The South doesn’t think LA looks soft, we think it looks nice. There’s a difference. Compared to our hoods we just feel like a lot of LA dudes live in beautiful weather, amazing sceneries, and nice homes but Yet kill each other over sets and affiliations. There’s kids in the slums of Mississippi still living in shotgun houses from the 50’s…
The reason their neighborhoods look so nice is because most of Compton and LA were predominantly White until they moved to Beverly Hills then The Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians moved in. It ties into the red lining system.
@@anthonyfreeman908 u swear like this mystery man walks around LA county saying his yt channel wit his chest 🤣🤣😭 he not even frm out here idek why he coving LA
I live in the south and I’m a truck driver. I’ve been to L.A numerous times. I’ll tell you this about L.A right now. L.A will trick you because you will think your in some middle class neighborhood nice houses, palm trees, carefully maintained lawns and sidewalks but you will be in one of the worst crime areas around 😂. Now having said that. I would have to say San Bernardino is now possibly the most dangerous place around L.A
I definitely was fooled when I was in L.A. I'm from NYC and the hoods in NYC, Jersey, Philly, B-more ect, people don't have front lawns and backyards and easy parking. When I was in L.A they telling me we in the hood and I'm looking around like nahhhhh no way. But I went all thru South Central, Inglewood, Compton LBC and please don't get mad cuz I know the streets are unforgiving and gang culture runs very deep in L.A, but to someone from NYC it doesn't look bad on the surface. It's actually a compliment and shows how backwards the hood mentality is.
You have to look how cities are structured differently.. my cousin from New York can't swim because yall don't have pools like that.. all cities are built differently. NY has Hella buildings even yall apartments be in tall ass buildings.. Cali isn't like that.. neither is the south..
I’m from Cali. Went to Compton, Inglewood, Long Beach, south central in my Yankees hat. Nothing happened. Y’all are sad fighting and killing each other for streets that are owned by the government lol
The world usually sees the westside of South central on movies and videos which is a nicer looking area, well kept homes and lawns. Outsiders don't usually see the east side of South central, watts, eastside of compton, pico union/ MacArthur park which are every bit of grimey as other cities. Nobody would drive thru watts and say it looks nice. Also I'm pretty sure T Rodgers moved to the bity and not the jungles but could be wrong. And 30s aren't NH. I think we should leave the LA politics to LA people, too many people thinking they know how it goes cuz they listen to the music and watch the youtubes and read Google.
99% of what you said was correct but T Rodgers lived on palmwood drive homeboy period that's not the bitty that's the Js of balling hills Brimshaw district ✌️
T Rodgers didn't move to the jungles he moved to 21st and started BPS there the City Stones came 1st when he didn't like how Crip was taking over everything so he linked up with the Brims Piru St Boys Inglewood Family and Bounty Hunter then known as Green Jackets and formed the Blood Alliance
The way (edit*) Drakeo's death went down (RIP) it does lead one to wonder just exactly who all wanted him (and by extension Stinc Team) out of the way. All those big name celebs and rappers performing and in attendance and fools were still getting weapons backstage and Drakeo was told he was only allowed so many people in his camp while his rivals didn't have capacity limits... I'm not from there and I'm just a fan of music, I wrote about it though in a paper on culture so it'll always spark keep my interest. (Edit: left out the word 'way'.)
That’s an excellent point, Drakeo is my guy but he was incredibly disrespectful and with amount of enemies he made they’re might’ve been a collective conspiracy
@@mluser7634 hey that'd be awesome! It's several thousand words so I'll trim it down to the inclusion of Drakeo and what parts are needed to keep the thesis present in the excerpt.
This dude is a clown and is obviously not from LA. The look of the neighborhood is not what makes it grimy, it’s the people in it. And that goes for any state or city.
In The South,Houses & Neighborhoods That Look Like That Are Usually UpperClass. Yall Dont Look Soft Just Nice looking Neighborhoods Infested With Gangs. lol
I grew up in the J's. It's true, it used to be an all white neighborhood, the apartments are nicer than projects but a lot of dudes refused to come visit me or date me. As soon as I told them where I lived 4018 Gelber Place they was like I'M GOOD!!! So whenever I had a boyfriend that didn't care, I sure did see him as a soldier!!
