The Jordy Nelson Movie - A Career Tribute 

Happy Easter everyone!! Im not crying, you're crying. Here is a mini-movie I made to commemorate Jordy Nelsons career as a football player. He was everything great about a Green Bay Packer, on and off the field. Personally one of my favorite players of all day. This guy NEVER gave up, no matter the task. From walking on at college as a safety, to being 5th on the Packers depth chart, and then tearing his ACL and coming back to have an amazing season, so much can be said about Jordy. He's helped this team win so many games, and I hope he will retire a Packer in a couple years. Best of luck in Oakland! I hope everyone enjoys this, it took a while.

It's random but one of my best memories of Nelson was when Mike McCarthy threw a challenge flag when he couldn't. Nelson ran onto the field, grabbed the red flag, and hid it to avoid the penalty. It just shows Nelson's complete awareness of all aspects of the game. He was an athletic freak but more than anything it was his intelligence and work ethic that made him the pro bowl quality player that he was.

Jogs off the field with a torn ACL, plays with broken ribs. Jordy is a boss, and honestly I'm still upset about it. Hope he tears it up in Oakland.

The NFL never has seen and never will see a duo like Rodgers and Jordy ever again.

It makes me so incredibly happy that Jordy got to retire as a Packer.

I am a life long Green Bay fan. Jordy Nelson is among my 2 favorite players of all time along with Brett. He was always so much fun to watch on the field. When I was deployed on my second tour to Afghanistan I stayed up after a 48 hour mission to watch the super bowl. I wrote to the packers a month prior and they sent me a large box with tons of packer merchandise to include the Nelson Jersey I wear every single game. Great player and great man. Aside from Jordy's great hands, and ability to get open, I think my favorite thing about him I appreciated was his sideline awareness and concentration to get both feet down in bounds, even on tough battling catches.

Nobody brought energy to a football team quite like Jordy Nelson did. His relationship with Aaron Rodgers was like no other. I get goosebumps watching these highlights because I miss him. A great football player but an even better human being.

As a Green Bay fan I am proud and humble to see Jordy's career unfold before my eyes. I have nothign but respect and admiration for his accomplishments and incredible humbleness this man brought to the sport he loved and we so much enjoyed watching him play and give us many nights of thrills and memories we will not forget. I’m crying in 2019

It breaks my heart knowing he won't be in a Packers uniform next season. The connection him and Rodgers had was so precious, it's going to be hard seeing him play with a different QB. Hope he does well in Oakland, once a Packer, always a Packer 💚💛 love you, Jordy :)

The day they drafted Jordy I said he was the next Terrell Owens (without the attitude)... all my friends thought I was crazy at the time lol. Thank you for all the great memories Jordy Nelson, one of my favorite Packers to ever play the game.

I still don't understand why GB let him go. Sure he was slowing down a bit. But it never stopped him from making great catches and great plays. He expressed his desire to stay in GB and if I remember right he even said he'd be willing to take a pay cut to stay in GB... Now that he's retired I'd love to meet him and just talk about some of his favorite moments in GB. Him and Donald Driver are my all time favorite WR's from GB.

Jordy Nelson was a team guy. He fought everyday and I have said in other comments he has the HEART OF A LION. He NEVER quits. I have seen stupid decisions over the years in GB. Picking Mandarich over Sanders, thats #1. Losing Jordy Nelson has to be up there however. He was hurt and we dropped him. Nelson was so LOYAL. To dump him was just sad. He had such a dynamic with Rodgers. Hell I'd like to see him play NOW. We NEED another receiver. Bring him back for a try. There's nothing to lose in trying. Unless he has a career ender. His tenacious attitude made him tough to defend. He was a JOY to watch play. I was blessed to have been at Lambeau Field to see him play. We were so lucky to have him. Then to hear the Packers low-balled him with a pathetic offer? That pissed me off. So many players have been loyal, have desperately wanted to stay here but Green Bay had started to get a ego. James Jones said Nelson would have worked with the Packers on an incentive-laden deal to stay, but the team wasn’t interested. Jones said it would not have helped if the Packers would have just told Nelson they were going to cut him rather than offer a low-ball contract. I understand it's a business HOWEVER there is also a little thing that other players see. LOYALTY. When a team just dumps a player who played there his whole career, or offers him a pathetic contract, that sends signals to other players, Hey Green Bay isn't a straight up team. Honestly though now that I think about it, how many teams are? When our previous GM Ted Thompson was here he chose the draft over experience. Personally I feel you need a mix of BOTH to succeed. YES you need the draft and youth. But without VETERAN leadership your INexperience will hurt you. I'm not trying to say I hate GB. Far from it. I have been a fan for 40+ years, with a sketchy year after Favre left. Now THAT is a completely different story. But in the end, yes it is a business. Again though, did this "business" move help them? Would keeping Jordy for another year have made Green Bay better? Well Jordy never made them worse.
