I am from California, I currently live in Ghana. These stories are extremely sad yes, but if you care you will get involved in this situation. I currently work with women and girls here in Ghana. I am using my knowledge, know how, and resources that I can tap into in the States to pull things together where I am. If we continue to sit in the States and simply feel sorry for these women, how can we honestly assist them to first know their value, and second to help put systems in place that will give them hope. Their government is not going to help them, but we have what it takes to assist one section to the other. I'm very happy I came.

How can you sit idly by and watch the women struggle like this carrying back breaking loads to make little money to look after children that they had with those same useless men. This is why I know Ghanaian men do not respect their women.
