People says this sounds like 1975 but I don't get it, their difference is so obvious; yes I know some of the members helped Amber produced this but the thing they have in common is probably synthetic beats, which are common nowadays. I am just quite sad when people say that Amber's music sounds just like 1975, it's like saying her music doesn't have its own unique aesthetic features...
woah guys, it's almost as if some music sounds similar to other music as though when artists collaborate with/produce each other, musical themes and features may overlap fuckin chill
Lyrics: I'm the steel-boned and iron blooded creep I'm the tongue-flooded mouth and I cannot speak I'm the scars upon your knees I'm the scrapes allowing your skin to breathe I could be anything And it was so brief A kick in the teeth Oil and powdered lungs Because I know how to breathe And it was so brief I want more time for luck And then I go again Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh You're the movements in my sleep You are the words I couldn't keep I saw the fumes and watched them seep Into the wounds you bear to bleed I could lose everything And it was so brief A kick in the teeth Oil and powdered lungs Because I know how to breathe And it was so brief I want more time for luck And then I go again You love When I saw you(4x)
Haunting... in a good way. Oh my the ambiance, and that guitar. You could get lost in the song and would immediately be transferred back the second the song finishes.
❤❤❤ I’m still burned and my blood it creeps I'm the sun-flooded mouth and I can learn to speak I’m the scars upon your knees I’m the scrapes of iron your skin breathes I could be anything [Refrain:] And it was so brief And kicking the teeth All and out at once Because I know how to breathe And it was so brief I want more time for luck And then I go again You're the movements in my sleep You are the words I couldn't keep I'm short of fuse, and watch them seep Into the woods, you bare to bleed I could loose everything [Refrain] You love When I saw you You love When I saw you You love When I saw you You love When I saw you
pre-ordered this ep as soon as 'still' dropped and my god i cannot wait until it's in my itunes so i can replay it all day. FUCKING GORGEOUS SONICALLY AND SO BEAUTIFUL LYRICALLY. AMBER, MATTY, GEORGE- CONGRATS ON A BRILL EP! xoxo
This song grew on me. It made its way into my playlists and popped up every once in a while. Now it's a part of me. Other tunes by TJH are good but this one, I'm sorry: it's already mine.
Thank you #AppleMusic! I entered #Aquilo radio and this is one of the songs that played. Such great music. Way better than what's on the radio. Although I hear Australian radio, particularly #TripleJ (which is basically #NPRmusic in the US except 24/7) is pretty eclectic.
I just love this one but honestly does anyone know what is said at around 2:51? I mean I know its in reverse but I really want to know what is actually said!
So who are the actual band members of this band? Because the only names I can find tied to this band are George and Matty but apparently they only produced it?
From what I know, the only member of The Japanese House is called Abby. Matty and George are from the band The 1975 and helped produce a song with her (The Japanese House) hope this helped! :)
+GreenAndPurpleRadio It's just Amber Bain, met her the other week in Leeds, she did all of this music herself with help from Matty and George but live she is accompanied by a drummer and a bassist/synth player, the way she gets all the large, eclectic sounds is through effects, pedals and processing
The first song "Still" was promising, but these new are a little bit too fancy. A bit too much of... everything. Sometimes less means more :) but i subscribed and count on you guys!
For me, it's just a bit too 'The 1975 lite'. It's hard for it to feel genuine when it's as if they've just got a different vocalist to sing 1975 tracks. I'd rather listen to the people who came up with this sound.
