Thanks for showing all of the differences. Went to a dealer today, they were closed. Just wanted to study the tractors and check them out for myself. I did notice that the seat on the 1025 felt better on my back. For me it wouldn't just be a luxury difference.

using a box blade that 3-point control on the R is defiantly worth the extra I'm glad I had a dealer that did a good job explaining that to me.

Just got my 1023, the only option I wish it had was the Rock Shaft for my box blade.. Have been surprised at the power it has!

@@AdamCraigOutdoorsI just bought a 2013 1025r with only 250 hours. It's really like brand new. The previous owner only used it for mowing. The bucket still had all the factory paint on it. Only had it a week but I'm loving it!

If you look in the books it's actually less than 2 hp that separates the two. It just doesn't make that much difference. It's just that sales people always try to promote and sell the 1025r. The 1023 is a awesome tractor. It has a very comfortable seat. It just takes a little more skill to run. Thanks for the video!!

I have a 1023e and have used a Frontier 2048 brush cutter numerous times since I have had it. Cutting weeds and kudzu and grass taller than rear tires. Have not had any problem with not having enough power.

Glad I saw this. I was thinking about a 1023e. The extra features n the 1025r make it worth the $2k to me.

I just traded my 7 year old 1025r in for a brand new one. Now I have to set it up the way I want. Got a great price for my old one too. Only had 283 hours on it.

When it gets down to these tractors its a 2 hp difference. Farmers used tractors for years and still do without a "Rock Shaft or tilt steering" Clearly everyone can see that the seat on the 25 is a lot thicker so you would need tilt steering so it's not rubbing your legs. I like my 1023e

Always had a soft spot for the tiny tractor's. They're quite strong for their size and have so so many uses but any untouched land especially mud, they're going to be as useful as a zero turn mower. For the guys in the City with a couple acres of land that's by far the absolute best money can physically buy overall. I have a 1050 mfwd TLB not mint condition but very Good. My rear tires alone are physically bigger than either of those little tractors lol but they have to be, I'm way out in the woods pulling trees through very soft/rocky ground. If it didn't have such large rears there's no hope to pull such large tree's or even stay on top of the mud without digging to China. Also it's way to big to drive across the lawn without damaging it. Such a simple task cannot be done even with everything possible off the tractor trying to lighten her up. Where as those little tractors can drive all over wet or dry the lawn and almost never damage it! Then if you need to front loader say to bring in firewood/pellets she will pick up say 10 times as much as you could. Just a highly adapted tool in short. Never compete with a typical "old school" heavy iron tractor with 52"+ rears BUT the tiny tractor's will legit drive circles around the big tractor lol

Technically I could get away with 1023. But for 2000.00 more I would upgrade. Manly for brush cutter use. I dont need it. But why limit my options?

I have both. I actually prefer the 1023e except for the position control on the 3 point, as well as the speed control for lowering the 3 point. The seat is not as nice on the 1023e but it goes back further. For a tall guy it's more comfortable. The best reason to buy a 1025r is resale. Don't plan to sell it? Buy the 1023e.

For your 1023e, You do know there is a Rate of Control lever under your seat for the rock shaft that controls the speed at which the rear implements drop? It is on the right hand side once you pull up the seat. Looks like a silver “T” handle.

$13,000 x 15% more to get those extras wasn’t worth it to me, but for some it may very well be, especially the extra 2 hp.
