The JDC Mixer was mixed and produced in San Pedro Southern California USA dba JDC Records a record distributor during the golden years of HighEnergy (Hi-NRG) dance music 1976-1990. It was owned by Jim and Dale Callon the company name came from their initials, (JDC). They were known for their "JDC MIXERS" mixed by popular DJs such as DJ Pebo would take records from the catalog lineup and create great non-stop HighEnergy (Hi-NRG) dance mixes, Jim Callon worked closely on production with his UCLA classmate, Charles Lamont of Barking Dog Studios. This combination of owner producers made the Hi-NRG genre an epic one across the big disco thump floors which had an impact worldwide. Thank You Jim and Dale Callon (JDC), Charles Lamont @ (BDS), DJ PEBO and Rudy Benavides for making the HI-NRG genre a very well known one as many folks still live this movement even young kids of today's era say they listened and like it because its somehow integrated in their lives, let's hope it makes a comeback like other genres have done in the past and when this happens will you be ready? I love this mix, the DJs who mixed this popped out from outerspace , they used a very cool and challenging technique true Hi energy "best of the best" even for todays standard. I feel like they where ahead of their time , maybe they where time travelers from the planet Hi Energy. Smooth and the selection of songs compliment each other with the magical Rhythms that massage each other. Actually the whole JDC mixer collection is Awsome. Thanks for sharing
Actually, it was mixed using the reel to reel technique, and yes, still is awesome, mixed and edited by Juan Hielsher, a Mexican-American Dj who lives in L.A...he also mixed the Jdc Mixers 3 & 6
