Faith, sorrow, hope, regret: Toni and Moriah know them all firsthand. In this first episode of Unshakable Moxie, hosts Toni Collier and Moriah Smallbone meet for the first time getting to know each other’s stories and hearts before embarking on their journey to speak with women of moxie.
The two bond over their love for God but also their struggle with trust and heartbreak. Amidst her thirtieth birthday festivities and fun, Moriah admits she has feelings of worry and uncertainty about the days to come. After talking about her past, Toni reveals that her attempts to be open and tender leave her feeling exposed.
Both challenge each other to lean into one another and trust God. Join them as they begin their journey to talk with women who have overcome hardship and developed resilient faith: women of unshakable moxie.

I relate so much to these women! The abuse, failed marriage (shame) and lack of trust. I left an abusive marriage because of my granddaughter (regret not leaving for myself and now adult sons). We are all healing in Christ (therapy as well) and life is feeling so much better. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to the rest of the series. ❤

Holy smokes -- this is me -- I have HUGE trust issues and I have walls up with people who could be friends bc I've been HURT, and I've hurt. I realize relationships take risk but it is SO hard. The Lord wants us to be in community but it is so hard for me to. The enemy wants us to not try to have friendships.

THIS is why I would rather be around animals. They love unconditionally and are very therapeutic. HOW does a person tear down the protective walls? I am a work in progress with this. Little by little God is working on me. Prayer is my foundation. I have to pray out loud though so it's REAL to me. God shows up in my life. The human in me is so fearful to get hurt again that I am an introvert by nature but the Jesus in me somehow through His Spirit and Grace makes me in extrovert to get out of my comfort zone and LOVE PEOPLE. I am the most introverted extrovert which seems so unbalanced at times. Thank the Lord He is still working on me!

I just came across this series. I look forward to following the stories. Iam not sure how to process, so far. I am completely different than the testimonies in this episode. I have always, always chosen people over product. I am 55 years old and am tired of loving and ministering to people. One can only take so much heartbreak. It has always been loving and serving people for me, even to the point of doing without. My serving others even caused my children to do without and I am only realizing that now. I want to be done with people. I just want to concentrate on my relationship with Jesus, relax, and enjoy this life He has given me. I feel bad that I am tired of dealing with people, but I am also hopeful in looking forward to just relaxing and not dealing with drama, disrespect, gaslighting, and manipulation. I should have established balance and boundaries in my earlier years, but I didn't and can't go back. You ladies are young. I hope you find all God has for you and live the life He has given you for His glory. I pray you have relationships grounded in Him and that are fun and healing and uplifting.

Oh I'm so glad we didn't disable comments. Kudos ODB with much love from long-time reader Brooke in SF. I was noticing how very polished and appealing this is on many levels, and am happy to give the whole team that worked to create this gratitude and respect. Tbh, it wasn't until minute 24:00 minutes in that Moriah pulled an unexpected move that won me over.. Reality television has already desensitized us to manufactured moments, and first-person confessionals in front of a camera. But when she went ahead and broke the fourth wall (I think that's what they call it?) after perfectly alliterating her point! Ha, she got me there. THAT held some originality and agency that is compelling. Again: ❤ Good work. 🙏

Please, could you add subtitles in Spanish? I'd like to share this series with some friends who are Spanish native speakers. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit have been exalted in this series, I just needed to be pointed to them, and I'd like to share the message with these friends too.