In the South, it's just as many, and in some cities more, Chicago based gangs as LA. Lots of GDs and VLs the South, especially GDs. Also, remember the blacks who started those LA and Chicago gangs migrated FROM the South originally anyway. Tookie from Louisiana, Larry Hoover/David Barksdale/Jeff Fort from Mississippi, etc etc
@@vidking9145 he did not co find it with tookie where did u get that information from, Raymond Washington and his eastside crew are sole founders the crips, the eastside crips(Raymond’s crew) the expanded to the west side in 1970/1, that’s when tookie and others formed the westside crips, even then I believe tookie joined, now tookie did start the Atlantic drive Compton crips
@@tinyfalcon1185 You're playing semantics bro. My point, which, still stands, is guys from the south were part of the origins of many black gangs in LA and Chicago. Tookie has whole books and documentary series (like Redemption from 2004) where he is considered as a cofounder of the crips, regardless if he came on board slightly later. Their alliance is what made Crips what it is today. Considering that Washington died in '79, Tookie was even the more recognizable "face" of the Crips. Everyone knew about the big buff dude with the fro.
@@AlexJones-wo1im yea I know that I'm just saying 30deep isn't from hoover, swamp stories said he is just cause the orange flag he's not educated on stl
2006 the worst year for LA? Come on man...you're better than that. Crime was way worse in the 70s, 80s and early 90s than it is today or in the early 2000s.
We don’t think they’re soft, they are way more organized. But maybe because the South is more poor, you’ll get snaked easier behind money because people want to move out of the slums, making it hard to be organized like LA is 🤷🏾♂️
I’m from the east coast New York to be exact but I wouldn’t say la took over the south I just think that the culture is what really turnt everybody out
I love Drakeo and I love the Stinc Team for sure they’re hot rappers, but idk where this delusion came from that they run LA. It’s no mf group or gang out here that can run such a diverse city nobody runs anything except their own blocks. You might get a buzz in the city but nobody runs it. I think ultimately that’s what got Drakeo killed was thinking so damn highly of himself in a city where even the biggest get knocked down.
@@lamonesjr5563 You crazy AF. They came to the southside and that was only because they had better cheaper coke. They didn’t come to North Memphis with that BS. I’m in Cali now and this shit is suburbs compared to where I came from. Not saying LA niccas soft cause they not.
I know LA dudes ain’t soft their rep definitely solidified in American History but it’s hard to convince people who live in places stacked up like sardines (Like people from NYC or Chicago) that people who have front and backyards and palm trees go hard lmao
For all those who say La looks nice and glamorous , and we live in nice areas, etc. might I ask and keep in my due to your pigmentation the struggles don’t change .. is it easier to be in poverty and be surrounded by poverty or would you rather be impoverished and be surround and taunted by what seems to be unobtainable riches?? 🤔 I think there is a mental struggle associated with living in California that is unrecognized by non California …. If you fail in a small town you tried , you fail out here no matter what the circumstances due pre-perceived opportunity by others … your a fucc up. So don’t let the sunshine fool you 💯 Proud Californian born and raised
Also BPS didn't like Drakeo and the Stinc Team because K7 from Harlem Rollin 30's Crip 👍🏼 n kicked it with Rollin 40's bc he was from 100's but for anyone saying BPS killed Drakeo or they had beef or he dissed them not really because you would've known it just like he did AZ , Rucci and Munchie B from IFG
@@Lil_tro_Vert yea but Drakeo never dissed them kats and I fuck with there music like OTM & Ralphy but Drakeo wouldn't sneak diss unless it was on a Live and no you don't
BPS had nothing to do with Drakeo getting smacked that smacking came from the hub and the dub of Compton's hoods from the "whimshaw" (that's Hood slang for Wilmington boulevard if you know you know)✌️
My ex sugar daddy lived in the jungles I’m from Bakersfield. I got pregnant and killed his baby by abortion cuz he hit me. He said he wanted a baby before 😁
Been thru south central , the jungles , San Bernardino, long Beach,Chino etc and have seen members but nobody was active .. if u don't want problems mind your business and stay out the way .... #305
Not even gonna lie, that stuff in the beginning of the video is so lame. Basically saying certain hoods look richer than others so no real work is being put in. I grew up in the hood in Houston. I don’t know any mf who’s in the streets who will say LA hoods look like “paradise”. Thats a topic you’ll mainly see on the internet discussed by people who never even lived in a hood cuz they think that shit matters. No one in the hood give af about who looks poorer, well at least the smart ones.
it’s gangstas every where even suburbs it come from the heart not a street named after a slave master and i’m from Houston i know LA got them boys out there too
The reason you have cali gangs in that south because a lot black folk from LA have roots in the south. Also it was easier to hide out in tug south when on the run.
