That's a stretch. Explain how they "got a steal". Just because giddey is younger doesn't mean they win the trade, it depends on the circumstances. OKC needs someone who can help them with contention, and someone who isn't long term, while the bulls are just rebuilding. Both teams won the trade

Not to mention, if you want giddey to be a part of your franchise long term, you guys will also need to sign him to a new expensive contract since he's expiring.

100% agree with you. Too many people have a completely uniformed view of Giddey. You only have to see how he looked when he was used as the main ball handler rather than some sit in the corner off the ball guy. Great player, but he just didn't fit with OKC's roster construction.

They definitely won the trade, a true building block, something who can get the ball to athletes on the move like AYO, wright, Colby, terry, and Williams,,,, screw a draft pick this kid has 3 years of production in this league… 21 yr old that’s still younger than a 3 or 4 yr college kid

I agree. Watch his regular season games against Houston, Newyork and Phoenix. Offensively outside of his 3 point shot he is a great Offensive player.😮

i agree the bulls won the trade. giddey is a great player, he just didnt fit with okc, but if you go back to hia rookie year, he was player of the month for a few months before okc shut him down to tank a bit at the end of the year. i think ppl have very short memory, but im stoked to see giddey play with the bulls moving forward. he has a passing style similar to lamelo, but better....

100% the Bulls won the trade. When Giddey is back running the floor the Bulls fans will change their minds very quickly. This Kid can be a serious player going forward.

@centrehalfbench7 they do matter if your doing a 1 for 1 trade. Also not to mention they matter even more when the bulls could've gotten way more for Caruso if he was traded at the deadline.

I hope you are right. His 3 pt shooting is not great. He was benched in the playoffs because of bad shooting. I am concerned about him. He is young with a lot of upside however.

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand how your saying the bulls won the trade. The bulls could've gotten way more if they traded Caruso at the trade deadline. Also OKC needed someone who can help them to win now and someone who isn't long term. Just because giddey is younger does not mean the bulls won the trade.

Bulls traded an often injured role player and got back a starter who can create scoring opportunities for others and rebounds well for his position @ only 21 years old. Bulls did well for themselves

The only way the Bulls win this trade is if OKC doesn’t go to the finals and Giddy looks like he did 2 years ago. However I respect Caruso too much and only want the best for him.

I don't think so. They should've traded someone other than Caruso. I don't think I have an issue with JG, it's just Caruso had that 'give all had and then some' effect that I think was really important to the Chicago team. Kinda reminds me of Joakim Noah. Ultimately, I can't do anything about it so they'll do what they do... but losing that defensive capabilities does hurt. (at least, all in my opinion).

Caruso is 30, injury prone. He'll be overprice once he turns 32, 33

@@jhacerivers and i don't understand why people like you couldn't understand the reason Bulls sent him to OKC. He had been never making Bulls contender at all since he came. He is bench players, injury prone, 30 and will be free agent next year. So, it's a time to trade him. Getting giddey as a return is better than 13th pick from kings

Coby White was our PG last year in Chicago. Played 79 games, averaged 36mpg, 19/4.5/5.1 in his first year as a starting PG. Shot nearly 38% from 3, good defender. That's not "desperately need a PG." Bulls FO is just incredibly inept and lacks vision.

The good playmaker will helping Coby to more scoring. He can be play as SG, while Giddey play as PG. Also, Giddey will help a lot on offensive rebound, if Bulls put Vucevic as 3 point shooter

@@jhacerivers dude in donavan system, there is no legit PG, SG or SF role. Donovan could play 4 guard in the same time. Last season, when Lavine didn't play, donovan put Derozan, White and dosunmu/caruso as a starter. White could play in any role on that system, he could play as playmaker and also scorer. Giddey will making easy to white and other to scoring with his playmaking skills.
