I am retired and my Gladiator is the only vehicle I own. I am not on the road every day so I am happy with the Gladiator. If I was still working I would probably get something that gets better gas mileage.
I was hesitant when I traded my daily driver (Ridgeline) in for the gladiator. I love the gladiator for everything. Gas mileage is ok sitting about 19mpg but you should know that going in. I mean you are driving a brick with a bucket in the back. Outstanding all around vehicle.
Retired now so don’t drive everyday. Wouldn’t hesitate to daily drive it through. Didn’t buy it for mileage, still it gets 2mpg better than the Ram 1500 I traded for it. With the lower gears in the Gladiator I can’t detect much difference in acceleration compared to the Hemi Ram. The only thing I miss is the sweet sounding Hemi. The Gladiator is the perfect size truck for me, love it. Thanks for the video!
I went from the Tacoma to the Gladiator mainly for the looks. Like the setup of controls except those window controls. Fuel economy on mine is about where my Tacoma’s was. 17-18
I have a 2020 Gladiator Overland that I bought used with 5300 miles on it inFebruary 2021. It now has 44,000 miles and I drive it daily. I bought new tires back in December (it originally had BF Goodrich highway tread tires) and I put Falken Wildpeak AT3 tires - SAME SIZE AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. My around town mileage decreased slightly I get around 18 intown but in May I drove from Maine to Shanendoah National Park in Virginia and back. On that trip I averaged 26 mpg.
As I segue into retirement I don't drive it every day or for every trip. If it's going to be just me or me and one other person I take my 2door Tacoma. It's the slowest car I own, but the gas mileage is also just barely tolerable. So, I content myself with the knowledge that more power would also mean more gas! 😮
Love my Mo-chine. Like an appendage, which I've only had one other car I described that way (a '76 Capri 2.8- drove it decades ago, and it wasn't so pretty offroad.) I didn't mean for the truck to become the daily driver (I had a Hybrid for that) but when my kid needed a car, I relented. Now the Jeep has taken on that roll as well.... now everybody say awwww....