The cities on the East Coast, Midwest and South are much older cities. And they were built colonial style. California was the last area settled so it's much more modern. Plus it's a rich city, it was meant to be suburban. But we all know LA not sweet.
@@lillegend_4835 Although that's true as far as Cali and the whole southwest US were formally Mexico. And some architecture does share hacienda style or pueble style. Those homes were built atleast 100 years after the America stole it from Mexico.
What do u expect to be peace smh u must not really know how this gang shit work sorry politics are different out here . There never be no peace anywhere .
@@JayMunna55 It does look sweet California is a beautiful state with nice weather and palm trees and them classic American houses, don’t let that fool you California is grimey grimey real deadly and gang bangery even with strict gun laws and tbh even more dirty with all the homeless and junkies
I'm in Florida and glorify LA heavy. Same with Atlanta. When I tell em I'm from Fresno they be like "what part of LA is that?"lol in my experience most people in the hood love LA. Why you think it's so many gangs popping up all over even in Tampa.
The P. In Stone came around 1966, and the Stones started around 1958-59, some say earlier when they were called Blackstone Raiders, but anyway 1961 the Stones were already established. Yes on Blackstone street in the Woodlawn neighborhood, adjacent to Hyde Park.
Nfant Nitemare was not killed in the Jungles. That wasn't Tiny HardHead in that photo with C-Mac. The Harlem 30s are not Neighborhood however they are Rolling. And that wasn't the right story behind how Scooby got killed either. Makes us think what other info was false! But…good video overall, especially implementing the history of Baldwin Hills.
Bro also forgot the 60s as enemies and the hunneds. If you gone tell the story, tell the whole thing smh . Didn’t discuss shit about the bsg or the stinc team beef fr either
I’m sitting here binge watching some of these episodes and I get to this one on my city and the first incident that is brought up is someone I know and grew up with….Johnny case is highly unfortunate because I know him and his family and too see this on RU-vid brought it all back home for me. Damn this is crazy. And although I ran into him the county I had know idea that’s how the story took place.
ok so "Chris" aint from 18 but someone yells fuck 18 and he yells fuck BPS lmaoooo yah aight. bro was def fron 18st and he paid the ultimate price. RIP to the kid but hey thats what happens in the hood especially if you're a gangbanger. Maybe don't gangbang and your kid wont get caught in the crossfire.
Bro you're not from Los Angeles you know nothing about mid City South Central West Los or the Crenshaw district why they call it the jungles that dude mistakenly left out is because all of the apartments and duplexes were so closely knit together that they put all sorts of tropical trees except palm trees because those were native southern California trees for the native Los Angeles parrots to live in which they still do to this very day and are endangered... The banana trees and the other trees were brought in but that's not why they called it the jungles it just gave it a theme ✌️
@@EYESLAPJEWS I'm from Inglewood. The old Inglewood. The jungles was always active and place you didn't go sight seeing at lol. I live in the suburbs and I love it!
The reason why the gangs were able to be so widespread.. Is because almost every black person is tied to the south in some way and some families stayed and some moved. When you do your research most African Americans from LA now a lot have ties to texas, Louisiana, Mississippi. Alot of families from Chicago tie back to Mississippi and Alabama. Most new yorkers families are originally from north Carolina and South Carolina. I.E. 50cent family is originally from South Carolina, and many more. Chris Rock etc
This is mostly true my grand father is from Louisiana and moved to Watts California as a kid and my grandma is from Houston but l.a. has a lot of black immigrants like belizeans, Jamaicans and Haitians. Most of the real black Americans with ties from the south are moving back now. A lot of the black immigrants are staying
Grew up in Long Beach Ca in the 90’s now living in NC💙, just know there’s killers everywhere. I must say they’re are more killers in Ca(not that it’s a good thing) I had my fair share of the gang war/race war growing up and got sick of it. Now living a better life on a golf course and never looking back. I don’t care if Cali got better y’all can have that shit lol. I use to look both ways before walking to my car, now I don’t even lock my car door… Big difference. Thanks for the video
YALL REMEMBER THE SCENE IN TRAINING DAY; when Denzel went to his baby mama house?! And he told all the bloods “ I’LL HAVE ALL YALL IN PELICAN BAY…” well, THATS THE JUNGLES
That’s a block the main block. Palmwood 1 way in 1 way out DON’T GO if you not from there seriously you can say what you want about all that looks nice shit. Try it 😂
