Hey guys! A lot of people keep asking about what to do for the rapping part. The rap is considered verse 2, so you use the same chords and strumming as you did for verse 1:)
Elise pleaase help, idk how to place my fingers for the B or the Bm and I really would love to learn how to play ukelele again D: I only learned a little bit when I was studying for kindergarden-teacher D: much love, Hannes!
Elise Ecklund thank you so much this is the first song i have learned on the uke thats not singled down strumming but im not very good yet but ill get better thank you so much
Dude i have the ukelele part DOWN, and then the SECOND I start trying to sing along while playing it my hand forgets the strum patterns and just starts strumming randomly lmaoo
why does this channel not have more subscribers, this is honestly the best channel i've come across i have a lot of trouble strumming, and i've always wanted to play the judge, and this has made it so easy! please, keep doing what you're doing fren, cause whatever you're doing, t's great.

I just started playing the uke today and this tutorial in the 7 minutes it took has me sounding like a pro. I want to thank you so much. I will definitely be subscribing.
Keep repeating and I promise it gets easier! It took me a few days the first time I learned this song! You can always use single down strums with the chords and that makes it a lot more simple!:) hope that helps!
Elise Ecklund OMG thanks so much !!! I'm a big fan !!!! You have an amazing talent and you're helping me so much every time when I'm trying to learn a new song 😍😍 I love you 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Just got a uke and this is the first song I want to play. From never knowing a think about how to play this video helped a lot very easy to understand and follow.
i got my uke about a month ago and i practice 30-40 mins every single day, i’ve improved so so much. i watch all of your tutorials and if i never came across your channel i probably would still be learning a C chord😂 this is the hardest song i’ve learned but this tutorial made it so easy! thank you❤️✨
2:00 Nana (start) 2:14 lyrics (start) 2:52 strum down 3:32 lyrics For the rap just keep using what 2:14 did 2:14 again 4:23: lyrics 5:51: the dramatic verse
do you have any advice for people who have just started playing the ukulele? i got mine yesterday and i have absolutely no idea what to do. im still not tyler joseph yet.
My best advice is to practice a few chords at a time, use single down strums, & take it slow. Focus on accuracy of playing each chord, and then you can work on strumming patterns and speed later:) The C and Am chords are pretty easy if you want to try switching between those first! Hope this helps!
The first time i watched it i thought it was hard i couldnt handle it. Until i practiced from ur vids.. I finally mastered it.. This is my fav uke song from tøp.... Thank you so much... Ur an inspiration to me.. Like yeah... Good future awaits for us all
If you dont have a ukulele, heres a way to play on a guitar: 1. Put a capo on the 5th fret. 2. Convert the chords: Left= ukulele. Right= guitar 1. C = G 2. D = A 3. E = B 4. F = C 5. G = D 6. A = E 7. B = F 8. Am = Em 9. Bm = Fm 10. Em = Bm Got any other chord? just ask and Ill check
Hi Elise. Out of the thousands of ukulele tutors you're by far my favourite. At 40 something :- years of age I'd never picked up an instrument up until 6 months ago and your videos are really helpful so thanks. X
I'm very excited rn. I got my first ukulele 5 days ago and this is the second song I've learned and I've just - right now - started being able to sing as I'm playing it 😂 I wanted to say this somewhere and seeing as you're how I learned this song I may as well say it here 💗 Thank you! ☺️
this has got to be the best tutorial I've ever had. I've played guitar for 15 years, bas for 16 and drums for 5 years. Uke.... less than 3... but this type of exciting presentation does wonders for people wanting to learn. thank you for that. also you're easy on the eyes. so that helps as well. :)
This is the first tutorial from you that I've seen.. And, Oh my God, I LOVE YOU You're such a positive person! And pretty too :D I'm going to learn it and, of course, watch your other videos!
Thank you so much for the videos I have really enjoyed them! I bought a Ukulele two days ago and I have been through a ton of your tutorials. You present them in a great way going through each part of the song. I was thinking Jack Johnson song "breakdown" would be a great on ukulele if you ever want to do a tutorial on that one. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos and attitude
I've trained so much and I made it, Never give up! I bought a ukulele because I got inspired of this channel i think this is the only channel that explains very well! :O
i’ve had such a hard time trying to learn how to sing and strum at the same time, and your channel is the first one that has taught me how to. thank you for this tutorial, this one of me and my friends’ favorite songs and now i can play it for us. i appreciate you sm and you definitely deserve so much more love ❤️
I know i'm late to this video but my brother gave me his ukulele and i was so excited, but when i strum it doesn't sound like yours. Its more like deeper? Any advice?
