non-skaters at my collage too and that always put me off. Now they're becoming retro I can see why people are excited about them though.
@@Jacorpes look up tukskin shoes that’s what the shoe reminds me off mixed in with boat style shoe, yea just couldn’t get into them. I went to try them on and passed. Copped the orange label sb blazers instead that just dropped.
Just got a pair of the ASICS Japan pros. The quality feels super good, stock insoles are nice and squishy. They fit perfect gonna skate them tomarrow and report back
@@DavidBluetile I remember a hack.. you fill a bag with water and stuff it into the shoe and you freeze them haha.. it works though.. or one of those shoe inserts that stretch it a bit..
@@jonathanarango4610 oh i tried that for sure. they crush the front of my foot. every time i wear janoskis i get blisters surrounding my foot. most shoes you might get them on the heel.... i had blisters every where. i dont have to love every shoe on the channel. i do get why people love them
Simple if you don't have wide feet this not your typical Nike sb. I skated Vulc for years and still do, someone gave me they're pair because his feet was hurting. It's best to know your width before buying any skate shoe, Never mind the look is it worth losing 95 bucks
Well, I bought some shannahhan shoes for myself but never got to the review. DC hasn’t been selling for us at all so I honestly haven’t been stocking them. I wanted to stock the shannahan but they kind of hold it hostage and say you have to carry other shoes to get them. They won’t let us just carry OG Lynx and shannahans and that’s really all I want. I do have some Ish shoes coming in but have considered canceling those as well but I hope they sell for his sake. What shoes are you most stoked on by them? And… do you buy shoes for retail or wait for them to go on sale? I’m just asking because that’s what we’re running into with dc… people are only buying them on clearance
@@DavidBluetile i have over 20 different ones of them but mostly like the Og Lynx and the Og Kalis which I paid full price for. the other ones on clearance like Kalis lite and vulc, Lynx zero and Lynx zero S but it's very hard to skate in these, you need to adapt to certain shoe styles, you surely know.
I was trying to build more do a DC following a few years ago and it just… didn’t take off. I haven’t written them off but def need to regroup and watch the finances. This year is less risk. Can’t do any favors for brands that typically don’t sell until they hit the clearance shelves. I’m always trying to figure out how to make it work. I feel like the more the channel grows the more leverage I’ll have to sell at least one dang size run of anything we post.
I have a flat foot that is size 11 in width and size 10 in length... this shoe is not that tight or slim. I feel like you really judged it without wearing it. It's very comfortable.
That shoe gave me the worst blisters of my life. It skated good weeks later but I’m too dang old to sacrifice my feet any more. I can actually barely get the new ones on my foot and when I do it feels like a tight rope across the top of my foot.
I can’t even get these on my feet without taking the insole out. If you have flat skinny feet I think maybe yon could say true to length? Haha I’m pretty sure I talk about sizing in the video
you and me both. I got early pairs of this shoe to review before it released years ago and it messed my feet up so bad. once it broke in it skated fine but holy shit no shoe has ever destroyed my feet more than the janoski. ill never do it again thats for sure! haha people love it though. you can't deny it. I hated the D3 as well.... The D3 and the Janoski are the most popular skate shoes of all time. so that shows what we know! Hah I can at least appreciate their place in skate shoe history now.
Absolutely true what you’re saying. I bought a pair when it came out because everyone had it. Hype. I’ve skatet it like 1 week and it got holes in it and became flimsy very quick. It didn’t hold the shape and the sole is just too thin. Can’t jump anything higher than a 3 stair. I never had the D3 ..not my time. But there are definitely good hype shoes like the accel slim or even the accel og. The slims are a better version of the Nike dunk.
@@DavidBluetile fair enough…do remember the emerica Herman 2 ? Did you like them. They where my favorite emerica together with the crass and heritic. Soletech had some good shoes
The way I see the current state of skate footwear is this - full price skate don’t work no more unless Asian hypebeasts take a hard on to it, the other side of the crowd who actually has to skate them shits and make them ,last buys whatever’s on special - most Ikely sole tech. So basically marketing is out the window due to cost of living. The sale sticker wins rn.
Absolutely, I buy my shoes full price but I don't know anybody else who does. My excuse is that I like buying Last Resorts from their latest drop, so I'm happy to give an independent company £80 and my mates at my local independent skateshop can take a decent cut of that and hopefully the shop will survive the cost of living crisis. If I couldn't afford that though I'd just buy one of the million pairs of Nike SB they have on sale.
For sure but that’s why you see those brands disappearing from shops and cutting tons of staff. DC just let almost all the riders go and a chunk of staff and Emerica just went through the same thing. If people refuse to pay retail for your shoes the brand suffers and goes away. Some of these endemic skate brands are in financial turmoil atm because skaters just will not pay what the shoe is worth.
Tow box is longer. The originals in my 11.5 size couldn’t have fit more perfectly. The remakes now are too wide / long in my 11.5 size they feel off. Tried the 11’s instead and could barely get my foot in. Overall…she ain’t what she used to be but I’m still glad she came back
