Presenting the The Kashmir Files Interview with director Vivek Agnihotri and producer-actor Pallavi Joshi. The Lallantop editor Saurabh Dwivedi talks to Vivek about the making of Kashmir Files, how the research took place? Why Anupam Kher’s face is painted with Shiva metaphor in the Hindi film, and the rich Kashmiri heritage behind it? The Kashmir files, which is raking in the moolah at the box office, is also creating polarizing unprecedented reaction in the society. One question the critics of the film are asking is why the then governor Jagmohan was not mentioned in the film who was one of the key figures in this historical episode. Director Vivek Agnihotri is also asked, what did he talk when he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently after which Modi Strongly defended the film. One of the major criticisms of The Kashmir Files is, that it shows the killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the film, but completely omits the killings of Kashmiri Muslims by the terrorists. Jo log isme shamil thae wahi log movie banwakar hinduo ki bhaonao se khel rahe hain. Kya rajnitik andhbhakti hai, agar gussa hai to BJP ko har jagah se hara do. 😡Hairat ki baat ye hai ki 1990 mein Kashmir mein rastrapati shashan tha aur governor thae Jagmohan Malhotra BJP ke senior leader. Saaf baat hai ki BJP rajnitik labh ke liye us time chup thi aur Kashmiri brahmano ko marne diya.😡. BJP ne VP Singh ki sarkaar bhi nahi girai. ab tak 10 lakh se zyada Kashmir musalmano ki jaan ja chuki hai. Lekin unpar ho rahe atyachar par bolne ko bhi taiyar nahi. @@indiandrosmani आप जैसे लोगो की सोच पर हसी आ रही है, आप जैसे लोग किसी के दुख में शामिल ना होकर उसमे भी गलतियां निकलने में लगे रहते हो, आप जैसे लोग की अंध भक्ति भी दिख रही है, जो आपको उन लोगो के दर्द को नही देखने दे रही जिन पर बीती है। आप जैसे लोगो की अंध भक्ति सच स्वीकारने से भी रोक रही है। फ़िल्म को किसी राजनीतिक चश्मे के बिना देखो, जो उस समय हुआ, उसके कारण गिनाने का अपेक्षा ये देखो की उस समय जो लोग पीड़ित थे, उन पर क्या बाती होगी। बाकी गुनहगार कौन है, ये तो समय सबका हिसाब करेगा,

Bahuguna राजीव गांधी देश के प्रधानमंत्री रहे 31 October 1984 से 2 December 1989 तक भाजपा नेता टिक्का लाल टपलू जिनकी हत्या से कश्मीर नरसंहार की शुरूआत होती है उनकी घर में घुसकर हत्या हुई 14 सितंबर 1989 को यानि जब टिक्का लाल जी को मारा गया तब राजीव गांधी देश के प्रधानमंत्री थे टिक्का लाल टपलू जी के हत्या के बाद 4 नवंबर 1989 को जम्मू कश्मीर के हाईकोर्ट के जज नीलकंठ गज्जू जी को घर में घुसकर मार दिया गया तब भी राजीव गांधी प्रधानमंत्री थे। 1986 Kashmir riots जिससे सैकड़ों कश्मीरी पंडित मारे गए तब भी राजीव गांधी प्रधानमंत्री थे। पूर्ण बहुमत लेकर सत्ता में बैठे राजीव गांधी ने क्या इन हत्याओं पर इस्तीफा दिया? क्या आपने किसी एक भी सेक्युलर आदमी का पोस्ट राजीव गांधी के खिलाफ देखा जो भाजपा को जबरदस्ती इसका जिम्मेदार ठहरा कर अपना पीछा छुडा़ने में लगे हैं। वोट तो कांग्रेस को भी हिन्दुओं से ही मिलते हैं फिर ये इतने पापमुक्त क्यों है? वीपी सिंह देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने 2 दिसंबर 1989 को और हिन्दु कश्मीर छोड़कर भागे 19 जनवरी 1989 को यानि जो कुछ हुआ उसके लिए सिर्फ एक महीने पुरानी सरकार और उस सरकार को बाहर से समर्थन देने वाली भाजपा जिम्मेदार है और जो पांच साल पूर्ण बहुमत से राज करके चले गए पाक साफ है। जगमोहन जम्मू और कश्मीर के दो बार गवर्नर रहे। पहली बार राजीव गांधी के समय 26 अप्रैल 1984 - 11 जुलाई 1989 तक 1987 में नेशनल कॉन्फ्रेंस और कांग्रेस मिलकर चुनाव जीती और फारुक अब्दुल्ला सीएम बने। 1990 जनवरी में वीपी सिंह सरकार ने जगमोहन को वापस जम्मू और कश्मीर का गवर्नर नियुक्त किया और 18 January 1990 फारुक अब्दुल्ला ने इस्तीफा दे दिया जब तक जगमोहन श्रीनगर पहुंच कर चार्ज संभालते अनाथ कश्मीर में 19 जनवरी की रात कश्मीर में पंडितों के लिए आखिरी रात साबित हुई। 30 साल बाद वो बता रहे हैं इस सबके लिए भाजपा और जगमोहन जिम्मेदार हैं क्योंकि पता इन्हें कुछ भी बोलकर मूर्ख बनाया जा सकता है लेकिन एक बात याद रखिए जब कश्मीरी पंडित सहायता मांगने गुरुतेगबहादुर के पास गए थे जब औरंगजेब ने दिल्ली में 09 नवम्बर 1675 भाई मती दास जी, भाई सतीदास, भाई दयाला और गुरु तेगबहादुर जी को दिल्ली के चांदनी चौक में जिहादी तरीके से शहीद किया गया। तब न जगमोहन गवर्नर थे ने वीपी सिंह-राजीव गांधी की सरकार थी लेकिन मारने वालों की सोच वो ही थी। आरे से चाहे गिरिजा टिक्कू काटी गई हों या भाई मती दास काटने वाले एक ही सोच के थे। और अपनी लड़ाई इसी सोच के खिलाफ है 26 जनवरी 1992 को श्रीनगर में तिरंगा फहराने वाले नरेंद्र मोदी जरूर आज देश के प्रधानमंत्री है #KashmirFiles

