I wish this version of them playing at the hideout was still on youtube. I thought I'd never find this badass version of the song ever again.

The Hideout should have been their 1st LP, IMHO. Not knocking the reprisal, glad The Jester is getting air play, but this is the definitive version.

Thank God this version is still up. I'm so upset they deleted the originals. Like, I understand they wanted to revise it and make it to their current standards, but they didn't have to delete the old version. I love this version so much, and not to say the new one is bad, but it's just not the same. This version feels so genuine and raw. From the opening verse the singer (Josh) sounds broken, mentally detached and exhausted. There is this hopelessness to his vocalizations that feels tangible. This version is perfect for what the song is trying to convey; being forgotten in a crowd that was supposed to care. He sounds devastated. The new one feels... too polished? There is something about it that WANTS to capture the rawness of the original, but it's too conscious. Like every word is sung with the purpose of sounding authentic, rather than actually being authentic. The soft parts are too soft, too much effort in making it quiet that it loses the empty tone. The heavy, louder parts are too aggressive and doesn't capture the same heartbreak of the original. Both versions are good, but if this version gets deleted forever, I will never listen to Jester again. Nothing, at least to me, can beat this version.

Both versions are great! The other one is more melodic in my opinion; more reverb and melody which fits more with the somber mood of the song. This one is less melodic and more Rock’ish. Both serve their purpose. 🤘 I absolutely love the acoustic version of this song. It’s got the most raw emotion to it. Then again, acoustic makes everything better.❤️

This song comes on the radio a lot but I never payed attention to it until today when I found myself humming the chorus and just couldn't stop until I found out what it was called. Now this is one of my favorites. Love the lyrics

Why is the band and/or their label/management trying so hard to hide this fantastic version of the song?

This version is 100x better, in my opinion, than the album version. It's raw and just hits so much harder.

They are beyond the human limited versions, and the only way to evolve is to resonate the blocks from societys , just do better , u made ur choices , let it go , but what they don't see is the inner torment of how people can not put themselves in others worlds unless they trancend there own world... and this band has the gift to be that impression of expression to gain acceptance of the real depression and oppression..just the lessons we must feel inorder to rise to our acension.. so if ur starting to pay attention you may be waking to ur inner descresion .. repression , to go forward u must go in the opposite direction , for a visual representation of our self annilation. Which is the only way to prepare for our fated destination, which could be much worse then what the world so gloats to our fragile egos .. so wanting to concuer the world but to afraid to let it all go..so it becomes a hinderance to our spiritual revealtion that we are all nothing never more beyond the world of infinite possiblitits.. never here nor free .... never there nor seen