I got a ukelele for Christmas this year and I learned 2 songs in the span of a day and a half. Your channel makes it suuuuper easy. You earned a new sub. Also thank God that I have musician siblings and friends.
Thank you. I play guitar not ukulele. I have been trying to learn this for way too long and in 5 mins of watching your video I understand this better then I have since the beginning. Great job.
idk if youre still struggling with it but u can use (idk what chord this is I just played it accidently and it sounds similar to Dm) its like an Am but on the second string. so your finger goes on the second fret second string
Fab tutorial! A great start for a ukulele newbie like me. You explain the strumming patterns so well (they seem less scary now!) And you make it fun too :).
what about Am Three lights are lit F But the fourth one's out C I can tell cause it's a bit darker Dm Than the last night's bout Am I forgot about the drought F Of light bulbs in this house C So I head out Down a route I think is heading south Am But I'm not good with directions etc etc etc
Aaah super easy! Looked at it once, took my ukulele. now I'm performing it on stage! In my dreams. You have nice energy though so nothing but good vibes!
You can use the same chords in this video and probably even the strumming on guitar! Just google "Am chord on guitar" and do the same thing for the other chords as well! The progressions are all the same for ukulele and guitar! And because there's no capo, you just play it the same way! I hope that helps:)
I don't own a uke but my friend has one and she learns twenty one pilots songs so she teaches them to me when we hang out lol. This is my favorite strumming pattern, it's so fun to do
This was actually a good tutorial. I just got a ukulele 2 days ago and I’ve got most of the chords down, but I’m not sure when to strum, and this is one of my favorite songs, so thank you!!!
i started playing ukulele yesterday and went to your tutorial, 3 1/2 hours later i could play verse 1! doesn’t seem like a lot but i could barely strum when i started!
This is the first video of you's i've seen. THANK YOU for showing the strum patterns! NO ONE ELSE does! and as a self teaching player I'm a bit afraid of them. so thank you!!! definitely subbing.
My friend recommended your channel to me and I'm so glad she did!!! There are of course so many popular channels with ukulele tutorials but yours are so much better, and you interact with your fans which is so cool!!! Ilysm and I hope to meet you someday! I don't know where you live, but I hope you are fairly local ;)
hey so quick tip: as she’s talking go through and write this down in your notes app. it’s really helpful and if you do that for a lot of songs you can make a folder and play them whenever
Im going back and trying to learn some twenty one pilots songs now that im more skilled, and this song is so fun and addicting to play on ukulele. I have no idea what it is about it but its so much fun! Thanks for yet another great tutorial!😍💖
This tutorial is honestly amazing! There are tons of tutorials that are way too fast and don't even mention the finger placement or strumming patterns so this was great! Also, you are really pretty and cool. You just got a new sub ❤️❤️
If anyone is struggling with strumming patterns, just use single down strums for each chord. Forget the strumming pattern, at least at first! I learned using the uku tabs (?) website. I’m a beginner and it already sounds pretty good!
I’m actually left handed on the ukulele so I have to reverse the strumming patterns XD but still thank you so,so much for teaching me the song! Your voice is beautiful and when I’m sad I listen to your songs and they cheer me up! Heck your the reason I play the ukulele in the first place! I appreciate every thing you do on the channel and hope that you never stop playing! I’m looking forward to all your new videos!
i'm new to playing the ukulele and this tutorial was so cool! I'm able to play the verses pretty well- you should totally do we don't believe what's on tv!!
I bought a ukelele cause of this song and house of gold hhhhh so few weeks ago when i watched this it was too difficult, i couldn't switch the chords or follow each, let's not talk about the strumming..my nightmare...i kept practicing simple songs n got me some tough finger tips...when i cameback to it now i don't find it that complicated anymore, thank you so much i still need so much practice but finally i can play my song.....i still can't sing and play tho but imma practice that too 🤗🤗🤗 thank youuuu
