DON'T agree to this 'one last talk' with the partner you're about to divorce, if you are a woman (and if there have been violence and abuse in the relationship before, I probably should add...) That's very likely to be the last day of your life - sad but true, according to statistics.
yeah, there's no point in 'confronting' someone who is violating your trust and breaching your relationship contract - accept the relationship is over and plan your escape in secret. when someone who has been treating you poorly all of a sudden treats you well they're probably luring you into something bad.
@@Daniel_Capital there are no official stats other than these shows that have a similar pattern of violence occurring at break up. it's not a good idea to threaten someone who's bigger and stronger than you - even if they're not a 'criminal' they could still lose their temper and do something stupid. From him to go from choosing the other woman to then wanting to talk & feels bad…hours later she’s dead! Yeah…he’s GUILTY AF!!!! My mom was given propofol for about 3wks in the hospital! She had fallen at home, laid there for 3days…she laid on the bathroom floor with a shattered femur! We saw her grimace in pain but she didn’t remember a thing 🙏🏻 she remembered being on the floor but not being able to get up and to her phone & then everything after the hospital visit…month & a half in the hospital…month & a half in rehab! She became a left BTK amputee…I sold my house, moved in with her…took care of her for 8yrs…she’s now at peace, painfree & walking whole again…we lost her this past March 😔 I’m lost but getting by ❤️💔 He also said they had sex, took a shower & he put his scrubs back on?!? She taped an encounter with him…you walk out that door, it’s over & he so coldly said…ok & got up n left!! When will women understand the guy you love/loved & loved you can turn on you in a second! He already left, chose the new flame over you, doesn’t want to get lawyers involved(to expensive) & he then has a change of heart, wants to “talk”…then she ends up dead, same day of the talk! 🤔 She even asked her friend to pray for her, they were going to talk! It’s always greed & lust!!
If your spouse cheats then it’s over. 99% of the time it doesn’t work out. I stayed with a cheater for 6 years after his affair thinking I could fix it. So many people waste time or end up like Maria. Please think of yourself and your kids and not settle for a cheater. I would never wish a child to having no mother for the rest of the lives. There is a lot of difference between not having a father vs not having a mother. I loved my father more than my mom, but can never compare my father's love with my mother's. She is kind of special, the relationship with a mother is so different on so many levels. I am 54 and my mother is 75, and she still treats me as if I am her little boy. Depriving children of their parent, is so wrong. Those children will now have to live and suffer because of this maggot's decision. I didn't like one bit about children's custody being granted to the perpetrator's family.

It only feels that way. A LOT of people don't get caught. You don't hear of them as often because THEY didn't get caught. How many people have done in multiple wives before they get caught because they just didn't quit soon enough.

He's a nurse anesthetist. Therefore, he has access to all these surgical drugs. These aren't street drugs. He had to have been stealing these drugs from the hospital he worked at. There are many red flags. This beautiful woman deserved way better than this guy. May she rest in peace.
He sounds like a narcissist. I am going through a divorce from my narcissistic husband of 7 years. Listening to how he spoke to Maria reminds me of how my husband would talk and yell at me. My husband also cheated on me numerous times. The emotional abuse is so awful. Maria is a beautiful woman and didn't deserve the terrible treatment of her husband. She gave him two wonderful boys, forgiveness and love, all of which he tossed in the garbage. Emotional abuse is devastating because you can't see the deep wounds. I am on permanent disability due to my husband's abuse. God bless and be with Maria and her two boys till they meet again.
In as much as Janet wasn't an angel in this story, I'm actually delighted that she testified against him. So often, you'd find the other woman sticking with these awful men in this situation or refuse to come forward. The type of men such as Joel, are narcissistic and VERY manipulative. From the outside it's difficult to see why she never left. But I think he finally realised that she would no longer participate in his circus and he wanted it to end on HIS terms. Narcissists have the most sensitive ego and why they cover it up as constantly displaying mental abuse and extreme manipulation. RIP Maria. My bil left his wife right she gave birth in the hospital. Dissapeared fo 3 months. Finally found at house they bought together and when he saw her, he came straight to her and told her to leave and taker trash. right as his kids were unbuckling their seaatbelts to hug him. at that the time he also had a 2 year old that wasnt eating the whole was gones. She tought he dead and was worried, so the kids still got out of the vehicle to hug him crying. He rejected them and kept telling her and the other woman also started screaming at her to get off “their” property. he even was helping his other woman bring her stuff in the house.🤬🤬 She got so mad that she slapped the other woman, because she overheard the other woman say take her trash (she was alking about my sil kids she had with. him) and leave my property, I am the owner now and his wife. He even went ahead and crashed his truck unto her car.🤬🤬🤬🤬 and kept screaming a her tomleave before the cops got there. My sil wasnt. afraid so she stayed for the copss to take her, so she thought. she explained the whole thing and the leet her go
I can relate to Maria’s struggles and suffering. Survivor of severe abuse, 17 years of mariage. A monster, who pushed me to trying to end my own life , bc I couldn’t bare anymore, as I had become very I’ll bc of the abuse. 10 years divorced this year. Still suffering from the traumas and consequences. Beautiful Maria, rip .
What these shows don’t mention is that society allows this behavior. ,does little to protect and save the wife and children things need to change. The courts also let the men have child custody partial or otherwise

