Misty eyes watching this mini reunion, RIP to all the cast members who have passed on, "The Jeffersons" will continue to live on through the magic of TV and future generations will know about this great show.
Donny and Marie allowed their guests to talk, to really tell their story, wich we can't say about most other talkshow-hosts. These two were excellent hosts❤️
Amazing! "The Jeffersons" is my favorite, FAVORITE show of all time!!! I watch this show nightly. The entire cast was so talented, magical, and hilarious.
Wear. Is where is Helen at on the live production show there we are all talking about Tom and Helen and all all the guys that are on the stage there where's Helen at she's not there
OMG This was an amazing look back on an awesome groundbreaking show. Thanks for posting this high-quality throwback Dave. Have a deluxe apartment Thursday and stay dancing...📺💜💟👴🏾👩🏾🦳👩🏾👦🏼🧓🏻⬆️🗽🍰🥧
These guys really made me laugh I'm still in the middle of another marathon on Amazon prime video. Did you watch the live in front of a studio audience the jeffersons clip? There's a surprise appearance of one of the few remaining cast members reprising their same role 40 years later. Made me cry watching it.
@@otisroseboro5613 i loved it too. When Florence Johnston knocked on that door and it opened. When she stepped in and said miss Jefferson and everyone clapped I almost cried. She introduced herself as Florence Johnson instead of Johnston. Not sure how they made that mistake. Wondered if I was watching the jeffersons or the Johnsons. If you do a side by side comparison of the pilot episode of the series and the live in front of a studio audience, she walked and moved the exact same way side by side lining up. It's like she was in both at the same time 40 years apart.
@knightrcer imo Marla Gibbs appearance was the best part of that whole thing! Nobody else nailed it like she did. You really can't outdo Sherman, Isabel, Mike Evans, Roxie, Franklin etc.
I have to say that I LOVED watching the Jeffersons on Sundays after the NFL on CBS as it was well written and I wish that I could find the DVD Box Set!
George could still get down...😂😂😂 And they say he was very shy, and you can tell when he talks... But when he gets into character, it's on...😂😂😂 Loved this show... Most are gone now...😢😢😮😢😢
Sherman & Isabel and Carroll & Jean were true icons in their foles and as tv couples. They don't make em like that anymore. R.I.P to everyone in The Jeffersons and All In The Family.
Yeah me to i also grew up watching The Jeffersons with my dad that show was so very funny my favorite moment is when George and Florence go at it now that is hilarious to me😂
I grew up in the 80s and I used to watch The Jeffersons with my mom and dad and I still watch it now and then lately I've been watching it today I have a couple episodes downloaded on my tablet so I can just watch it anytime I want to they'll make shows like this anymore
That episode where George paid Ralph and Florence to pretend to be Tom and Helen was hilarious. Not only did The Jeffersons not receive a final episode to wrap things up. The same happened with Archie Bunker's Place.
I’m pissed off for the cast because you don’t have a long running show go on for 11 seasons and not give them a finale episode. I mean the last episode was so crazy inconclusive it’s like, damn where’s season 12? 😂
I loved this show and all of the cast members. This is the first time I've listened to them as a group in this kind of setting. Isabel seems to want a lot of attention...lol. I saw it in some other videos where she and Sherman were being interviewed. When Sherman said that Roxy was probably the most sane of them all, did you hear Isabel say, "Well, I wouldn't say that..." and Sherman backtracked and said, "Well, outside of Ms. Sanford." and then he bowed to her....lol
3:05- Isabel Sanford (1917-2004) confirmed to Marie Osmond that she was writing an autobiography- yet, as far as I know, it never got published! I wonder if she was able to finish it before her death or did her survivors decide not to allow it to be published? Sad that no sign of it has ever emerged. BTW, Eddie Albert (1906-2005) [Oliver Douglas on 'Green Acres'] and Katherine MacGregor(1925-2018)[Harriet Oleson 'Little House on the Prairie'] also claimed to be writing autobiographies in their twilight years yet those also never got completed/published. Too bad. Marla Gibbs (born 1931) is the only survivor of those cast members. I hope SHE gets an autobiography written/published!
I actually reached out to her manager Brad Lemack a few years after her death. He said that it was up to her family if the book would be released. So not sure how much of the book was completed before hand. But that was what he said at the time. Now fast forward to last year, her son Sanford said that he is working on a book about his mother. He said it should be done soon. So maybe this year.
@@TriceO WHOA! That's amazing! Maybe we'll see something like the bio by Jack Benny's daughter which included selections of his own incomplete autobio! Thanks so MUCH for responding to this and in telling me this news! Even an account from her son alone would be interesting in that she evidently decided when her marriage was over to go after her dream of being a Hollywood actress and took her teen kids with her by bus from NYC to LA and he'd have an interesting perspective about what it might have meant to him and his sibs leave their home to see if their mother's dream would pan out against the odds! Thanks again for this!
Yes, I read that her son was writing a book about her. This was last year when he made the announcement. Hopefully, it will be available by the end of this year. I can’t wait to read it.
Love the cast but an amazing story that Ralph character got recognized in Africa. At a airport near Nigeria.. but people know you by your voice and of course even when you get older you look still can remain the same to some degree..f people really study you I have noticed movie stars in AK celebrities and lot of times I don't even mean to bother them.. it just bluntly comes out like don't I know you from somewhere?!? next thing you know they say "N0.. I just look like them.. I'm told that a lot and you know they are the "Real deal.. I know a lot of big-time celebrities have done that and I think it's kind of embarrassing you give them the time of your day and they brush you away like your A nobody.. like you're bothering them. That's pathetic😮 it's people like Us that make them into who they are so I understand they want privacy and All.. but sometimes they should give people the chance to express their gratitude for being a celebrity and be appreciated of that .. anyways Rest in peace for the cast members that have passed And to Marla Gibbs hope she can keep on moving on up!.. You deserve it❤ Ok 4-25-20 23 P
