I feel like it's not a good idea to give your opinion on the killer based off the ptb, considering they fixed a ton of gripes, such as: changing object collision,more speed in between dashes, and fixing the invulnerability on vaults. So it feels wrong to give a review based only on ptb gameplay

The no hitting through windows and pallets with power is supposedly getting fixed for live build and some better collision. Hopefully it actually works correctly Edit: Never mind his hitbox feels like a butter blight now. You skid off every other survivor

I like how he called Weskers best perk his worst one 😂. Don’t use the aura perk just to stop sabo plays. It can be used to find an easy next chase or find survivors hiding nearby for a quick save. I am however pissed that they nerfed it because of nurse.

Even though they suck for the algorithm, I really enjoy your essay videos. Your "lovingly ripping it apart to see why you adore all the flaws" style is honestly one of my favourite styles of those videos on the internet.

Seems weird to do these on the PTB versions of the killers rather than how they are on full release.

RE5 is one of my comfort games whenever I'm feeling down. It's not the BEST resident evil/survival horror game, but it's probably the best campaign that almost feels like a playable mercenaries mode campaign most of the time. It's got great gameplay and is super fun. Best villain, best main character, best sidekick. Love me some RE5 coop.

A few of the things you mentioned are getting fixed in the full release. Same with the hitboxes too so you don't smack into everything by a pixel

After playing wesker when he went live, I found him to be soo incredible. The way I play him is that I use my first dash at an angle and then use my second to meet up with a survivor who then gets grabbed. It doesn’t always work but it works more than it fails. I also don’t dash when I know the survivors has a huge escape route. I think wesker is an ambush killer and his large terror radius works perfectly for this guy. Nothing is more satisfying than slamming a survivor or throwing them into a wall. Now I have seen that the grabbing doesn’t work 100% because sometimes you will skid off the survivor but I’ve seen that as long as the survivor is in your LOS, then you will get them.

I’ve been playing wesker all day with distressing, agitation, colorophobia and unnerving presence and I don’t need any information or regressions because the idiots with their skill checks do it themselves Do this build if you wanna just have fun with wesker and still win

With the fixes to his kit, he seems more like a Demogorgon strapped with Blight-ie's Tighty Whities. Not bad, but limited in his ability, and that's okay for me. I'm content with his spot in DBD since he seems to have more of his own identity compared to, say, year 4's and 5's killers, that being more interactible with the Survivors and encouraging them to choose whether to stay in/out the loop other than simply *W* (COUGH Nemesis Trickster Artist Dredge).

Funny… this is dated as soon as he released the vid. He didn’t wait for wesker to be on live servers. They changed things and listed them for the live release. They have tried to fix things and needed to be observed after about a week. Now I haven’t played him yet, but he looks great

These videos always make my day. To be fair RE5 Wesker was a strange version of Wesker. He went from a narcissist who was just out for himself to randomly wanting to destroy the world. It was odd. He was an entirely different character to serve the needs of being the big bad. Now DBD has to translate this strange version of the character to the game because he’s the only version that fits.

"Wesker bad" didn't age all that well XD This might just be me, but he's been my strongest killer since release and also the most fun to play. Still a fun video, even if I disagree :P

As a Whesker main, I think he’s really good. Most of the time I win my matches and his “worst perk” is really good when paired with Huntress’s lullaby. It’s hard to say he’s bad when you don’t main him, cause he’s really not bad

Awaken awareness isn't just for countering sabotage hooks its like a Myers's scratched mirror when you pick up a survivor and as long as you hold the survivor so here's a list uses I could think of 1. basement builds 2. That rapid punching nemesis build 3. Good for stealthy builds 4.When that Scourge hook is barely out of reach so you get arua readings all the way to the scourge hook 5. It combines excellent with starstruck, BBQ, thrilling tremors Starstruck because you track down a survivor effected a bit easier BBQ because you get a one two punch on arua readings when you hook a survivor bonus if the survivor tries to counter BBQ by rushing towards you then triggering awaken awareness. Thriller tremors because you get gen blocking, gen information, and aura reading for one pick up and if you really want to be that guy you put that survivor whenever you want to slug them and bonus you get the benefits of both perks (assuming they active) when you get a DS so yes they DS but now you got gen control and a vague idea on where the survivor are at. TL:DR saying that awaken awareness is only good for stopping sabotages, flashlight saves is very short sighted because this perk has potential especially when combined with other perks.

PTB Wesker was actually kinda strong imo, and he’ll be even better assuming the live fixes work as intended.

