Man you know your stuff! At first I was just getting a little bored with mobster stuff but I wake up this morning and this video is there and I was born (1965) and raised in Everett Massachusetts during "Vietnam" which is one the world's natural resource for Rubber and all the powers wanted to control Rubber resources, especially after the Ford families attempt to establish a land for planting and growing Rubber Trees failed and Vietnam became prime real-estate. I would think it's where we have weapons to protect everyone from either a Russia or China attack. It's funny because growing up during 1960 through 1990 all schools and communities had groups of boys and men that hanged out together wherever it was accepted and convient and were talking the Football. Basketball Baseball and Hockey crews, and if need be also had scuffles against other people but are today branded as "Gang members" and are punished by laws for hanging together? Yeah we were all raised in preparation to become U.S.Soldiers and prepared to kill or be killed as intelligent gentlemen and that generation became a big headache for some city officials and many of us had to be reprogrammed in institutions that from the 70s until atleast the late 80s were run like reformatories. But as we advanced with technology these types were no longer desired and admired and were counted with unwanted by those controlling the laws and drugs swept in to disable and eliminate them. But we are now a nation helping the oppressed of the world and teaching children to use their brains to become a good American not violence. Thank you for your documentaries, great work.

Crazy that mattapan was a huge Jewish community. My grandfather was from dorchester and used to walk through mattapan to get home from school. He used to always say those “Jewish spuckies” were the best. Also George Kaufman has to be one of the most underrated OC figures in Boston history. Not much info about him. But he was around for ages and had so many connections.
