Hiya from the UK. This video brought back so many memories of my time as a child in Zambia. My father was heavily involved in the construction of the dam as he helped to investigate many of the insurance claims that arose from the work. Particularly after the floods in '58 and 59.. He had a huge photographic archive illustrating the work at the dam. On a personal note and because of my father's connections with the contractors I was privileged to visit the South Bank underground power house before it was commissioned. I also nearly drowned in Kariba municipal swimming pool when an Italian boy pushed me in the deep end before I knew how to swim. Not such a pleasant memory! Thanks again for reminding me why my heart really belongs to Africa. I also enjoyed your video about driving to Chirundu.