I dont think it works like that. It would clear her receptors, but it would also block them from any other opiates. So he would have had to give her the narcan first & then wait about 8-12 hrs for it to clear itself from her system before any opiates would even take effect.
So i just got to the part with the tox results. What is narcan doing in there? Counterintuitive, no? Is it possible that maybe she actually did like to get high, but when he saw she was overdosing he gave her narcan?
The immunity deal seemed unnecessary, but that’s often the case. Regardless, I’ll bet Joel was shocked that the woman who shamelessly gave it up to a married father would serve him up in court. And that the jury wasted a whole hour before finding him guilty with that preposterous defense. It’s just sad when the only person doing the right thing ends up losing her life over a little bit of money.

One of the prosecutors said the video in the car was "very painful to watch". Well, when she gave her husband an ultimatum (which never works by the way), I saw that as her taking her power back and trying to get some control. So, to me it was positive because its seems she was saying she was no longer willing to be his doormat.
Maria didn’t love Joel too much she just didn’t love herself enough. We need to teach our daughters to love themselves first, I’m thankful my grandmother taught me that so if red flags showed up I’m out so I always had very loving relationships.

Maria's friends did nothing to save her. I also find it strange that they smile all the time during the interview. What's so funny? I also don't understand how it's possible to steal drugs in a hospital and has never been caught?
Very easily, when they use a vial of drugs that let's say holds 5ml, and the dr orders 3ml. The leftover 2ml are thrown away. They are supposed to have a witness, that sees that it's disposed of correctly. But I work at a hospital and I know that nurses sometimes are so busy that they ask some other nurse to sign off that they witness the disposal. Even though they didn't, they do this fir each other. In fact one nurse got caught giving people nursing care with drugs/opiates at people's home with stolen drugs from work. Someone tricked on her and they made a sting and caught her.
Great story follow up. The ending with Maria possibly sending signals, gave me chills too! I believe God allows us to send messages to our loved ones, when they need it, so why not. They said she was seeking help from the church, so she must have been a true believer
That bothered me too, but I think it was meant like 'She loved him too much for her own good!' I know it's hard for some people to understand, but in a toxic relationship, it's difficult for the abused to realize that they would be better off on their own then they would be staying with that person. You love them so much & think that you really don't want to lose them. You love the person you fell in love with, not necessarily the person they've become. But there's always that thought that, no matter how bad the relationship has gotten, they will go back to being the person you fell in love with if you can treat them better or be less confrontational & let things slide. Then before you know it, you've let so much slide & their treatment of you just gets worse & worse, but you're still holding on to the relationship becuz you believe the person you love is still in there somewhere! The more you let things slide in a relationship like this the more it's going to keep escalating until you decide it's not worth living this way anymore & you leave or the other person decides they are better off without you...but no one else can have you either! It's terrifying, but it happens all the time.

It’s not possible to breathe voluntarily while under anesthesia , but anesthesia drugs are necessary in order to invasively cut into the body and perform surgical procedures. Surgery before this revolution was almost always fatal. So much so, the doctors used to accept payment upfront. Yay 1800s😮
This girl was too beautiful to be so sad..you can just see it by looking at her, that her beauty wasn’t just outside, but inside too. It’s not fair that he made the decision to take his kids mother away…We don’t always understand why things happen but that’s why The Lord tells us, not to lean on our own understanding..Not only is not fair, but it’s not right that these kids have to grow up without their mother..But even though she count be saved to stay in this world, God saved her & took her with him. Where she deserves to be, more alive than any of us here on earth. For that, God will make sure her children are ok & she will too, will watch over them & always be in their hearts. I pray that God gives her family & loved ones know, that she is with him..and also, that he is with them. Allowing them to feel his arms wrapped around them.
