Zimbio's Lani Conway chatted with John Lloyd Young, Erich Bergen, and Michael Lomenda - the stars of Clint Eastwood's big screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical, 'Jersey Boys'
I love Michael's little smile, when the "Grease" theme was mentioned. I think it means a bit more to him, in particular, because he played Kenickie in the show at one point.
Did anyone else develop a BIG crush on John Lloyd Young after seeing the movie?! I mean, he's an extremely talented singer and actor, he seems like a very cool, easygoing guy, and he's very handsome. What's not to love
I can't believe John Lloyd Young is 40! I thought we was in his early 30's. He is so handsome damn I get all brushy when I listen to Sherry/oh what a night
For the record, Joey Reynolds was the DJ that played Sherry over and over for hours, He is the one who got Sherry stuck in everyone's head. Back when 1 radio station Dominated several 1000 sq miles. And Most cities only had 3 or 4 stations to choose from. Joey Makes his radio return Sunday Sept 18,2016 at 9pm on 77WABC, please tune in and stream this historic return to radio of one of the most generous souls on radio.
If John Lloyd Young sings Grease on the 29th of January 2016 during the Fox broadcast of Grease Live or not I'll plan to buy Four Seasons CDs plus the Jersey Boys movie on DVD or VCD, and most of all if he does sing I'LL FAINT
Yes Jenna I'm one of the ones that had a crush and I kept looking for him again I didn't know he was on the RU-vid well I didn't do RU-vid then but I kept waiting to see his movie over and over on cable and I don't know when you're 80 if you can have a crush but I did I'm 88 now and now that I found him again wow I can just see him anytime I want not not looking for him on cable I've seen the movie three or four times on cable I'll watch it again another group was singing Sherry and I thought it was them it wasn't so I didn't watch it that's not nice butt it is what it is LOL
@113559731988223108227 I don't know about that, but I hope so. I wish that he, Bob, and Tommy could've made a cameo during the movie's big closing number, dancing to "Oh, What A Night" alongside the men who played them. It would've been so cool.
..hm..so did they just admit they did not know anything about Frankie valli and the four seasons? or know the songs they played? kinda heart breaking to hear that
Joe Ordonez Well, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons weren't as popular as they were in the '60s and the '70s. It wasn't until Jersey Boys that their popularity spiked again.
really? ive always been a fan of Frankie valli and the four seasons since ive been like 5 im 26 going to be 27 in November. I still member the first song I ever heard from franki valli it was when I was 5 lol I was in Idaho my mom and dad were fighting a lot and moved away from texas etc. but I member my mother out side at night and I went out there and I heard "my eyes adore you" put a tear to my eye cause I could see my mothers pain for the first time. but it was to that song. I will always love that song.
I can't take my eyes off Vince Piazza, the epitome of the gorgeous Italian. I have seen the Jersey Boys movie, the Jersey Boys stage show and now I have it on DVD and I play it everyday.
***** OOOOH! I knew Barry Gibb had something to do with that song, since the Bee Gees were out around the same time the movie was. And they're both great falsettos, so Gibb knew what Valli was capable of. Awesome bit of trivia, thank you.
I've seen Grease at least 20 times and never realized Frankie sang that song. I became a teen in early 60's and sang myself to sleep listening to my 45's. Bitsy, I also thought it was Bee gees too. Guess I need to start reading the credits, lol. Thanks for the trivia. Love me some John Lloyd Young!!!
I didn't know that either until sometime after watching Grease live on Fox 3 years ago and one day I looked up the original version of the song and saw that Frankie Valli sang that song. So I was like ok you learn something new everyday.
I love to watch jhon I bought the movie and the jersey Boys CD I'm just wondering when they will ask him to make a movie his a good actor and a great singer he got it all!!!I hope one day he will be on a big screen again.Love you jhon.
