I've been waiting for this one. Hits very close to home. I spent years at sea (cruise ships), was even on board during the skeleton crew days at the height of Covid. The very day I was going to fly out for another contract, I got my cancer diagnosis. "You're not flying anywhere, you're going in for emergency surgery" - my doctor. I'm happy to say this one did get better. A few bits cut out, months of chemo and recovery, but I'm still here writing about it. It did, however, end my maritime adventures. But I'll still sing sea shanties and pirate songs. And hey, technology lets me talk to most of those best mates I've ever had, so the loss does not sting so much. Lets me hear this one and still have a smile.

I put this on my playlist because it is a beautiful song. I took it back off two hours later because I started crying, and I don't think I could handle this if it played at the wrong time.

THAT'S a tough question! Hmmmm...if we had to pick one, we'd point you towards X Marks The Spot. That's the album where we started writing the songs we perform (most of them, anyway). X Marks The Spot and the album that follows it, Cutlass, Cannon and Curves are all 100% original songs!

My family and I come out to KC every year to see you guys. You had just released X Marks the Spot the first time I saw you and I haven't missed a year since. Numbers is still one of my favorite songs but this one is high up there too. I love a good body song, you can't go wrong with a drinking song, but the somber songs are where you guys show the absolute amazing range you all have. That so many people thought you were leaving, self included, shows how meaningful your music is to so many people. I hope you are all doing well and can't wait to see you again this fall.
