Me: *sees a dot move really far away* Soap: “there’s a guy over there, he’s got a km, he’s moving 5.7mph, his mothers maiden name is Mary and he works at Pizza Hut”
@SourSweet I usually triple carry just like yourself, but I do it in a different manner. I would normally run double field bags as the one in my arms would be covering a good bit of my torse and the bags were bulletproof for a while as you may remember. Just drop my bag/bullet shield and into a gunfight.
Dudes had 3 more hours than me! Just got it recently, played a lot of other survival games, so was able to pick up the basics just running around the steam server you get, been on official ones since, figured I would learn the base game before trying out mods etc, starting to learn the map now, well at least can find a few medical and military places and that hunter bit, can't pronounce them but can find them, so that's let me start figuring out the rest of it, first character on there survived with cholera for ages because he couldn't find stuff to clean/boil water or treat the infection, ended up with military backpack, nice sniper rifle, all sorts (stumbled into that big military place in the woods) no clean water finally found meds and was killed by the remaining (once the ammo ran out) half a pack of wolves 10 minutes later! A lot would have probably quit then, probably just let themselves die with the cholera and respawned. Dying in the wilderness, staying alive only by randomly finding pools and streams as you, try to stay hidden from other players travelling, was an awesome adventure as far as I was concerned. So I made a character to look at Livonia called John Sick and he found medicine, sods law.
I love how Sour has a knack for finding new people in the game. I have 360 hrs now and I still feel brand new. @SourSweet - Please find me!! Lol. Love your videos man, and the editorial growth of them has inspired me to follow in your fottsteps as well. Bless and Love. Deuce.
there are a number of dayz content creators that i watch, but none create content that is quite as wholesome as yours. you initiated combat with someone and then cut it off when you realized they didnt have the mosin. most other creators would kill the guy and then realize he didnt have a mosin lol. i appreciate that. you make the game slightly more difficult for yourself in order to be more...human
Gekofish is another creator that I highly recommend. He's highly underrated and an amazing person that truly loves the game as much as he loves his audience.
@VState60 I just rewatched the Bangkok Stallion series the past few days for the third time, it's made as the standard of what DayZ content should be, he's the DayZ creator that DayZ creators watch.
Sour, jlk, smoke, geko and what I can recommend is check barmby hope it's spelled right xd but he made a video where he encountered a psychopath in namalsk and I gotta say top 10 dayz vids I have seen.
Sour i just wanna say thank u for making your content man. no bullshit these vids just help me forget all the shit im going through and relax and enjoy something for the first time in a while. Much love Dont Stop Being You
Damn, didn't think I could still get completely blown away by a Sour video after watching for so long, but this one was truly epic! That cliffhanger at the end - can't wait for the next one!
Frankie walked so Sour could sprint into our hearts 💜 Your content is the only Dayz content I actually get excited to watch whenever you post. I've watched and rewatched almost all your videos many times over waiting for the new content to drop.
"Last time I went to the airfield, I died on the top of the roof of the ATC with a bike. This time, I won't die on the airfield..... on top of the roof of the ATC with a bike" 😂 Best commentary ever :D
There is something special about your videos, Ive heard in a past video you have already got ur gray hairs from the game so you are super passive to the stress, I will have to say I really get sucked into the videos you do I just sat thru a 8 hour video of yours mainly because I couldn't stop wanting to know what happened next. (daisy, Peanuts, john*, and you the jam :) ) Will be a long time lover of your content keep up the good vibes.
As a person who just bought dayz your videos really really help. I further want to say how good you are as a content creator, plus keep up the good videos
This is so strange. I was growing up in the east of Germany after the fall of the Berlin wall and the whole atmosphere of this game reminds me of my childhood(stroling around on/in/above all the old GDR and sovjet stuff.
I love that Zero added these motorcycles. Very nice that they despawn at restarts as well. Gives people a bigger chance of getting a headstart, which is good in massive maps like Deer Isle imo.
Your solo snow sniper video was my intro into your content, and this video has made me a subscriber! I thank you for reigniting my want to play this game. ❤ Cheers!
