I am new to your website and just finished watching the last 6 part of the series, The Jewish Jesus, and I want to tell you, I found it most interesting and excellent. Shalom
Great series!! I’ve been listening to these videos for the past few days and I have learned so much! Also, Rabbi, you sound like you could easily voice the cartoon character Kronk from “The Emperor’s New Groove”. That was one of my favorite movies as a child 😆😆
Worth every minute. I am very late but this is a timeless message. Thanks for reminding me of the history of the church and for taking the time to explain the Jewish Jesus and how a Jewish disciple of Jesus would perceive Him with your wonderful humor. I appreciate the courage and I noted where the rebuke was clear--and necessary. I am grateful for all of FFOZ and thankful I found this RU-vid page. Take care.
I can live a deeper life with God without law but by grace. Your legalism does not equate with holiness. How confused you are. Read how God redefined the peoples of God, over and over again. He destroyed the temple for a reason. Because we are now the temple and all the jewish laws are obsolete. A deeper walk with God does not include food restrictions. Of course we are the temple so we should eat to make our temple healthy. You have missed the whole gospel if you don’t recognize that believers are the new Israel of God and that includes Jew and Gentiles. Repent, and embrace the inclusive Gospel based on faith, not genealogy and works. The 40 years between Jesus’ ministry and the desktop the temple the law was still in effect. But no longer. Have you told your congregation that the talmud says that Jesus is boiling in excrement? Have you told them that Israel is trying to pass laws that make Christianity illegal?
@@patricechappell8579 Maybe we both need a lesson. Is Jesus Jewish? Can Jesus change? Why was the temple destroyed? What will happen to the church if it arrogantly believes it is ABOVE G-d or His Torah? Can G-d change? Where did Moses go to get the Torah? If heaven, are you sure you understand Jewish culture as Jesus practiced it? Start with those questions. I am NOT G-d! But G-d amazingly knows Himself.
As a lifelong heterosexual - the Torah is clear, observe God's laws, treat others with respect, do not mock/ridicule or overly criticise others. Divorce is an acts of disloyalty unless certain criteria is met. A restoration of pure worship will come to be prior to the upcoming great tribulation, culminating in Armageddon. Our choice of faith matters to our monotheistic God.
Do you ever preach about 70 AD and what that meant for the entire Jewish system? Your Jewishness does not make you superior. It is no longer about genealogy but strictly about faith.
