Yet another top quality talent from NZ ! For a small population new Zealand pumps out tons of talented super stars / singers / actors / inventors etc ... Everyone loves Noiseworks , I know I did and i still do . Jon Stevens I one "Superstar "!
I saw Jon perform recently at my local RSL, was a brilliant performance with this band. He has a very interesting story to tell, and such a terrific bloke. My older brother, in his 50's had heart surgery a few years ago, and Jon is so damn right about warning people to get a check up, as you never know what physical condition you are in until you get a check up.
Thank you Jon Stevens, you have done the music industry proud, with all your support to others. Sharing your story, has also made other men aware of getting regular health checks. Your dad and mum, still on this earth I hope, would be so proud of you. Hat's off to you my friend. 😀👍
"I just jumped on a plane, and off we went, into the great unknown...what an adventure!" Fantastic words right there Jon...truly a Kiwi at heart, with that "can do" attitude! Kia kaha xx
Absolutely a delight to watch and listen to. Your an amazing performer still pumping out songs, that incredible voice getting us all jumping - Love you Jon Stevens
Everything in life is not by accident ! In one day, the sky opened and found - welcome, Jon Stevens! Man to such charisma - a great man! These people keep our fragile world in harmony! GOOD LUCK!
Amazing documentary Jon. So happy that you are still here. I love your music with Noiseworks and everything that you have done. You are an inspiration🎶❤️
That first album changed my teenage years. I discovered you guys on the Quiksilver movie and recorded the few songs on my tape deck. Was only 7 years later when i finally got to Oz where i immediately bought all the CD on day 1. Love from South Africa
Jon Stevens LEGEND! I was at school when Jezebel came out and you were the man. Makes my blood boil to hear about the idiots assaulting you just because you were amazing. Kept an eye and ear on your career and not surprised at your success. Ka rawe!
Amazing life... Epic Family.(!!!!) . would seriously LOVE to be around a Maori Family like that.. seriously!!! absolutely mesmerizing! The love and talent and family spirit they share is seriously next level!!!! Incredible singer and musician!! Cheers Jon!!
HI Jon ,thanks for you sharing your life story.God did and still has his hand on your life.Call on him anytime as he is there for you anytime of DAY or Night. God bless. 😊
Noiseworks was a great Rockband. I`ve seen them Live in Copenhagen, in a very small Club, and they were simply just awesome. They had a great stage show, and a really cool connection with the audience. At one point, John Stevens walks up, I`m at the edge of the stage, and he extends his hand and and smiles. The Gesture he did was " Slip me some skin Mate ", but no one in Denmark at the time, knew what THAT meant, so I looked at him for a few seconds..............and gave him a normal Handshake...😁.. I remember he laughed at me, not in a mean way, but actually in a very warm way, with a spark in his eyes...😄.....It`s a very nice memory, of a great singer, and a great band, doing a great Concert..........and I`ve never forgotten it............I loved that Band........still do............❤
Early January quite unexpected I was rushed to hospital. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. As a result I had a minor stroke that has affected my peripheral vision. Get checked! Don't take chances with your health!
He’s one cool hombre... fantastic voice and great music.. Millie is some sort of song along with many others... there was only one problem with this documentary... it was too bloody short.
The first time i saw him was in 87 as a warm up for Jimmy Barnes, and i tell you what Noiseworks almost stole the show. Have seen him a few times over the years and he never fails to entertain. Fuckin class act. Ps oh and the Mrs thinks he's hot as bro.
Good one Kiwi Jon - education & much needed Information that can be spread around - will make things so much better / easier for others who may need to be informed. Kia kahaTama
I like to watch your video! Tell about yourself - it is always better than someone tell you about later. Very interesting and wonderful as you are talking about family, how are ye troubled by his popularity. Jon, you - and a very bright star! I am very glad that save to favorites, and I can see!
To Funny i also am born to a Scottish father and a Maori mother and i also have heart problems in my early years due to my scottish ancestory... Jon was my 80's crush.. We are actually Scozzies... scottish, Maori, Aussie
Looks like he was becoming a victim of tall poppy syndrome just before he left NZ. Am seeing him live later this year for the first time in Auckland, not sure how I missed seeing Noiseworks back when I lived in Sydney.
