I wish he had this same energy in miami. I feel like when he versed lebron. It went downhill. I just dontnunderstsnd players with less skill get to stay in this league longer then Jeremy lin
@@unseenasian132 I remember that game. I remember watching it live as I was a Lebron fan...and the Heat definitely took it personally. They played physical and forced TOs on Lin. Still...What a LINSANE run.
not just the team, he lifted NYC. im born and raised in NYC in the 90s. played varsity in brooklyn and started going to games at the end of Ewing's career. then we kinda sucked, we had Alan Houston, Latrell Sprewell, Camby... but nothing was going on. Then when there were rumors we'd get Melo and Stat, I prayed it wasn't true. Cuz it would mean we would be stuck with his contract for at least 5-10 years... and Melo is NOT a ring-winning all star. let's be real, when has a PF ever won a championship on his own aside from Dirk/Duncan. and Melo is like a D Leaguer compared to Dirk/Duncan. after 10 years of that garbage ball, we finally got 2 weeks of Linsanity. the whole city lit up. sports bars didn't even really play knicks game anymore, but everyone had it on with the volume up. damn i missed that basketball energy in the city.
@@jfail00 Lol hater gonna hate. Give the guy a break with that usage rate and running the team after being nearly cut. And they were winning and he wasn't turning it over during crunch time. They just lost when Carmelo came back because he was a loser.
I was shocked to hear that several UC universities and Stanford rejected his application even though he was from California and was practically a straight-A student. Thank you Harvard for accepting him.
Yup, he won State Player Of The Year honors his last year of HS and none of the Pac-12 programs bothered to look his way (Stanford was his No. 1 choice too, literally right in his own backyard and they didn't even offer him a basketball scholarship). Lin was battling hardwired racist attitudes towards Asian athletes long before stepping foot into the NBA apparently...
freestylerandmc101 Bingo! Yahtzee! As soon as Houston wanted him that was enough. Knicks didn't match the offer sheet. I did hear rumors that Tyson Chandler said Lin couldn't run an offense and of course Melo is Melo lol.
freestylerandmc101 Oh yeah, Melo is one of my favorite players now and forever but he is not a winner. He's a great 2nd option. He will never be the man.
The D’Antoni system was working, the problem is that it wasn’t working for Carmelo and that’s who the Knicks org catered to at the end of the day. Had D’Antoni stayed, I believe he would’ve vouched to sign or match J.Lin’s contract.
The Knicks were fun to watch when Lin had command of the ball because he opened up the teams offense, as a good point does. But once Melo or Harden came into the picture, the team stagnated back to one or two man iso plays.
man...imagine Porzingas joining the ball movement on this team. mayb not championship team but we'd have more draft picks, cap space, excitement and definitely success...sigh what coulda been
McHale's gotta keep Harden happy. SAme problem with Carmelo in NY. Lin needs to go to a team that treats him like Nash or Paul. Guys a born leader just needs followers.
Lin got everyone around him better including himself during that streak. Thanks to Dolan for robbing NBA fans especially Knicks fans. When will NBA force this dude to sell the Knicks?
