I remember reading a geology book about the Catskills in New York, and being struck by how I was able to read the text about geological movements throughout time, tectonic shifts, water erosion, mile thick glaciers and ice ages, etc. etc. and I was always able to draw a metaphorical parallel between the description of the geological movements and ages, and my own personal experience of development as an individual. The slow arc of massive change, that on the surface may look like nothing is happening, but, unimaginable transformation is taking place, or violent upheaval that would forever change the landscape of what seemed like immovable objects, the elemental sculpting throughout time from seemingly more gentle but incredibly powerful forces such as water. There is a connection between what the Earth goes through and what we as children of the Earth go through. And that connection extends to the stars. As above, so below.

So I have a natal 29 degree Pluto in Scorpio conjunct my 0 degree mars in Sag. And I was born right before a total solar eclipse in Scorpio. Mars Pluto is a wild thing to have natally. Thank you for this insightful video. I have my natal Mars at Cancer 25', so I have been living through a Mars - Pluto Opposition transit literally for years now. As a result of this process, I've personally come to metaphorically think of this as inner roadwork being performed. In this analogy, I've come to view Pluto as the machine that breaks up a highway before it can be repaved. Definitely a ground shaking process!
i have a 29 cancer saturn. I first listened to this talk on Spotify during my commute to work and a vision of “The Faultline” card from “The Wild Unknown Archetype” came to mind, so I listened a second time on RU-vid when I got home with the card in front of me like a mandala to meditate upon. I’m going to leave the card out while I let this sermon continue to work on me. This transit activates my native cardinal T-square + I have a host of planets at the anaretic and zero degree mark on my Chart. Transiting Mars conjuncts my native Saturn 🪐 when he opposes Pluto…Mars is visible in the early morning sky right now and I have made friends with Mars during those hours and Pluto. I pray they are working together for my best good and give me the advantage in this karmic faultline that I see creeping. Other planets at the anaretic degree are my Uranus in Libra, Chiron in Aries for the T-Square; then I have a Leo Venus retrograde at 29, Sag Neptune at 27; Leo Moon at Zero and MC Scorpio at Zero. I can't thank you enough for presentting this. At this time, I've been mapping "Pluto in my Backmirror, or a Soulmate of mine, and seeing how involved it was during major mystical period of my life. I am a medium who has ended up channeling those, like me, who were born into the Pluto in Leo generation. A connection to Pluto with Scorpio, and the Pluto Leo generation opposing Pluto in Aquarius. With regard to Mars-Pluto and the election: I think we need to prepare for one candidate winning the popular vote while another candidate wins the Electoral College. This would engender the tension and rage regarding the unfairness of the election process. As someone with natal Mars-Pluto opposition, I am keenly aware of how the rage of this opposition reacts to underlying unfairness.
Electoral process is the best in the world. We have sovereign states. Otherwise, we would have California running the country. Look how well they run their state.

Was does everyone act so surprised when the popular vote doesn’t agree with the electoral college. People just don’t understand the checks and balances system. Additionally, if people really want fair elections, then we need all states to be required to verify voter identities, & states allowing non-citizens to vote needs to be stopped.
I feel it is a big contribution to bring the poetic and symbolic language as a practice deepening the understanding of archetypal forces, for the simple fact that as we go deeper into astrology as inner work we eventually land into the archetypal forms. The symbolic language is a means of this understanding.

hello Adam, I've been a fan for a very long time, I want to let you know that I did not appreciate this video, this video of scared me so much terrified triggered, I have thought a million battles, I have been to rock bottom, I have almost ended my life multiple times I have suffered bad karma of life, I have learned the lessons. Fought the battles, but I'm still here, and for the first time in my life, I feel safe, secure and blessed with the home, but. I go to you for guidance and to feel safe and reassured the universe to guide me, but when I listen to this video, it triggered me, I felt anger uncertain of what to come, I can not go through any more rock bottom, I cannot suffer another second on this earth, because I will not make it, I do not have it in me, just suffer anymore. There may be people that have had not as bad karma easier trails, but I've barely been here on earth for the past decade or 2 decades, and I just finally feel ok, but now I don't now I'm scared now I'm terrified, I feel uneasy, unhinged, I just wanted you to know that I love all your work, I followed you for years and years and years, and I, you are my daily. Meditation, but when I listen to this video, it upset me good, scared me.
Who inhabited the souls of the prehistoric peoples ? Australopithecus, Homo Erectus, Homo Heidelbergensis and all the others who evolved into us ? This talk (so far 😂) sums up why I'm looking forward to year one class starting! You aren't just regurgitating lists of significations. You preface with "this is how I see it, but you don't have to," and then you give examples of why this makes sense to you. Also, your point of, we are all experiencing these transits, but it may not be directly affecting us individually so much as someone around us. I feel our society is sorely lacking in the ability to stand witness and give space to those people/events to unfold. This is how I would envision a talk given in ancient times (minus the togas 😂). While we have unarguable mathmatical facts of where the heavenly bodies are in the cosmos at any given time, to bring it down here, we need poetry, imagination, creativity, logic, observational skills, and other very human traits. This is where the art and science of astrology meet. This metaphor is a great example! I will be looking at Mars/Pluto placements and transits in my and my family's charts over the next few days. There was an event that started me down the path of astrology that affected us but in different ways. For me, the event(s) felt very karmic and in alignment with my soul's journey, especially in hindsight, even though it absolutely sucked. While I fully believe in free will, I also believe there are times when the universe places a course correction in our paths.

