Daniel Pearl was an advocate of religious tolerance. He had Muslim friends. Real Muslims believe in peace; the terrorists who killed Daniel Pearl were perverting actual Islam. I think the writers of the two nastier comments below are dishonoring Pearl's beliefs and life's work. Btw, I am Jewish, so please don't accuse me of siding with al-Qaeda. I simply agree with Danny that bigotry and hate cost the world far too much.
The original documentary that was released over 20 years ago is still the most horrific thing I have ever seen. Just this morning I saw a short video that reminded me of Daniel. We weep for him now, and always will.
We used to be nervous about foreign countries attacking, yet now young protesters fill our own country; it has never been heard of until a few months ago. Fear consumes students that respect their school, and are proud of their accomplishments seem to be a minority
