Yeah let's be real it's been a long ass time since fnaf was scary. SB is a joke when it comes to spooks. The only thing that's half decent are the VR games since it's pretty immersive. This looks cool ngl.

We no longer play as Scott in this new version. Common misconception, I understand. We now play as "The Creator" as labeled by the game's Steam description. The Creator is most likely a self-insert of Nikson.

This has been in development since the fanverse started and the demo only came out now so its not that shocking but definitely were not expecting this quality for a FNAF game. Now this makes me wonder how fnaf plus would have turned out if not cancelled.

I beat this game, but my "continue" button works intermittently (night just starts and there is no way to get up from the table), I have to start a new game and so on every attempt. In total, it took me 12 attempts, including those where I tried to knock out achievements
Don't know if most noticed, but the notes that you find around actually tell you how to deal with each animatronic. It's a really smart way to give players info without forcing them to sit through a tutorial. Although, I think it would be better to tell us to look for them and actually try to understand what they're representing, as most youtubers I watched didn't really notice it.
The developer Nikson mentioned on Twitter that he wished the notes could serve as the tips, but he believes most people wouldn't pay much attention to them. Those notes you are talking about aren't the main tips. The actual tips, which cover details about each animatronic, your flashlight, and more, appear on the middle monitor after you die. The tip you receive depends on what caused your death.

i love that for these, theres no indication that it happens at all, its just a click flash of movement, a quick sighting. makes the whole thing a lot more creepy
For me, nikson basically did fnaf game that I always wanted to see. Not some colorful pizzaplex with some friendly animatronics, just straight terifying horror game. Fnaf would be much better if it looked like this combining some scary story around it but not complicated at the point that even person behind it is not sure what's going on
I find it funny how the day after this game dropped, it happened to be my 2nd day awake so i actually had to pause watching any of this game for a minute because i was starting to have weird sleep deprived hallucinations and it was all too much and too real for me at that time 😂
Kinda bummed that there's no golden freddy easter eggs, especially since the original tjoc story in the office had a ton of easter eggs with him all of which were generally pretty cool, hopefully we will get some when the full game releases.
It's interesting that the hallucinations are of Chica specifically. I wonder if that's done in the unlikely event that players beat the demo before Chica spawns with the cupcakes, thereby at least guaranteeing she shows up at least once or twice regardless.
2:47 You can OPEN A WINDOW? During my runs I assumed that the Window area was unaccessible and was a sort of punishment ( I thought if I let Freddy escape he'd go there so I couldn't flashlight him and thereby make the night go on longer).... My theory was that it showed the outside of the breaker room, because Foxy once came running from that direction. This would've made things way easier😅
@@FSinceDay1 I only ever got to the living room level in the original one and also never looked up any gameplay footage prior to playing this new version xD I might even revisit the older game since this new one was so much fun so I'll definetly look out for that when I do so😅

There is. Comparing the old and the new shows our appreciation towards the dev by looking at which aspects that are different, which aspects that are good and the not so good between the two.