Early this morning I was outside and saw the moon right in front of me. To the right I could clearly see Jupiter (thanks to a star app) and to the left of the moon was mars. This new moon is right next to my natal moon and mid heaven at 6 Scorpio. I feel a tectonic shift in the signs I’m seeing from the stars. My confidence (mars) in acting on my intense emotions (mars ruled moon in Scorpio) is growing (Jupiter).
#grabbed I had an accident a few days ago and ended up fracturing my foot in two places. Devastating for me, as a highly independent and very active person. I can’t walk, weight train, or drive, and am now reliant on my mum (Pluto transiting my 4th) which is creating a small amount of friction between us and in the home. Transiting Mars (10th) has been squaring my late degree Libra Ascendant, and I’ve been forced to take time off work, which, as a workaholic, I loathe to do. My new boss is extremely supportive and has my assigned my work to my colleagues, who were happy to help. Up until now, I’ve only taken 1 sick day in the past 3 years. Natally, I have Mars in Pisces (6h) at 29 degrees. Natal Pluto conjuncts my 1st house sun and is inconjunct my moon. I feel like the Universe had to make me vulnerable so I could learn to accept support and love. Ironically, the role I work in is helping needy people.
Weirdly I fractured my tibia after a random fall in March last year. I also have mars in pisces. Lots going on in my chart at the time as well. It’s been shocking. Hoping your recovery is quick. Practice patience. 💜
In Tarot the card of the planet Mars is the Tower. In a similar way to which you speak of hitting a bottom and the acceptance of necessity that follows, the card represents on (let's say) it's fullest expression, lightning striking a tower which, while destructive, is a tremendous release of energy & illusion and what one could term a return of the King. That seeming reversal into the opposite is reflected in emotional release itself. For instance, if sadness is fully gone into, probably brought on by an event, one will see the sadness transform into a sort of joy right at the peak of the emotional intensity. Jung called upon the Greek word Enantiodromia for this conversion into the opposite. I would also say the emphasis on hitting a bottom may lead us to imagine that all extreme transformation occurs that way. One of my problems with some AA thought is that this is simply untrue for many people. It can happen slowly overtime like Adam speaks of with the fault lines. Often the actual transformation seems to come quite suddenly for little apparent reason but it is a natural result of a process one has been going through. Hear me very generally but I will risk going off on a tangent relating this to addiction by saying the main reason AA and NA are different groups is because it is seen that alcoholics tend towards a certain psychology that is very emotionally repressed and this is likely why they generally hit a bottom the way they do instead of a more gradual cleansing away of the dirt covering ones true self. This is SO important to point out because it feeds the idea of spiritual transformation as a sudden event of great proportion instead of what it often is as a long process of disillusionment.
One author says of the Tower (paraphrasing) that when the lightning strikes at that exact moment Zeus (Jupiter) has defeated Chronos (Saturn) and essentially the divine order of the cosmos returns.
this is great. I hit a bottom with my masturbation habit. After using 4 times consecutively sunday night I spent all day monday in bed physicaly recovering. it was bad. then tuesday i spent the day dealing with the mental side effects. I was hating life. suicidal, it was bad. I was real worried cause I tried real hard to put 25 days together and was feeling great and then the above happened so I cant do it anymore cause who knows if ill survive next time, but it's not like i'll stop having urges, its like being an alcoholic and all of a sudden the drink just starts making you so sick its not even worth it anymore, but all that crap youve been running away from is still there. i was really upset at first and thinking it was unfair cause how could existence give me such a high sex drive and then say I cant do it anymore, but I'm staying positive and see it as an opportunity to finally start to live life. its scary but im excited for the journey. This was well timed as I have my 1st session or ART therapy today. I find it ironic that she wants to 'give me a voice and stand up for myself' just as Mars is going thru my career house.....the fault lines in that area of my life have been creeping for about 10 years now and something is definitely shifting currently.

God this is hitting home- I have my natal Chiron in Aries 6th house at 27 degrees. Has been, is and will be a long tough journey if I can't accept and let go of what is happening to my body. My sun and Lilith are also very close by in Aries in the 3rd decan and both Mars and Pluto are my chart rulers. Natal Mars in Cancer and natal Saturn at 26 degrees Cancer
Okay, for me personally, the term "karma" and related terms like karmic are very off-putting and don't fit with how I've observed the universe and life to work. Does anyone have a suitable alternative word I can substitute? Bonus points if it's a Greek/Hellenistic term
The word "fate" and its meaning in Hellenistic astrology is very similar to the Indian concept of karma...you probably just dont like the various new age uses of the word, and I would agree with you...but the roots of astrology share the ideas of karma and fate/fortune as interconnected concepts...Indian and Hellenistic astrology share many other things in common, as well...

Natal 12th house 29° cancer sun and 29° aries midheaven I have been through the loss of my parents and sorting out all of their worldly possessions and finishing the business of their estate coinciding with Pluto's oppositions to my natal Sun and square my midheaven
That sounds brutal! How is it going for you so far (if you want to say)? When pluto squared my natal moon, my mother tried to kill me, so i can't even imagine the level of awful when adding uranus and mars into the mix, wow! Hang in there!
