Lyrics: Well, it's a, oh Noah Oh oh Noah, Oh oh Noah God's gonna ride on the wind and tide (Well it's a), Oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah God's gonna ride on the wind and tide Brother Noah, my God's talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide) Say you'll ride on the wind and tide Hey children stop, be still, and listen to me God walked down to the rowdy sea He declared that evil had descended to man And then he decided to destroy the land He spoke to Noah and Noah stopped He said "Noah, I want you to build me an ark" I want you to build it three cubits long I want you to build it big and strong I want it thirty high and fifty wide So it will withstand the wind and tide , Oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah God's gonna ride on the wind and tide (Well it's a), Oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah God's gonna ride on the wind and tide (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide) (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide) (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide) Brother Noah Brother Noah, my God's talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide) Say you'll ride on the wind and tide Well after the foundation was laid Then Noah began to hew and build The ringing of the hammer cried judgment The hewing of the saw cried sin and repent A hundred years he hammered and sawed Building the ark by the grace of God When the ark was done God's voice was heard He said, "Now, Noah let me tell you what to do." "Call in the animals two by two." So he called them in the ark two by two He called the bird, the oxford, the kangaroo Then he called in Japeth, and Ham, and Shem Then God began to flood the land He raised his hands to heaven on high Shook the stars and they moved from the sky Shook the mountains, he troubled the sea Hitched the wind, his chariot decree He steped on land and stood on the shore And declared that time there wouldn't be no more Oh Noah, Oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah God's gonna ride on the wind & tide
I can't stop being amazed about how afro American culture is rich and how it influences other cultures all over the world. These 4 guys started something huge.

@@RickR69 Jesus laid down his life, so that people like you and I who have sinned may have relationship with God and forgiveness of sin.. Don't allow your criticism of religious hypocrites to blind you from Gods love... Jesus laid down His life so that you may be saved , in Him there is no hypocrisy Matthew 23:27-28 27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
This is awesome. I love the Jubalaires. I used to listen to them back in the late 40s. I’m pretty sure the first time I listened to them was when I was 10 in 1948. I used to listen to this when I was going to work. Very awesome.

@@Slootyah Do you mean Run On? That features a similar song, God's Gonna Cut You Down, which was also performed by these guys, but it's not quite the same. Unless this song is sampled elsewhere on that album that I'm not aware of, which is possible.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. There's more than a few sampleable portions in this song, and just having that as a talking point for your song is tight.
This is more gospel than rap music, even if his singing looks like rap... Hip hop culture didn't exist at this time you know. Nothing fantastic about gospel being biblical bro.
I'd be down to hang out with an intelligent well spoken educated individual any day over someone who's just blindly following ANY religion... Just sayin @@Ttown310
There's something so classy and graceful about these guys. The harmonies and lyrical flow are exquisite and it's hard not to bop your head along even in 2023. Also, the camerawork needs more appreciation - the two shot close-ups of the singers interlaced throughout is just so cool and timeless - I can't even think of the right words to describe it
Fun fact:they are singing about something in the bible that god spoke to him and told him to make a huge boat for the animals to put in because god will make a huge flood.
Music knows no borders and has the ability to unite people of all kind from all over the world of all ages . Here I am, a metalhead in her early 40s from northern Germany, enjoying a song that was performed like 70 years ago by these extraordinary talented gentlemen.
Soundies are so important to the history of 20th Century music. They really had a sort of video jukebox in the 1940'S and they preserved performances like this. More people need to see this.
Yes even Jesus rapped but there were no cameras and instruments but he had a beatboxer in the background, according to letters of Paul the Apostole and tablets of stone it was more like a freestyle to his followers about morals
Man I love this so much, its what my poppa listened to and I grew up listening to. Brings back so many fond memories of my mother and father. I miss them so much but I'm so thankful and humbled by the gift of God, love and music that they so selflessly gave everyday all the way up to the day they went home. God is good all the time! Shalom
I feel like KDot would make a whole album based on this sound now. Man what a cool play on an old blues. The guitar riff itself is the down beat and music like a super basic freestyle type beat. To even have the forethought to not ‘sing’ to the chords but speak as a melody man back then. So cool
Honestly these guys have better flow than any rapper of the modern century, satisfying mix of swing-time singing and semi-fast paced syllables. Similar flow to Max Jazz in Insomnia.
The cool thing is that two of them lived well into the 90s, long enough to see the style they pioneered become absolutely massive. Not sure what they would have made of NWA though.
I love how there is a hook and everything. This is so awesome! This song has been stuck in my head like current rap song would for a whole month. Total hit even now 💪
@@wryabooI mean, that stuff doesn’t have to mean someone’s not talented. It’s just how they are as people that matters more. I like to think everyone there would be amazing too :D