Rowby: Wesker is maybe bad. *Ends up being one of the best Killers in the game, with the highest pickrate by far, and arguably the most fun on either side* (if the player doesn't play scummy, but that's for every Killer). Nah but really, Alien is coming out soon (although the Xeno seems pretty easy to bully into next year by SWF that can set up turrets to turn the Xeno into an M1 Killer for most of the match, similar to Singularity in a way) but he's been by _far_ the best Killer we've gotten in the last year. Powerful but not broken, a tiny bit of built-in slowdown but not too much, counterplay on both sides is more reliant on skill and mindgame than some item or luck. Enough speed to patrol effectively but not enough to be able to effortlessly pressure the whole map, and especially _designed for chases and not designed for 3-gen defense_ which is one of the best part. Easy to pick up and use but has high skill ceiling. I've heard some content creators saying that Wesker is arguably the pinnacle of Killer design XD

The seven minutes line in RE5 wasn't arbitrary, it relates to his need to take a consistent and specifically measured dosage of the PG67A/W serum. RE5 was also my first RE game and I've probably replayed it more than any other game.

Now that they reduced his hitbox size, if you dash and they move slightly to the side you just miss them completely. From one extreme of carrying a refrigerator around on your back to the other of merely brushing the dust off of survivors' backs, and not to mention a lot of his ptb bugs are still present!

Honestly I’ve played like eight games so far today and Wesker is great to play and play against. Definitely my favorite killer in dbd so far.

7 minutes is all I have to play with you is a reference from resident evil 5 when he fights Chris the fact that they Incorporated Wesker and The entity and added on to it with the lore of how he came 2dbd is actually pretty amazing I will say the hitboxes need to be fixed for both survivor and Wesker but he's basically a nurse and or polite without the majors penalty at the end of the dashes

Oddly enough I have made use of Heightened awareness. Take start struck, mad grip, iron grip with heightened awareness and you have what could be one shot capable.

Resi 5 is my favourite in the series. I originally started playing DnD because Nemesis came out and with Wesker being one of my all time favourite villains it’s safe to say I’ll be playing a whole lot more

I started playing this game about a week and 2 days ago and I got Wesker a week ago because he was one of the first bosses I fought in my childhood that gave me a challenge.

The one thing that makes me sad about Wesker, they didn't have his final boss look from 5 as a cosmetic. With him being shirtless and having an arm covered in oroboros and shrapnel.

Idk why your doggin on Albert wesker in dbd. I think he’s the coolest killer so far and he’s actually really insane. Almost S tier after his buff. 7 minutes actually makes a lot of sense because 7 minutes is how long a game usually lasts. This chapter is actually really cool. There are a few nerfs to tunneling. This killer is very unique I think and looks really fun to play. They are adding 2 perks that are actually really interesting. Wire trap and the perk that increases the time someone can be in struggle phase. Albert weskers end game perk is pretty cool too. I like this chapter a lot and it’s the first killer that I’ve waited for. Also the 33% discount to the bloodweb is very good to upgrade wesker faster and the new survivors.

Wesker is a very situational killer like you need to bring great addons for him to be actually useful and hope you're in an open map with little good looping spots. His charge up and cool down to attack for his bound is too long imo so you spend more time waiting on yourself to attack than anything else. Idk if it's just me but unless you get a really open map then his bound attack is useless since there's always a corner to go around say like The Game map.

One bonus to his slam is other survivors are considered walls and will be injured if you slam or throw a survivor into them

Question. Does he block the exit if you get grabbed. I was a healthy survivor taking a hit for my teammate, he grabbed me and we landed on my teammate as if he were a wall. Then after being let go there was a barrier on the escape

A third RE chapter would be 1: hilarious and 2: a tightrope walk of expectations that I don't think they'd be acrobatic enough to not fuck up. They have classic RE with Nemi, they have meme RE with Wesker, and now they have modern RE, where they have to pick a hillbilly with a shovel (oh god not again) or vampire mommy, and I'm not actually sure which one's a more enticing choice for them. Both have pretty substantial demand, potential, and memeability, but if they get one then people are gonna want the other- especially if the one we get isn't Alcina. Neither of them have very cool gamer moments to translate into abilities, and are more about the presence and world than their actual individual power, so BHVR could probably just drop whatever meta bomb they want on the canvas and see how many people get mad over it. Also don't say "RE already got twice as many chapters as every other license they'd never do a third" Capcom is a gaming company and DBD numbers spike whenever Resident Evil gets another shot of love, and with the recent round of remakes (and the relatively recent movie at the time of writing this) I'd say it's entirely possible. btw Wesker's cool as fuck but he's very much a "oops I applied too much pressure and now everyone's dead with 4 gens done and Yui's idling in the basement locker" or "oops I missed 3 dashes and now they're teabagging at the exit gates"

The knife actually does make sense, because it's the exact knife he uses in Mercenaries mode.
