I've always believed the bible is full of allegories. We've been sold 'heaven' and are looking past this life for a promise that will most likely not come true. There will likely be nothing when we die, we will become food for worms (life cycle)...except those who opt for cremation.

Osiris Egyptian pronunciation is Asir, osir, ausar wesir ausare. Also Isis name is Aset, iset or eset. And it makes sense because they sound more like the east African languages Egyptian is descended from. Also Christian beliefs are born out of the hodgepodge of surrounding beliefs the Jews were exposed to. Even the Yah, Yahweh, El Are all Canaanite Gods. And they were all separate beings. Ancient Egypt also had a hand in Canaanite religions and cultures as well as the Israeli religion. So the beliefs in the Bible are all corrupted. This is what made me start looking at things very differently. My ancestors were more aware and told it very accurately. It's also very telling how our teacher mentioned four pairs of divinity as this belief is seen in Odinala or Igbo spirituality, in the understanding of duality and the four market days. Our forefathers were wise and wouldn't steer us wrong. And the whole Genesis is a metaphor. The snake represents the pagan religions before Abrahamic religion. The Jews moved to demonize the beliefs of the surrounding people so of course the snake an earth spirit who constantly is connected with mother earth and feels her pulse. That's also why homosexuality was specifically demonized because most indigenous people did feel either way about the situation. But it was a way to set the Hebrews apart from others. It's also why they really believe that their God holds them above others. Ancient Egypt religion is African but I don't think it's very similar to what a lot of African tribes believe. Remember many tribes understand that there is life beyond our planet, I don't remember Egypt mentioning that. We also believe in familial reincarnation, but they did not. The Ancient Egyptians believe in royal divine reincarnation, and they believed in the afterlife. I can't speak for all African people but i can speak for Igbos in that we do believe in destiny, and that there is a purpose for us to be here, and that when we die we receive new orders and are sent back. We do have some similar beliefs and i do think it's because there are some cross influenced but i don't think Egypt is in the same school as west African thought. There are even vast differences between Igbo and Akan cosmology but those two have much more in common than with Us and ancient Egypt.
