Just wanted to say , for my own preference. flip pushes the jbp from me watching once in awhile , say once or twice a month , to once or twice a week . He’s a big addition and when things are good between the group it gives it such a timeless , wholesome feel . This and the coach Roy episode were SO good 👍

Right... I'm glad he toned down that jumping up and yelling shit. Joe's pod is a different demo of listeners/viewers. I couldn't stand him at first but now he's one of my favs. I love how he actually listens to Mel instead of blow her off just cause she has a different or women's point of view. He also doesn't seem to be as misogynistic as some of the other guys. He gives a little turn up when needed. I hope he says on the pod.Just my opinion

As far as not allowing your kids to participate in holiday or political activities at school, I experienced this growing up, but I never felt left out or resented my parents or the classmates who engaged in them. It’s the parents’ responsibility to explain the importance of their beliefs to their kids at home. It’s also necessary to inform their teachers/administrators so that alternative arrangements can be made during those times. My siblings and I used to go to the school library during holiday celebrations and we took our own snacks and had the whole place to ourselves. Sometimes the staff even had special activities just for us. It was way more fun than eating some crusty cupcakes and candy! Eventually, some of our classmates got curious and even wanted to join. It allowed us, as kids, the opportunity to stand firm and talk about our faith-without our parents present. That often surprised the teachers who invited us to stay and celebrate if we wanted, because “no one would know”. But, we weren’t brainwashed or forced, lol-we were educated and understood why we were abstaining. It was a valuable experience in learning to speak up for ourselves and we didn’t miss out. If anything, our integrity earned us respect. Bottom line: thorough communication is the key to the success of those situations.
