I don't have Netflix and I don't want to subscribe, so it looks like Game 17 isn't going to be viewed by me. That's inexcusable. And STOP sending games overseas. Chiefs lost a Home Game last year, which isn't fair to the host city. Plus putting players in danger by forcing long travel times? Greed, pure and simple. How about the NFL creates a league that is separate from what we have that goes around and plays football internationally? There are plenty of decent players that never make it onto the pro football teams.
He's not asking, he offered 300 million of his own money for his part ,sounds like mo needs to do their part and I'am not talking about your taxes, remember it's only on sales tax, shop somewhere else

Private equity with ownership is going to want imput on all decisions. If an equity firm ownes a piece of every team in a division, couldn't they influence on players on each team. They then force teams to trade or not sign players within their investment portfolio. Private equity has never been good for ANY area they get involved with.

Seems like I read they have $15 billion, but that might have a been a year or two ago. Sure seems like they could also foot the entire bill for a new stadium without forcing people to pay half, especially since most of those people can't afford to go to a game and likely can't afford to stream those BS games the greedy NFL is selling to screw the public.
Yeah, exactly. But his EXCUSE has been that it's the fault of the players because they go to the Super Bowl too much. That cuts into the remodeling time by a few weeks so shoot, what's the point of doing ANYTHING about it.
I am a lifetime kc citizen. The reason it hasn't been done is because there's been some initiatives to get a new stadium. KC has always liked having the Hunts as owners. But we don't personally like the plans to move the stadium here in KC. it's kinda thrown everyone as they just did updates to the stadium a while back and that should've included the locker rooms. Kc citizens don't want the stadium downtown. it's a terrible idea. Seems to us locals it's more about people making money than giving the city something it needs. The current location is best as its out of the way. Downtown KC is a nightmare already. We don't want the light rail we like our cars here. KC is spread out town and you have to have a car. Tailgating is a big deal here and any ideas to mess that up will not go over here at all. IF need be we will replace that team with another one. Now they are talking about moving the team like that, just up and move when the city won't spring for millions in taxes in a time when everyone here, a city with little upward mobility is struggling under this economy.... so that has pissed off a lot of people. it looks like it's all about them and not about the fans. We don't want them to leave Missouri. If it seems like it's an attempt to move a successful team to a bigger market, that may be what it is and that will REALLY piss off The local diehard and faithful base.
Living in KC what was voted on was to move the Royals stadium downtown not the Chiefs, but it did include money going to the chiefs for upgrades on there current stadium. Was only 3/8 of a penny in sales tax(that was already being taken off for something else that was about to drop off, so would have not changed the taxes at that time that’s only $75 if you spend 20k purchasing stuff) would have brought more jobs to KC to help that economy crisis u speak of. So sounds like only downside is BBQ in a parking lot killed a multi billion dollar infusion of money into the city.
That is some bs the fans already pay into the stadium cost from buying tickets , beer and other foods and beverages and parking so try and use some of the profits to fix up locker room it should be paid for 10 times over at least
Except if the Chiefs were Kansas side it would still be sold out every game like it is now. Where do you think at least half the fans come from every week.
@@sdfsdfsdf202 not as much as it would be in Missouri. Kansas is not a good place to sell a multi billion dollar franchise.Theres nothing in Kansas other than the Sporting and The Speedway. That's not enough
10% isn't enough for any PE to build a Stadium. Renovation is not the answer, Arrowhead is not a great new age Stadium and has a net negative opportunity cost. Several years back had the vote passed to put a lid on Arrowhead the SB would have been played there, generating a great deal of income to the local economy. A new Stadium will generate a great deal of income. Thats why the people in Kansas has been planning for this for over a decade. To the guy that believes the move will effect attendance 😂. The Chiefs are a 5 state team. Just look at the tags in the parking lot. Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Iowa. You think its going to matter if the drive is to KCK or KCMO? It does not.
Tyler, one of the best explanations of the private equities option in the NFL. I can see Clark Hunt taking advantage of this for renovations at Arrowhead.
The Hunt family has multiple billions and could easily foot the bill for renovations. They've been getting an "F" rating for several years and his only comeback has been that it's the players fault because they keep going to the Super Bowl and it cuts into the renovation time so....why bother. I am NOT a fan of Clark Hunt. He is NOT like his daddy.
First, congrats on hitting your goal. Second, all due respect, but this whole thing with the conditions at Chiefs camp is old news. This whole story came out a whole year ago and was covered by several people back then. It was discovered to be not all that accurate, and after it was said, the Chiefs still went on to win another Superbowl. So I wouldn't be slamming old Clark too much here. I think he knows well what he's doing. You might look a little further into this and do a follow up story on this one.
They literally do this every single year. They ask players to grade their facilities, coaches, etc., and the Chiefs have been getting "F"s for a long time. So yeah, dude, maybe you don't know what you're talking about.
Does this mean they might get enough so they could renovate the stadium and keep playing in Arrowhead? I'd love that. And can we as private citizens buy shares from the private equity groups? THAT would be amazing! I don't mind the idea of private equity groups instead of individuals owning the teams.
You know that the Hunt family has 24.8 billion so they don't really need to tax the public. They could foot every single bill a million times over and not feel a single tiny pinch.
They are going to do another vote in Jackson County before they leave. The Chiefs organization and the mayor AND including the governor want the Chiefs to stay where they are. They failed to sell us the idea of where and what the money is going to do and they didn't like the idea of the renovation and should have presented a better idea so people can put their money where they want it to go.
Doesn't really matter as most people can't afford the tickets, let alone the parking, no matter where the stadium is built....because multi-billionaire Clark Hunt just can't seem to let go of his money to make it more affordable.
They totally renovated the Stadium locker room for the Chiefs as Hunt promised. The Practice facility locker room is old and should get updated. Chat Sport guy is a total Yahoo who wouldn't know where Kansas City is until he got this after school job!
