It sucks that some people invalidate their struggles just cause they came from sm and they became 'famous' instantly bcs of this. It doesnt mean thay they didnt go through a rough patch, they were heavily criticized for their weird concept, lost members, yet still managed to stay strong as a group. Why? Bcs through these hardships they became closer to each other. Lets recognize their efforts and power, they managed to become one of the biggest groups in kpop despite sm's poor promotions. Sm put a wall around them, making them promote only in asia, but exo's music spread further.
It is very sad that SMent market target were only Asia and China. That's why they didn't promote EXO that much in America and Europe. I've always been wondering what if SMent promoted them better globally. EXO could be bigger today with their talent, unique group concept and consistent storyline.

Everytime I watch this video I have tears in my eyes. They went through so much and became so big. I'm with EXO from autumn of 2013 and I witnessed all the ups and downs. And I couldn't be more proud of them. I like kpop in general but my love for EXO always will be beyond everyone.
I personally love the fact that some members were not strong dancers at the beginning and others were not confident in their vocals etc. There is a base of raw talent and possibility but it is only through incredible amounts of hard work and dedication that they have become the artists they are today. Years and years of their lives have been dedicated to this and they have never taken it lightly. It's not EASY for any of them. Professionals only make it look easy. The accomplishments are truly theirs because they put in the time and the effort. That is the way of legends
Each member in EXO is highly *talented and attractive* ( in looks and personality) for which they get to escorted by SM to audition and passed it. Each of them is so *determine and hardworking* person that they get to debut under SM, out of 120 trainees 12 became EXO. They were hyped because they're from SM but when they debut with MAMA many started questioning because of their unique music and "childish" Concept.. But when they came back from that almost 1yr hiatus, they rocked the world, broke records and made history.. When everything was going fine then came the crisis.. After so much of Insucrities, doubts, relationship on test, huge backlash from people they still stood together as one and showed that doesn't matter how talented, hardworking or successful you are.. Problems gonna come around and you've to fight it to maintain or fight for your place.. They showed that even when luck isn't with you you have to fight to change your fortune. They wrote their fortune with their own hands only having one another to rely on. EXO has everything but luck. Individually they all are exceptionally talented but as a group they put all their efforts, blood, sweat and tears in overcoming every group's nightmare AND have achieved every group's dreams. That's the reason they're inspiration to so many people.
I cried watching this with u, Sir Austin. I just can't put into words all the things EXO makes me feel... I've been with them since their predebut, I've never leave (and never will). I lived with them the ""failure"" people said they were when they debuted, then when they got the world in their hands with their success and went like that through the years and even when the china line leaved and all our hearts were broken... But we still love and support them as much as we do with EXO members. I hate some kpop fans or ppl in general that say they're not popular anymore or that there are another certain group who is better lol hell no! EXO is a legend, there would never be another *thing* like them. I cannot describe how amazing EXO is, it is really impossible to explain. I'm glad you became an EXO-L (I watched all your journey, all your videos in one week haha) and I'm following u. P.S. If you could react to EXO's predebut teasers or EXO Showtime (idk if it is possible on youtube tho... So if it is not, could u do it in some other place where we could watch?) please do it! Thanks
EXO was a bridge between Korea & China. They were hugely popular in China. They were young & unique mix of Korean artists and Chinese artists. Gosh this video made me emotional & also remember allllll of the emotions.....
The only regret i have as an EXO-L is that I am not fangirling them since their Debut... They are so humble, hardworking and so precious.... You can't help but love them... Suho's award speeches are really great... You should check out his speeches compilation...
Other groups may be popular and famous but not as talented as EXO. EXO is successful as a group as well as the individual members that's why they are legend ❤️
You know during their early years they were also called boys with animal like voices by the people. I read it somewhere. Of course there were some performances where they were a bit off but no one can be perfect in each and every performance. I don’t know why can’t they understand that.
Seeing this makes me cry, I'm very proud of them, they've come a long way, they deserve everything they have and more. EXO is an amazing group and yes, they are legends. I love my Exol family and I'll be here until there's no more EXO. I'll be waiting for the second part. Thank you! 💕
OT12 OT12 OT12 OT12 This vid brings back so much memories, I was prejudice with kpop before including EXO, not until I saw EXO Showtime and that's when things went to a steep turn. I genuinely felt that I really want to be within their circle not for the fame and etc, but for their bond. I want to surround myself with the kind of friendship they had. I ve been a fan since. ♥️🖤
EXO-Ls in China is has the biggest fan base...they love Exo ever since OT12...and they still being loved until now despite the conflict of 2 countries...

I am proud of what they have become right now ☹️💙 Honestly, EXO saved me from my anxiety and depression, that's why I am so thankful to have them in my life~
It hurts me a lot when people talk sh*ts abt them. They don't know how much struggle they've been through. And I can say that EXO-L is the strongest fandom. ❤
This is an amazing series with their history. Hopefully the creator will consider continuing the series at some point 💕 The clips from the last part were all from Exo Showtime 😿 it's a must watch show and it's OT12. So many clips from there keep me going on a daily basis. The clips where they are wearing chick costumes are from one of the best Chinese variety shows I've seen EXO at. It's called Happy Camp and they have been there as EXO-M or as a whole group quite a few times over the years. It's usually hilarious, but there's one part that is very emotional too in one episode. I'm not going to spoil anything, but you have seen a lot of clips from this show during your journey.
The shows in that video are: Happy camp(Chinese show) and EXO Show time (variety show) . You have to watch...... Happy camp has episodes with 12 members, with 11 members
I wasn't able to hold by tears back our boys became hero after this much hard work though I was not with them from the beginning but I'm with them till end 😭
Emotions of being an exols is that even if its sometime a happy thought we always end up crying not because we are bitter but because we are so overwhelmed that even somehow they dont grew up as a whole but they literally left us such wonderful memories that we can hold onto for as long as our hearts wants❤️ Meanwhile here I am feeling all of these emotions💗❤️💔🤧😅😭

Scarb's videos are really good. I particularly like the Exo rewind series. Those videos are a deep dive into everything that happened in a specific year.
i really hope you watch exo showtime soon, it would be really cool if you react to it on patreon or something but even if you watch it on your own, it's so enjoyable and part of every exol-l's formative years! it's also the basis of like 80% of the fandom jokes you see in older videos lol

Sir Kai started TV show today!! It's a quite short one about fashion titled 'the devil wears Joengnam', of which the director is a super famous guy in Korea so I am really exited about that. (go tvn NaPD with Kai) Every moment Kai appears you can hear Exo songs as BGM, especially very frequently D. O. parts of the songs:)
