Hi guys, here's a walkthrough on the new models to be released January 2024! Electric guitars , Basses, Acoustic guitars and electronics! It's very informal guys! Just enjoy! All the best, Remy
I am sure these guitars and basses sound great but in terms of pure looks, aesthetics and hardware choices this has to be the saddest Ibanez release in a long time. Clearly, they aren't listening to the fanbase. Great and detailed video. Thanks
Imho it's been getting a little more disappointing each year. I actually wonder which audience Ibanez is trying to reach out to, apart from +50 year olds playing in coverbands
@@arendunravel even i am confused about the audience. I thought when they introduced AZ it would be for modern players but with every release they are going for a more dad rock vibes in terms of colours and releasing models without the dynamix...i mean the whole point of AZ was the dyna mix....its just my take. Hopefully mid season there is something better.
@tristenmoon8311 they mostly have extended range and metal focused pickups. So, it is concerned with a particular demographic and cant be properly used for multiple styles.
When I look at models from the previous 5-10 years, with beautiful maple tops (versions never available in Europe), my blood boils. People show them off on FB groups and are happy that they have such wonders. Especially RG.
Hi Remy! Happy new year, amigo 😜🙏 I love the classic Iceman, especially that gorgeous burst... But what's the difference from the 2024 models to the current ones that we see in the shops? Specs 'seem' the same, current ones are quite affordable and made in China, but perhaps there's something changed for 2024?
Hi Claude! The Iceman shown in this video is actually the one released last year! So they are the same specs ! I included them in this video because they were relatively new .. thanks for watching and all the best, Remy
I only wish Ibanez could make a new EW/EWC acoustic exotic series; these old acoustic from ibanez looked so amazing, and i never had the chance to try one..... Sadly it's soo rare to find brands who make exotic acoustics at an affordable price....
No Prestiges but also mostly boring finishes...a bit disappointed. I hope some better news at NAMM, hopefully with some new good looking Genesis, Prestiges and signatures...
Seems like ibanez these past few years have kinda lost touch with their buyers. I know they have those buyers that love to tune way down and are to lazy to figure out how to set up a locking trem system and that's fine, Ibanez offers an extreme amount of guitars for that group already. For those that love Ibanez for what they were in the late 80's early 90's shred etc... Lacking big time which was the largest group of buyers. They're kinda turning away us long term buyers that have been loyal Ibanez players for years even decades. Especially in the under a grand market. They have this incredible "genesis" line and they never really tapped into it much. Had they released more colors and more models at a grand, I think that would be their most successful "line" of guitars. They now only offer like two colors of the Rg550 and most stores are still backordered, that should say something. Had they run with the 565, 570 and 570dx and offer more of those cool colors from back in the day, they'd still be selling like crazy. This is why I've quit buying Ibanez guitars.. My last was the Genesis 570 in Jewel Blue. Since I purchased Jacksons (which have more choices is tops and colors.. I prefer Ibanez but.. getting turned off by what they've been doing lately. I don't think everyone wants all their trannsparent stain ibanez to be over burl either. To me burl just looks cheap like a lot of "knotted" wood. Had they done that red Premium over a quilted top and matte or glossy..with an Edge or even Edge zero 2 trem, I'd shell out the asking price in a heartbeat..and become a believer in Ibanez again. But another year of a hard pass on Ibanez. Which is sad, cause I've been buying them all the time between 1989-2018. Haven't bought one since
I just looked at their updated catalog. Why isn't anyone showing the 470PB in red eclipse burst, even though it's burl that is probably one of the best 400 series looking Rg's I've seen. Might have to get that one. Love that they're going back to the Edge zro2 and direct mounted pups. Wish they offered this in DX but i do like that color
Yawn, ibanez is losing it. I feel like they put all the time and effort into designing artist guitars that they're not gonna release (like tim henson 8 strings) and the stuff they put out is just new colors and body woods you've never heard of
