I miss the 1980s great music Greek clothes great movies Great Haircuts great hairdos and great dance moves Thanks for the Memories who's listening to the Jets in the year 2021 this is 100% pure music this type of music you want to get up and dance no matter how old you are
Still a jam. You can hear the Prince inspired sound with a little Ready For The World flavor. Not since the Sylvers had there been a family group that played their own instruments, sang and danced. Though it might seem bubble gum pop, the lyrics had depth to capture what it meant to really want want someone. In those days, technology forced you to wait for responses of requited love. Hard to imagine how young they all were to create all this, not to mention Elizabeth belting out the lyrics very convincingly at like...15?
Wow!!! I love the jets so much!! Their music brings me back to the best years of my life. (87) I met my wife in that year and the Jets were all over the radio at the time. Thank you for posting,, im sure my wife RIP. Was listening too
A lot of the Jets’ family moved out to Hesperia California where I lived!!! They are Latter-day Saints or Mormons as many call them!! They’re awesome and I loved their music in the 80’s!!
Hey Google, when did Private Number, by the Jets come out? "Private Number" is a song recorded by the pop band The Jets. It features on their 1985 debut album, The Jets and was released as the third single from the album in 1986."- Wikpedia
Well done! You captured everything that the 80’s Pop-culture music scene was composed of. An awesome group as accompaniment to show off your talent. Great #sample!👍🏾
The most energetic and enlightening music... The Jets are one of a kind. No other band could make music like the Jets! Takes me back to my youth and their music will always be a staple in my youth + my life!!
Felicitaciones!! este video realmente es un hermoso trabajo y representa fielmente la esencia de la videoimagen de mediados de la decada de los 80. Saludos desde Chile.
Thank you for posting this! Do you still have the original tapes? It would be amazing to have this transferred in 1080p. The reason being that a 480p upload to RU-vid compresses even further. And now, with AI Upscaling, it would be great to see what details we could bring out that were lost in compression!
@@Lavatai801 Hello Eddie! Ladies and gentlemen, this is Eddie one of the original members of the Jets, he's the one who is playing on the Simmons Drums and the keyboard at 3:26-3:29!
So very grateful to see this! I saw the Jets way back when they were Quasar! They performed at the Venetian Inn. We knew they’d hit big and loved every single one of their songs. This is by far the best quality of this video that I’ve come across. Thanks for posting ❤️
Eugene brought a lot to this group and is missed. Can anyone confirm for me please. Someone had started a rumor that neither eugene nor the saxophone player were really true family members only friends that were allowed to perform with the group.
Great work for a great song! The first image reminded me when I flew on a plane this year and asked the Japanese flight attendant about a pay phone. She wrote “Paid phone” and said, “Explain ‘paid phone.’” What does the phone number at the end actually go to?
The phone number was their hotline where you hear 8 members of the Jets on the answering machine, and if the fans were lucky, one of the 8 members of the Jets would answer the phone and speak to them.
@@morrissmith6868 Cool, thanks for the info. I suppose it has long been disconnected. As a big fan, I should have called it at the time. I don't remember if I was too shy or worried it was likely to an unrelated person who was probably tired of getting calls from Jets fans. But as a large group, it was smart PR for them to have that setup as it would take a sharp fan, one of the most devoted, to notice and write down the number, and eight members meant easier for them to have a setup where one might answer. I just played their 12 inch single of this song the other day (as well as of "Curiosity") and one of the percussive sounds kept making me think, from the next room, that someone was knocking at the door. Anyway, did you call the number and speak to a Jets member or just get the recording of them all talking?