Ah yes. A sour video. A genre all in its own. SourSweet vibes. I’ve come to really appreciate this man and his content creation a lot more today. Sure glad I’m still here to watch this.
Wow man you’re the reason I always reinstall the game just to uninstall it again because I can’t find friends like you lol. Your content is at another level keep it up, and give us that 2nd episode soon 😂
one problem that a lot of dayz maps (noteable exceptions for namalsk and takistan) have is that they feel like chernarus but with all the parts moved around. one thing deer isle does perfectly is the swamp. every time i go in it, i feel lost and anxious, it feels like im suddenly in a dark souls level, and i cant help but crouch instead of run
Hey Sour, how are you? Great Video as usual! I am quite new to the game and I really enjoy watching you but I can't come around noticing how good you are / how fast you even see people. So I was wondering do you have any tips on video settings or such and maybe some tips on your keybinds/keyboard layout to improve my game? Cheers I hope meeting you once! btw what server are you on?^^
i wish someone would make a city map... id love to see a map where the ENTIRE map is a metropolis.. with tons of building types.. skyscrapers.. leaning scrapers where you have to climb up one to get to another jumping across gaps... (parkour)... sewers, tunnels everywhere.. a maze.. blocked areas, having to work out ways thru buildings to get to the other side... just make the city into a huge labyrinth... people can snipe you and you dont know how to get to them etc.. ruined areas, radiated areas, areas with huge numbers of zombies.. suburbs, industrial areas.. train tracks... just everything that a major city has.. i think it could be an amazing experience.. if i knew how to make maps on the game i might give it a go.. but i dont even have the game
i dunno why he's getting cut feet from going barefoot a few hundred yards.. i walked 25 miles barefoot last summer... didnt get any cuts ... the last few miles were a bit painful mainly due to a gravel track i was walking on... but no cuts.. you'd have to literally be walking on razor sharp rocks, glass, or rusty metal or thorns to get cuts..
Poy couldn't find a better companion for his first real adventure in this game. I bet he will play this for a long time ahead. Every new player should have this luck meeting you on their first adventure. But then this game should have to many players. All the rest, who has to go trough all KOS and any other shit that is part of the game, scares most away. Love your vids and seeing forward to the rest of this. I hope to see you together with Hocken123 some time again. Both of you are the perfect match imo.
"iw as just wandering around praying that id find you" I was a new player not long ago and I totally understand the feeling. When you're new, its REALLY HARD to finnd an experienced player who is willing to deal with you slowing them down and getting them killed. So when you do find that 1 in a 100 player, it's really fuckin hard to let go lol
Bro I have watched your videos for a while now I’m a new fan of the channel brotha. Thank you for making these great videos lol I never knew about dayz before your videos probably sounds sad asf but hahaha anyways you’ll be the reason why I buy the game and start playing it looks hella fun
I’ve played quite a bit of dayz but I’ve never wondered off the official servers. After watching this I really want to though. I want to run into you in game and tag along one time!!!
I'm so glad he can make good, entertaining gameplay videos that tell a story without it being a fucking video essay where he just talks and describes everything instead of letting the gameplay just be the video. RamenStyle makes Tarkov videos that are decent but it's so fucking annoying that most of them are just him telling a story instead of showing him playing the game as he plays it.
bro the fact that you got the jump on that awkward silence guy, he still decided to try ignore you and then reload his gun and aims like... if you wanted to kill him it would of been as he entered the building, i dont get why people do that, the encounters on dayz is truly 100% way more fun then just killing and taking their kit
if you ever want a guided tour around deer isle, other than the temple and the frozen tundra, i have about 250 hours on that map. i can at least show you what's up there! i have about 2200 hours in game total.
Make friends? Idk how yall do it... I can't seem to make friends on dayz. Can't trust anyone in that game and when I try to make a friend I get killed...
when people make maps on this game do they usually just add buildings and decorations from some free website or from modders for free? or do they have to buy assets? does it end up costing someone thousands of dollars to make a map???