Saraswathi,who is close to my heart , is now almost a lost symbol. The anti-intellectualism ,so wide-apread in Modern India is a sign that Saraswathi is searching hard to find her place in modern India. Happy to see that she figured in the movie and is being discussed in the video. There's of Saraswathi is the story of lost classical culture of India. Many of the aspects of classical culture like music,dance, Sanskrit, Pali, & its language, phonetics, grammer, literarure etc, philosophy, yradition of Ajanta, Ellore,Architectural marvels now only limited to South India, the secular study of subjects, all have vanished or are on their way to extinction. Certain, we can live those times or replicate it. But at least they can be examined vigorously in a living spirit,of course along with modern science. Nagarjuna and Shankar were outstanding logicians,so we had this tradition of logics and debate. That spirit can be revived,because the West presents itself as aiming example and we can learn and imbibe that spirit. It is not alien to Hindus. The diversity a.ong Hindus is a result of free thinking, though , in the course of time it shrank to matters spiritual and worldly affairs took back seat. Though sanyas or flight from the world won in due course, relegating Hindu mind's engagement with the world of flesh and blood, otherwise how would one explain 'Lamashastra',Khajuraho and Konark temples. The puritanical Victorian British masters in India and their Christian clergy disapproved and passed their final verdict, and we have accepted their verdict, which lays opens the question,whether the Hindus have a need took their whole past afresh,questioning their wisdom or stupidity or motive.

Read the disclaimer of the movie which itself says “hum is kahani ke tathya aur sach ka daava nahi karte” … get educated instead of participating in propaganda … same kind of movie was done in 2005 which was completely banned in gujarat without any inquiry that film was parzania ho and watch it get educated and only then u will be able to understand the ideology and propaganda

Personally I know a couple with their kids had migrated from Kashmir in early nineties who never revealed any details of their migration to the southern states but continued to face their life gracefully. The Kashmir Files throws light on the torture faced by thousands of families and their subsequent fleeing heavy heartedly as there wasn't any option but to leave.Now I understand that these Kashmiris were traumatized to reveal the truth, started their life afresh and live peacefully. Ifound them to be successful in their own way and feel really good that they didn't retaliate by using violent means. God bless the Kashmiri Pandits 🙏

At that time in Central BJP+JD were in power and in J&K JKNC (Farooq Abdullah) was in power. Although Farooq Abdullah was with full majority, he was also supported by Congress. Actually JKN+Congress alliance contested the election (1987) and they won 87% of the seats (JKN itself got the absolute majority!) . Both BJP and Congress (and also other parties) were all focused on vote bank and as usual no political party cares if people suffering. The largest (and most of) exodus of Kashmiri Pandits happened under Governor rule (ie. after 19 January 1990). So one can say everything was officially the responsibility of BJP+JD who were in power in central. Both BJP and Congress enjoyed the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits because 1) they never cared about people 2) it was actually helping them to secure their vote bank. Even today BJP is using the “exodus of Kashmiri Pandits” as a tool to polarise people. The irony is that BJP succeed to convinced people that it was congress fault and so many Hindus really believe that it must be Congress in power at that time.

He is from IIMC, this shows how he reached here and why he talks so rationally. Not like other directors who directly got a chance to become directors due to nepotism.

You are so right. He comes across as a very intelligent man. I have seen some of his interviews too. He talks very logically & sounds very well informed .

@@iamawarrior3386 IIMC - Indian Institute Of Mass Communication. Zero relation with IIT or IIM. Later he studied management from a Harvard Branch. You should have read it carefully. Mass Communication is study of media/direction/news /camera , not engineering.
