Honestly it was a complete miss to not add an interaction with Dracula mori and Alucard. His whole character is just senseless emotionally driven revenge, and as far as I am aware all the time he loses is because he simply can't get himself to get rid of his wife's last gift, their son. WHICH IS WHY I AM STUPIDLY SAD ON HOW HE DOESNT SHOW ANY KIND OF MERCY, EVEN A SIMPLE SAD LINE OR MAYBE A WHOLE NEW ANIMATION WHERE ALUCARD IS CONVERTED INTO A BAT AND ESCAPES (still counts as dead ) WOULDA BEEN MORE THAN ENOUGH.

whenever I play as Dracula and the last survivor tries to persuade me to let them go, I have them pet the doggo as payment. If they do, they live. If they don’t, they die.

I think Dracula was a big surprise and unique choice for the vampire killer people have been asking for. Whether or not we get a original character based on the concept or not, I’m satisfied

0:25 I love the fact Unknown is good and fun to play around and against while being relatively powerful in the hands of a competent killer, their design and powers are great too, so that's a rare win for BHVR.

Dracula truly feels like a conglomeration of mechanics in a way that works. However a lot of people argue wether or not he should be in because he doesn't count as "horror." While you could argue that Castlevania is horror, it makes more sense to say it isn't. But a lot of people never really saw DBD as a horror game. If DBD was more of a horror game it would've made more sense that Dracula was not the Castlevania but an original killer based on Bram Stoker's one instead. Me personally, I see DBD more like a Smash Bros situation, a love letter to all things horror without ignoring weird quirks that come with the genre, like the action horror or comedy horror subgenres. Anyway it's a good and fun chapter, feels like we've been eating good ngl.

This chapter justmakes me sad when I look at Belmont, his perks are that of a hobo breaking into your home, the game already has grenades, traps and bombs yet he couldnt get anything new made for him.

10:30 All the other heroes used firearms and needed to escape from some enemies in specific situations. As far as I know, the Belmonts never ran away. They always went straight forward to the enemy's lair to kill everything in there.

My biggest dissapointment is Eyes of Belmont, having the least amount of possible synergies when its supposed to have alot of synergies...yet it doesnt because "time based aura reads only", meaning perks like object, kindred or wiretap, does not work And even if you use a busted fogwise combo, fogwise's aura read doesnt stack, making the whole perk so pointless, might aswell only run it with dark sense and never again :/

Dracula is actually really fun to play against as well. The few games I’ve played against him have been a blast.

An interesting perk to try if you like using the bat form to get close to survivors before starting a chase might be Predator since it makes following the survivor scratch mark trail extremely easy. (Predator can be fun on Spirit for the same reason.) Basically just follow the trail until it stops or you hear them next to you and swap to human or wolf form, whichever you like playing as more in a chase.

I had this idea about adding FNAF, I think it would be cool for the killer to have the ability to put survivors inside the animatronic skeleton once downed and have a timer that would crush the survivor eventually and have the survivor be able to open up the animatronic by stunning/blinding the killer, also giving him the insidious effect and pounce attack to sort of mimic the jumpscare gameplay of the fnaf games and make his chase better. I think it would make for a good concept, since if the survivors just gen rush, they'll always be a man down and that would slow down progress until the survivor eventually died, it would force at least one person to actively look for the killer and try to stun him. It might lead to some degenerate playstyles idk, but it sounded cool in my head and I think it would be pretty unique

To be honest, I’ve noticed a lot of castlevania content coming out recently. First there was the anime, then a crossover with dead cells, and now dead by daylight. Honestly I could see konami pushing crossovers to try and get people back into this series, which I’m fine with cuz its a pretty cool series

I've actually found that machine learning is really silly with call of brine unsurprisingly, survivors are more likely to want to hop on the gen that decays more quickly if it's left alone

In some defense to Trevor he can only fight Dracula with the Vampire Killer whip, no whip no chance to defeat Dracula. That isn't to say he's not a capable fighter without the whip, he is but not good enough against an immortal being with unmatched supernatural power.

I find it interesting they went with Curse of Darkness Trevor/Dracula instead of anime Trevor but - who knows why, and also I get that's a very niche Castlevania lore tidbit. But yes Trevor would absolutely freak out at the sight of a flashlight.

I just want to add, but I believe people forget that although Konami hasnt made another Castlevania, I believe the original creator has still continued making games such as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

I would personally recommend using trail of torment combained with third seal on only wolf bulid, its fun when survs cannot see each other nor your terror and red stain plus it counters most used by survivor perk Windows Edit: aslo third seal hides generator yellow aura that trial of torment does

a perk i like on dracula is ruin. if you see a gen not regressing in bat form, you know it’s actively being repaired even from a long distance

Bat forms main strength is the teleport and thats it, pretty much the dredge of pallets and windows instead, staying in it for more than a few seconds is basically a waste of time.

Wretchet Fate is basically the killer saying.. "...and fuck you in particular" for no particular reason... XD ( EDIT, They do have to do a gen but still. )
